  • Form-work is a must for construction work. In order to secure the best condition of the form surface and to increase the number of times, the form releasing agent is applied during the process of the form-work. The base oil of the form release agent which has been used already uses the oil which directly or indirectly affects the natural environment and the concrete. In this study, the basic study on the form release agent for concrete was carried out only for the effect of adhesion. The adhesive force of the tile is measured by the mortar to determine the change of the releasing agent and the adhesive strength.

  • Both the importance and process of estimating Nuclear-power plant construction time and cost have increased in significance as energy user costs themselves have become more significant. In estimating construction time, few parameters are more significant than work item production rates and factors significantly affecting the rates. A standardized data collection tool was used to acquire a total of 401 data points from a S Nuclear-power plant project, for selected critical works: form-work, rebar-work, and concrete-pouring. With the data, several hypothesized drivers of the man-hour production rates and crew-day production rates were also analyzed. Findings from this study will enable industry professionals to enhance accuracy of time and cost estimation for nuclear power plant construction.

  • Pullout test known as Lok test among the test methods to evaluate concrete strength strength is a test method which is used to decide the form removal time by assessing the early strength of concrete in a new construction, or to control the quality of newly placed concrete. This method has inconvenience to place inserts on the form work in advance, however, the placing work is quite simple and it has advantage that the strength can be measured at field as long as the inserts are placed. In this study, the first step is to investigate the properties of test method itself, by performing the laboratory test which covers deviation of the method and factors affecting the results, etc. The second step is to correlate the result with cylinder strength and other NDT methods such as rebound hammer, ultrasonic method, etc. And that, the results are compared with foreign results to find the differences between the two. In this research, new factors such as moisture content, area of aggregate failure cross section and area of aggregate separation cross section, etc as well as wate-cement ratio and age are investigated.

  • The finishing method of concrete floor using automatic surface finisher is one of new technologies in concrete floor construction. The development of high technologies in construction will increase in order to satisfy the demand to construct high quality building. Using this method, it is possible to increase the quality of building as well as to reduce the labor work in site. In this paper, a system which can be used to finish the concrete floor using automatic surface finisher, is presented and its structural capacities are evaluated. The system is composed of rail which guides the surface vibrator and absorbs the volume change of concrete, and a device supporting the rail. From the experimental work for these devices, it was shown that the support and rail had suitable strength to resist the automatic surface finisher. For design purpose, also, effective span of supports was tabulated.

  • This paper presents an analytical prediction of Nonlinear characteristics of prestressed concrete bridges by strengthened of externally tendon considering the work sequence, using beam-column element based on flexibility method and tendon element. The beam-column element was developed with reinforced concrete material nonlinearities which are based on the smeared crack concept. The fiber hysteresis rule of beam-column element is derived from the uniaxial constitutive relations of concrete and reinforcing steel fibers. The tendon element represent the bonded tendon and unbonded tendon behaviors. Beam-column element and tendon element was be subroutine A computer program, named RCAHEST (Reinforced Concrete Analysis in Higher Evaluation System Technology), for the analysis of RC and PSC structures was used. The proposed numerical method for prestressed concrete structures by strengthened of externally tendon is verified by comparison with reliable experimental results.

  • P.C Bearing Plate method, corresponding to the existing steel plate build-up method, is developed by the very first in domestic and is applied to the foundation in the HYUNDAI building at Kang-Nam. P. C Bearing Plate produced in ourself P.C plant can stand against vertical load of 7,000ton obtaining allowable force of soil. It is possible to minmize cost expediting, do site assembling and omit unnecessary excavation work by plant prefabrication of foundation member. The purpose of this paper is to study the optimum mixing design of Ultra-high strength concrete ($\acute{f}_{C91}$= 950kg/$\textrm{cm}^2$), crack control through measuring the heat of hydration, mock up test for the optimum curing method. As mentioned above, developing the Ultra-high strength Precast Concrete Bearing Plate set up successfully in the site foundation work of the HYUNDAI Building at Kang-Nam.

  • The proportion of maintenance work has been increasing due to the recent aging of the infrastructure, but the standardized construction cost estimation standards are insufficient for this. In particular, reinforced concrete structures are being applied to many structures such as buildings and bridges, and various construction methods for maintenance of reinforced concrete structures are being developed and applied. In this study, we surveyed about the current status of the construction method for the maintenance work of reinforced concrete structures and analyze the factors of the revision of the construction cost estimate standard for the reinforced concrete structure maintenance.

  • Until recently as a method of repairing leaking problem, generally urethane series were used for many structures as subway, box culvert etc. However the lacking of sufficient penetration capacity have made it difficult to repair such structures completely. Now, we could achieve enhanced quality of repairing work by using new material which was compounded of urethane series and cement series properly. This material can penetrate concrete structure efficiently and move interactively with the structure in case of the thermal expansion. Besides of this, we could prevent expecting leakage through several improvements on the aspects of design, materials and site implementation.

  • Radar is becoming a popular tool for condition assessment of concrete structures. The advancement of radar method to concrete structures requires a systematic approach, which incorporates the fundamentals of radar theory and the characteristics of concrete as a material with electromagnetic properties. The research work presented in this paper deals with the establishment of effective measurement area for radar measurements, the determination of concrete thickness using radar, and the calculation of the dielectric constant of concrete from radar measurements. As results, formulas have been suggested to determine optimum measurement area for concrete, using radar and concrete thickness has been successfully identified for specimens used in this work. In the experiments, five concrete specimens which have the dimensions of 900mm (length) $\times$ 600mm (width) with thickness variation from 50mm to 250mm are used.
