  • Theoretical foundations of the knowledge management(KM) have been perceived still developing in the field. And, the literature shows many key success factors for KM, but, in more conceptual and abstract term. Companies interested in knowlege management demand for practical guidelines. Based on the constituent elements of KM, this study classifies key success factors identified from thirty three success cases, domestic and in other countries. Further, fifteen propositions are suggested and discussed for future research and project management in KM.

  • In the course of continous work on tubers of Gastrodia elata, a new constituent, 4, 4$^{I}$-dihydroxybenzyl sulfoxide was isolated from the ethyl acetate soluble fraction prepared from the methanol extract. The structure of the compound was identified from the elemental analytical and spectroscopic data in comparison with those of non-substituted benzyl sulfoxide.e.

  • Choline is an important membrane phospholipid constituent and a neurotransmitter precursor that is minimally synthesized in brain. The long-term maintenance of brain choline concentration is dependent on choline transport from plasma, which occurs via saturable transport system at the blood-brain barrier. In the present study, we examined to elucidate the characteristics of transport of cationic amines, especially choline which is one of cationic amines, to BBS using conditionally immortalized rat brain capillary endothelial cell line (TR-BBB) in vitro. • Atherosclerosis is a main cause of cardiovascular diseases (that is angina. hypertension. cardiac infarction) and stroke. High level of low-density lipoproteins (LDL) in blood has been implicated as an important factor of atherosclerosis progression. Recently researches in endothelial cells unveiled the roles of Iysophosphatidylcholine (LPC). a constituent of oxidized LDL in atherosclerosis. (omitted)

  • The behavior of Ni-Zn ferrite/Mn-Zn ferrite composite electromagnetic absorber was investigated. The imaginary part of complex permeability of the composite was higher than that of either ferrite alone at all frequency range (50∼1400MHz) studied. The difference, which was pronounced in low frequency range, was reached the maximum value when the composite consisted of constituent ferrites with equal amount. Since the thickness in inversely proportional to the imaginary part of complex permeability for the ferrite absorber, it was possible to reduce the thickness of electromagnetic absorber by employing a composite of two different ferrites.

  • Of mushrooms found in Japan, approximately 35 species are classified as poisonous mushrooms. The mushroom poisonings caused by these mushrooms are classified as three types accodring to the symptoms and their toxic constitutents. The first type is the cholera-like symptom which is induced mainly by the toxic constitutents such as cyclopeptide and gyromitrin. The second type is the neurological mainfestations induced by muscarine (cholinergic), muscimol (delirium), psilocybin (hallucinogenic) and coprine (antabuse-like).

  • Microelectronics device performance and its reliability are directly related to and controlled by its constituent materials and their microstructure. Specific processes used to form and shape the materials microstructure need to be controlled in order to achieve the ultimate device performance. Examples of front-end and back-end ULSI processes, packaging process, and novel optical storage materials are given to illustrate such process-structure-property-reliability relationship. As more novel materials are introduced to meet the new requirements for device shrinkage, such under-standing is indispensable for future generation process development and reliability assessment.

  • Stress and deflection of Active Fiber Composite(AFC) embedded and/or attached composite structures are numerically investigated at the constituent level by the Direct Numerical Simulation(DNS). The DNS approach which models and simulates the fiber and matrix directly using 3D finite elements need to be solved by efficient way. To handle this large scale problem, parallel program for solving piezoelectric behavior was developed and run on the parallel computing environment. Also, the stress result from DNS approach is compared with that from uniform field model.

  • We consider the set of commuting pairs of matrices and their preservers over binary Boolean algebra, chain semiring and general Boolean algebra. We characterize those linear operators that preserve the set of commuting pairs of matrices over a general Boolean algebra and a chain semiring.
