Entering into the 21st century, digital culture and the innovation of media technology have drastically changed our understanding of the concept of space. Increased availability of information made possible by technological advancement has, directly or indirectly, contributed to the development of space design, which, in turn, offers a possibility for a new paradigm in space design. Given these fundamental changes, this study seeks to explore how to understand the expansion of the concept of space. In order to answer this question, this study investigates de-materialization tendency in modern architectural design such as transparency, anti-gravity, complexity and simultaneity of space. It examines the interaction-oriented nature of space among human, information and time. Finally, based on concepts such as new hyper-surface, which transcend the limitations of space and time, it explores new emerging trends in space design.

Hotels had main functions of providing lodging and food and beverages in the past but hotels theses days have been changing fast to satisfy changes of social paradigm. Hotels are providing various services and further more they are places to represent certain local culture by various ways including improved entertaintment factors. accommodating combined purpose, enhancing characteristics and unique factors. These new trials can be analyzed as concepts of pursuing variety, sensual expression and pursuing originality. The concept of hotel shows new trend of expressions in design by the changes. These trends of expressions can be characterized with differentiation, sameness, heterogeneity, combination and time frame. In this study, by analyzing cases that these characteristics we applied for expanding the range of understanding toward new application method and expect to be applied to appropriate design concept of hotel culture in the future.

Most important of all was the concept of library life-long education on which the studies were to be based. This concept has been broad, both in its interpretation of what constitutes a "program" and of what life-long education in a library is. No formal definition was adopted, but a common understanding existed that a fundamental purpose of the public library is to provide the means of continuing education, and to encourage the most effective utilization of these means through a program of activities whose effects are continuous and cumulatives. There are educational program, socio-cultural program and recreational program in the life-long education program of the public library. These programs can be planned by which the public library developed its resources and its services. services.

With the advent of the Internet, data centric computing applications, and e-business applications, virtually all network-stored data has become mission critical in nature. This increasing reliance on the access to enterprise data is challenging the limitations of traditional server-storage solutions. As a result, the ongoing need to add more storage, serve more users and back up more data has given rise to the concept of a SAN(Storage Area Network), “a network whose primary purpose is the transfer of data between computer systems and storage elements and among storage elements.” The purpose of this article is to help the managers and researchers make the understanding of a SAN as the possibility of new data repository in e-business era. This paper provides a thorough literature review on this new concept including its structure, its benefits and disadvantages, and its underlying issues.

Librarians, who work for University libraries in Korea experience a lot of confusion and difficulties because of rapidly-changing technological conditions and under-developed understanding of the University Libraries' full potential on the part of the users. I present the concept of 'Subject Services' as an approach which librarians could use to overcome these difficulties in their own way. The 'Subject Services' refers to the 'subjectized' collection development and reference services, which can more specifically address the users' needs. To make this idea more concrete, I selected Pusan National University Library as the case of my qualitative research. And I made use of various research techniques such as 'participant observation' and 'ethnographic interview'. After looking into the case library in depth, I found that the concept of 'Subject Specialist'. a person who has double master's degrees including that of library and information science, is more suitable to the University Libraries in Korea at the present developmental stage. At the end of this article, propose that the development of Core Collections, the improvement of subject-oriented reference services and the continuing education of librarians should be emphasized.

The fuzzy theory is on the basis of understanding of the subjectivity and the ambiguity. The paradigm of the fuzzy theory is to explore a regularity from the subjectivity and the ambiguity. Nowadays, the fuzziness, the main concept of the fuzzy theory, is widely applied to a lot of fields as the theory which is positively accepted and actively interpreted. In the science, the fuzziness is officially called as multi-valence. On the other side, there exists the other theory called Han-ism which is presumed as a prototype of korean philosophy. The basic concept of the Han-ism - one, many, middle, same, about - includes the fuzziness. The purpose of this study is to unfold the interrelationship between the fuzzy theory and Han-ism, and furthermore, to interpretate the cultural phenomenon and architectural spaces in koreas traditional architecture with a viewpoint, the fuzziness of the Han-ism.

Objectives: This paper aims to give a review on the concept, the type, and the purpose of intersectoral collaboration, to provide a framework of intersectoral collaboration, and to review the effectiveness of intersectoral collaboration. Methods: Peer-reviewed journals were searched in Pubmed using the terms of 'intersectoral collaboration,' 'multi-sector policy,' 'intersectoral partnership,' and 'cross-sector collaboration.' In total, 240 papers were identified. After reviewing the abstracts of these papers, 59 papers were chosen to be reviewed in full-text. Contents were extracted from these papers that were pertinent to the research questions. Results: Intersectoral collaboration has been advocated since Alma Ata Declaration. However, it has been largely ignored in practice. Various factors including context, support, task, team, interactional process, individual, and overarching factors can affect the success and the failure of intersectoral collaboration. Conclusions: Some strategies to facilitate intersectoral collaboration activities and future research agenda were suggested.

A sustainable evaluation and planning method shall have an integrative methodology for analysis of interrelationship among environmental resource uses and natural conditions during the planning process. However, there are few methods for understanding or achieving sustainable planning in residential development projects for most planner/architects. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to investigate theories of the concept of environmental carrying capacity based on the ecological view, to propose a sustainable planning method for evaluation and planning of environmental sustainability in residential development projects, to analyze interrelationship of selected environmental resources to represent an environmental carrying capacity for a residential development project based on the proposed sustainable planning method. Finally, through the case studies of a high-density housing project located near Seoul Metropolitan area, the existing case and a sustainable case were analysed by the proposed method.

Greg Lynn has been watched as a future architect that we have known him as a digital architect. As a result, this study tried to understanding his architectural concept by researching his works. The objects of this study were his thirteen projects selected in his website, have been already built, been constructing, their experimental value have been highly evaluated. In conclusion, first, Greg Lynn understood the architecture is animated. Secondly, he actively uses digital technology that creates unexpected new design for his works. Lastly, he intends the consolidation of a design process and building system as a whole.

A vocabulary for a understanding bridge has a different scope. The main characteristics of the modem footbridge are appropriateness, aesthetics and structural efficiency. Design concepts of footbridge design are investigated. There are functional concepts, aesthetical concepts like geometry, symbolism, lighting, and movement, and technical concepts. Futhermore, adaptation examples of these structural concepts for pedestrian bridges are presented.
