  • Due to the significant aerodynamic interference from sub-towers and surrounding tall buildings, the wind loads and dynamic responses on main tower of three-tower connected tall building typically change especially compared with those on the isolated single tall building. This paper addresses the wind load effects and equivalent static wind loads (ESWLs) of three-tower connected tall building based on measured synchronous surface pressures in a wind tunnel. The variations of the global shape coefficients and extremum wind loads of main tower structure with or without interference effect under different wind directions are studied, pointing out the deficiency of the traditional wind loads based on the load codes for the three-tower connected tall building. The ESWLs calculation method based on elastic restoring forces is proposed, which completely contains the quasi-static item, inertia item and the coupled effect between them. Then the wind-induced displacement and acceleration responses for main tower of three-tower connected tall building in the horizontal and torsional directions are investigated, subsequently the structural basal and floor ESWLs under different return periods, wind directions and damping ratios are studied. Finally, the action mechanism of interference effect on structural wind effects is investigated. Main conclusions can provide a sientific basis for the wind-resistant design of such three-tower connected tall building.

  • Damage caused by wild animals such as pheasants and magpies is a problem in rural areas. A bird repellent system based on sensing and repelling farm pest animals and birds is proposed herein. This system is equipped with a bird model part on a supporting platform and comprises a sound source generator, a system control user interface, and a sensor in the center. The sensor is composed of an illuminance sensor and a PIR sensor. The illuminance sensor distinguishes between day and night, whereas the PIR sensor detects birds or wild animals and outputs them from the sound generator. The entire system can be managed easily by the user interface and system control.

  • A grid-connected inverter can be used in grid-connected or stand-alone modes. Generally, a grid-connected inverter operates in a grid-connected mode, but the inverter operates in stand-alone mode if grid faults occur. In the stand-alone mode, the grid-connected inverter must supply electric power to a critical load that needs to receive stable power even though grid faults occur. Generally, three-phase loads are used as critical loads, but a single phase is configured in some cases. In these conditions, the critical load is required to unbalance the load power consumption, which makes the three-phase load voltage unbalancd. This unbalanced voltage problem can cause fatal problems to the three-phase critical loads, and thus must be addressed. Hence, this paper proposes an algorithm to solve this unbalanced voltage problem by the individual phase current control. The proposed method is verified using Psim simulation and experiments.

  • The paper studies an existence problem of a (generalized) universal covering space over a digital wedge with a compatible adjacency. In algebraic topology it is well-known that a connected, locally path connected, semilocally simply connected space has a universal covering space. Unlike this property, in digital covering theory we need to investigate its digital version which remains open.

  • In this paper, we will introduce the folding on the connected sum of some types of manifolds which are determined by their fundamental group. Also, the fundamental group of the unfolding of the connected sum will be deduced some types of conditional foldings restricted on the elements of the fundamental groups are deduced. Theorems governing these relations will be achieved. Some applications in manufacturing are presented.

  • In this paper, the charge control with the input voltage feed forward is proposed for the input series-output parallel connected converter configuration for high voltage power conversion applications. This control scheme accomplishes the output current sharing for the output-parallel connected modules as well as the input voltage sharing for the input-series connected modules for all operating conditions including the transients. It also offers the robustness for the component value mismatches among the modules.

  • A Nielsen number $\bar{N}(f:X-A)$ is a homotopy invariant lower bound for the number of fixed points on X-A where X is a compact connected polyhedron and A is a connected subpolyhedron of X. This number is extended to Nielsen type numbers $\bar{NP_{n}}(f:X-A)$ of least period n and $\bar{N{\phi}_{n}}(f:X-A)$ of the nth iterate on X-A where the subpolyhedron A of a compact connected polyhedron X is no longer path connected.

  • This study analyzed the effect of performance connected-type foundations of behavior and the connected beams according to the characteristics into soft clay transmission tower foundation. For this purpose, the finite element analysis model was built and connected to the transmission tower foundation mat and the contact area of the connection beam by the percentage change in the behavior and resistance characteristics were analyzed and finite element verification of the validity of the analytical model was conducted using connected-type transmission tower results of the model experiments constructed, and effective connected-type transmission tower basis of the behavior of connected beams were selected by analyzing the effect due to the increase of the stiffness. In addition, weak analysis by connected beam self-bending moment distribution was conducted.

  • In this paper, we propose a new connected operator Using morphological grayscale reconstruction for region-based coding First, an effective method of reference-image creation lis proposed, which is based on the Size as well as the contrast. This improves the performance of simplification, because It preserves perceptually important components and removes unnecessary components The conventional connected operators are good for removing small regions, but have a serious drawback for low-contrast regions that are larger than the structuring element. That is, when the conventional connected operators are applied to tills region, the simplification becomes less effective or several meaningful regions are merged to one region to avoid this, the conventional geodesic dilation is modified to propose an adaptive operator to reduce the effect of inappropriate propagation, pixels reconstructed to the original values are excluded m the dilation operation Experimental results have shown that the proposed algorithm achieves better performance In terms of the reconstruction of flat zones. The Picture quality has also been improved by about 7dB, compared to the conventional methods.
