Optimization of Rotor Blade Stacking Line Using Three Different Surrogate Models

  • This paper describes the shape optimization of rotor blade in a transonic axial compressor rotor. Three surrogate models, Kriging, radial basis neural network and response surface methods, are introduced to find optimum blade shape and to compare the characteristics of object function at each optimal design condition. Blade sweep, lean and skew are considered as design variables and adiabatic efficiency is selected as an objective function. Throughout the shape optimization of the compressor rotor, the predicted adiabatic efficiency has almost same value for three surrogate models. Among the three design variables, a blade sweep is the most sensitive on the object function. It is noted that the blade swept to backward and skewed to the blade pressure side is more effective to increase the adiabatic efficiency in the axial compressor Flow characteristics of an optimum blade are also compared with the results of reference blade.

  • The SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) is whooped up and many Organizations have considered the SOA as the next generation architecture. Due to misunderstanding of the SOA, they think that the CBD is not useful anymore and may be completely replaced by the SOA. In this paper, we presented the critical success factor, technology and successful construction methods of the CBD based SOA. So, we expect that this paper provides the guides for adopting and realizing the SOA.

  • Recently, there have been various attempts for the adoption and spread of Building Information Modeling (BIM) in the construction industry. However, the spread of BIM has been less satisfied than expected, because of the insufficient, expensive hardware and software for the authoring, analysis and so forth. As a solution to resolve the obstacles, the applications of cloud computing technology to BIM have been introduced. Due to the vendor-dependent functions and lack of verification on the work process, the spread of cloud-based BIM has been limited in Korea. Therefore, this study proposes the functions of cloud computing services which can support BIM-based design processes through the review of practitioners, questionnaire survey and analysis of design process.

고층건물 피난계단에서의 연돌효과에 대한 현장실험 (Field Experiments on Stack Effect in Stairwells of High-Rise Building)

  • The fact that the major cases of life casualties are from smoke in the fire accidents and the expected steep increase of skyscrapers, huge spaces, multiplexes and huge scaled underground spaces demand establishment of efficient smoke countermeasure. The architectural factors affecting the pressure field of building should be examined for the successful design and operation of smoke management system and the stack effect is one of the important factors. The field experiments on stack effect in stairwells of high-rise building with regard to open/close condition of door are carried out to evaluate the features of pressure applied to door between each compartments, i.e, stair, lobby and accommodation. The procedures and results of experiments are presented.

  • 유비쿼터스라는 단어는 이제 더 이상 생소한 단어가 아니게 되었다. 국가차원에서 주도적으로 유비쿼터스라는 분야를 개척하고 있으며, 이제 더 이상 SI업체들도 유비쿼터스를 배제하고는 성장하기 힘든 상황에 이르게 되었다. RFID만을 보더라도 대형 SI업체는 물론 중${\cdot}$소형 업체들도 경쟁적으로 뛰어들고 있다. 이러한 현상은 국내뿐만이 아니라 외국의 경우도 마찬가지로 IBM, HP, MS등 글로벌 업체들까지 뛰어들고 있는 상황이다. 일반적인 시민들이 가장 관심이 많은 것은 집이다. 내가 사는 곳에 관심이 많을수 뿐이 없는 것이 현실이며 현재 이러한 주거 공간에도 유비쿼터스가 파고 들고 있으며 유비쿼터스가 접목된 주거 공간이 이미 집을 장만하고자 하는 시민들의 선호 대상이 되고 있다. 현재 최첨단 인프라가 구축된 아파트들에 더 많은 프리미엄과 사람들이 몰리는 것을 증거로 들 수 있다. 여기서 유비쿼터스와 주거지역의 만남은 현재 계속 진행중인 상황이다. 그러나 아직은 제한적이고 소극적인 방향으로 진행되고 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 주거지역에 유비쿼터스를 도입하는 유비쿼터스 홈네트워크를 그려보고 유비쿼터스 홈네트워크 구현을 위한 SI기술들을 분석하고자 한다.

  • A transportation problem in Korea is a serious issue that has to be solved urgently in the motor era of 15 million vehicles. Recently ITS has been introduced to improve efficiency of the current roads because an excessive budget and a long term construction are needed to build new roads. Therefore the government enacted the law as of ITS and the in architecture. However, these ITS information services were oriented to mainly vehicles and drivers, not public entities such as bus driver, passengers and so on. Nowadays lots of local autonomous city introduced a public transportation information system (PTIS), and providing useful information for the public. For this PTIS, important design issues are to be focused on detecting and tracking technology of moving bus, and a wireless communication link to transmit the location information. This paper presents design models using several wireless communication methods, and an implementation case using a Wireless packet Data communication Network (WDN) to transmit bus location information at Seoul, Korea.

급기가압 제연시스템의 방연풍속 형성특성에 대한 수치해석적 분석 (Numerical Analysis on Features of Airflow through Open Door in Pressure Differential System)

  • The fact that the major cases of life casualties are from smoke in the fire accidents and the expected steep increase of skyscrapers, huge spaces, multiplexes and huge scaled underground spaces demand establishment of efficient smoke countermeasure. In pressure differential systems for smoke management, the speed of airflow through open door between accommodation and lobby should be maintained over 0.5m/s on the whole area of door to prevent smoke from infiltrate into evacuation root when the door is open for refuge. The numerical analysis on features of airflow through open door are carried out and the results are presented.

  • A law and enforcement ordinance related to "ubiquitous city" (U-city) has been announced officially in Korea and practical standardization which is connected with U-city is in progress. The U-city defines citywide service over a city providing its infrastructure. The key facilities of U-city include intelligent equipments, networks, and operational facilities. Especially, the main focus of them is the intelligent equipments that are defined as facilities being applied to information technology. However, U-city has not been provided with standards related to actual construction of intelligent equipments so far. In this article, we survey standards for intelligent equipments for existing infrastructure and U-city's services.

  • 정보시스템의 효과적인 개발 및 운영을 지원하기 위한 활동에는 품질 보증, 감리 등이 있다. 이중에서 감리는 정보시스템의 전체 개발 수명주기에 걸쳐서 시스템의 품질을 개선시키기 위한 핵심활동이라고 할 수 있다. 현재 공공 정보시스템 감리는 기존의 정보시스템감리기준(정보통신부고시제1999-104호)를 활용하여 수행하고 있지만, 감리영역이나 점검사항이 현재 IT 환경과 맞지 않고 실제 감리에 적용하기 어렵다. 또한, 정보시스템 개발수명주기에 걸쳐서 감리를 수행해야함에도 불구하고, 현실은 그렇지 않으며 수명주기별 감리기준도 명확하지가 않다. 본 연구에서는 ISACA(Information Systems Audit and Control Association)의 COBIT(Control Objectives for Information and related Technology)와 IT 관련 국제 표준들을 벤치마킹하여 정보시스템 감리프레임워크를 제시하였고, 이의 운영 및 활용 방안을 제안하였다.
