이전의 SCORM 1.2 와달리 SCORM(SharableConentObjectRefrulceModel)2004는 기술적인 면에 있어서 방대한 정보들을 다루고 있지만 그 사용자들은 SCORM 2004 conformant를 사용하여 교육용 product를 만들 때 어떤 정보가 중요한지 알 필요가 있다. 그렇기 때문에 ADL Technical Team 에서는 그에 필요한 중요한 정보들을 수집하고 구조화하여 사용자들이 새로운 교육용 product를 만들 때 참고할 수 있도록 만들어 놓았다. 이 논문에서는 새로운 교육용 content가 생성될 때 정의되어야 하는 SCORM conformance requirements 와, 관련된 SCORM conformance test suite 에 대해 알아보고 이의 한계점과 개선점을 찾아 새로운 conformance test suite를 제안한다.

EBKS(Electronic Book of Korea Standard) 1.0 which was established in July 2001 passed the industry standard deliberation of agency for technology and standards of Korea industry in July 2002. EBKS is now established as KS X6100 representing the Korea standard of electronic book of Korea. Therefore, Conformance test and certification procedure is required whether electronic books and documents which follow KS X 6100 are conform to specification of the standard. In the paper, we define conformance clause which is a basis for conformance test and standard electronic book schema. As a result, electronic book writers can produce more conformable documents to the specification and goal of electronic book standard by using the conformance clause, and service provider can effectively perform the conformance test by using standard electronic book schema.

This research has designed and implemented the standard conformance test system for e-Business solutions that supports the ebXML, which is currently being focused on as the leading electronic commerce framework. The adoption of standards such as ebXML is probably the best way to achieve interoperability among electronic commerce systems, and more and more e-Business solutions around the world are supporting ebXML. This research primarily discusses the concept and needs for the standard conformance tests on e-Business solutions. The standard conformance test system is developed based on the detailed specifications of the ebXML framework. This system was used to test commercial e-Business solutions supporting ebXML. The system implemented in this research will provide a significant basis for the standard conformance certification of e-Business solutions, and could also provide clear decision criteria for e-Business solutions currently in market, thus activate the overall e-Business market.

Ship STEP is the international standard for the exchange of ship modeling data between heterogeneous systems. It is expected that STEP AP218 can be used for seamless data exchange between various CAD/CAM/CAE systems used in the shipbuilding design process. Although the conformance assessment for standards would maximize the performance and confidence about data exchanges, most research has been directed toward interoperability testing. ISO SC4/TC184 only provides the method for conformance testing, and it can be used with test cases on application protocols. Even though standards have been defined for conformance assessment and testing, there is no organization or association. CAD vendors have focused on interoperability testing for evaluation of the performance of their systems. In this paper, the conformance testing criteria for AP218 have been developed with abstract test cases of ship structures. The requested STEP translator was also reviewed with a developed item pool of testing criteria. The criteria methodology would be a guideline for the development of translators and interfaces. The item pool method of testing criteria for conformance assessment would increase performance and efficiency of data translators for Ship STEP and other standards.

KEPRI has carried out IEC61850 communication conformance test about the IED trial products. This paper describes dataset conformance testing, one of the IEC 61850-10 conformance test items, and test procedures on IED. KEPRI plans to construct the testing field of IEC 61850 based substation automation system with domestic IEDs confirmed their IEC 61850 communication service including dataset.

Biometrics is one of promising future technologies within personal identification area, and its application stretches to other variety industry site. Therefore it is necessary to test whether these products are implemented in conformance withe the BioAPI international standard specification. This paper presents the specific construction and application examples of BioAPI v2.0 conformance test suite according to the method described in ISO/IEC 24709. The problems and experience that have been discovered in the construction are described. Three BSP products claiming conformance to BioAPI was tested by proposed the test methodology and tools.

Given a protocol specification, the task of testing whether an implementation conforms to the specification is called conformance testing. In this paper, the design and implementation of the protocol conformance test system using LAN on heterogeneous systems is descreibed. The test sequence used in this test system is generated using an algorithm on the basis of multiple UIO. The usability of this test system as an application was confirmed by performing the conformance test on the CCITT No.7 TCAP(transaction capabilities application part), implemented by ISDN Laboratory, Korea University in 1990.

Interest in conformance and the issues related to conformance and interoperability testing in ebXML products are rapidly gaining momentum among standards developers, implementers, and users. The goal is to obtain implementations of the standard that correctly perform the functionality specified in the standard. Conformance testing helps to achieve correct implementation. In this paper, we design and implement the CPP(Collaboration Protocol Profile)/CPA(Collaboration Protocol Agreement) and registry for ebXML conformance and interoperability testing tools that observe the standard specification in conformity with ebXML Message Service v2.0, ebXML Registry Service v2.0 and ebXML CPP/A v2.0.

Component based development has increasingly become important in the software industry. However, in the current component based development approach with UML, the absence of behavioral description of components brings about a cost problem which causes semantic errors on the testing phase. Accordingly we cannot grasp the usage pattern of component by its provided interfaces which refer to an abstraction of software component. And we cannot guarantee the behavioral conformance of the provided and required interfaces of components. In order to solve these problems, we describe the behaviors of component interfaces by state machine diagram and guarantee their behavior conformance at the modeling phase. We also propose a method to guarantee the behavior conformance of component interfaces with concept of observation equivalence and invocation consistency. And we provide an analyzing tool which checks interface behavior conformance.
