  • Let X be a topological space. We consider a groupoid G over X and the quotient groupoid G/N for any normal subgroupoid N of G. The concept of groupoid (topological groupoid) is a natural generalization of the group(topological group). An useful example of a groupoid over X is the foundamental groupoid .pi.X whose object group at x.mem.X is the fundamental group .pi.(X, x). It is known [5] that if X is locally simply connected, then the topology of X determines a topology on .pi.X so that is becomes a topological groupoid over X, and a covering space of the product space X*X. In this paper the concept of the locally simple connectivity of a topological space X is applied to the groupoid G over X. That concept is defined as a term '1-connected local subgroupoid' of G. Using this concept we topologize the groupoid G so that it becomes a topological groupoid over X. With this topology the connected groupoid G is a covering space of the product space X*X. Further-more, if ob(.overbar.G)=.overbar.X is a covering space of X, then the groupoid .overbar.G is also a covering space of the groupoid G. Since the fundamental groupoid .pi.X of X satisfying a certain condition has an 1-connected local subgroupoid, .pi.X can always be topologized. In this case the topology on .pi.X is the same as that of [5]. In section 4 the results on the groupoid G are generalized to the quotient groupoid G/N. For any topological groupoid G over X and normal subgroupoid N of G, the abstract quotient groupoid G/N can be given the identification topology, but with this topology G/N need not be a topological groupoid over X [4]. However the induced topology (H) on G makes G/N (with the identification topology) a topological groupoid over X. A final section is related to the covering morphism. Let G$_{1}$ and G$_{2}$ be groupoids over the sets X$_{1}$ and X$_{2}$, respectively, and .phi.:G$_{1}$.rarw.G$_{2}$ be a covering spimorphism. If X$_{2}$ is a topological space and G$_{2}$ has an 1-connected local subgroupoid, then we can topologize X$_{1}$ so that ob(.phi.):X$_{1}$.rarw.X$_{2}$ is a covering map and .phi.: G$_{1}$.rarw.G$_{2}$ is a topological covering morphism.

  • According to the complexity and the pluralism of the modern cities, they are changing themselves into the multinoded and social - classless urban environments. The sudden drift of population to the cities is giving rise to the serious environmental problems, and the rapid increase of recreational needs among the citizen is changing the urban society into a leisure - oriented one. In order to coping with the abrupt change in the social and natural urban environments, the various fields of urban society should be co - ordinated. The study uses the green - city concept to get solves the incongruity of urban structure in Chonju City. The existing open space maps were drawn up by the various techniques such as the analysis of the topographic maps and collected data, the interpretation of the aero-photographs and the reconnaissance of site. The authors suggested the existing condition, and the problems and potentials of open space elements in Chonju City through the analysis of the existing condition maps. After synthesizing the contents of analysis, the 7u(hors established an exclusive open space system for Chonju City.

  • This study starts from the question about the possibility of landscape, especially the possibility to give a new vision in the aspect of publicity. Such a concept of landscape architecture made its appearance in the last decade of the 20th century, as the flexible network to include the changes and the specificity of the surroundings, which simultaneously focuses on the temporality-the uncertainty. Moreover landscape architecture can be defined as the architecture in which the interest on human activities lie in the center of the concept. By analyzing concrete examples, the landscape architecture can be defined in 3 aspects : unity of building and nature, void and public space, space of expansion. As a result of the analysis of landscape architects' statements, it can be said that the issues of publicity are always put at the starting point of landscape architecture with its attention to the way to associate an individual with the others.

  • One of the characteristics of contemporary interior design is the prominence of material and its challenge to the established concept of interior design. As material has risen to the new element of design, losing its old concept as something secondary surrounding space, it had become an useful instrument to create unique images as well as to express the paradigm of space that modern society demands. The active role of material has made itself one of the primary elements that make a difference in design. Particularly in commercial spaces where sales are important and attractive spaces are needed, material has been emergent conveying its appling to consumers. Therefore, this study analyses the materiality that material has and its characteristics represented as images in commercial spaces. With the analysis, it researches further into the unlimited possibility of material and show the way for modern interior design to head for.

  • Most of the previous game development has proceeded in the approaches of the temporal-oriented synchronization because of producing game objects by using general authoring tools, and ad hoc or trial and error methods has been devised for representation of spatial concept. This paper is a study on the unification notation for spatio-temporal synchronization to conquest this fault. First of all, we classify game space as temporal object, spatial object, absolute/relative spatio-temporal space. The spatio-temporal relationships are divided into temporal extent, temporal location, spatial extent, and spatial location. In the paper the temporal and spatial relationships of game scene are defined to represent the synchronization, and we propose new unification notation by temporal and spatial concept to represent two concepts putting emphasis on space. Their relationships are presented on 3D by creating time axis related with time in scene unit of the two dimensional plane in the pivot on space. The usability of this representation method are shown by applying examples of game scenario.

  • Recently, the Korean medical system changed with diversification & specialization and the field of medical service is also specialized in these days. The medical space settings are usually designed for staff needs rather than for patient needs. but The purpose of this project was to identify the design elements for the patient-focused. Main keyword of this project is 'high touch' and basic design concept is 'a sense of stability/velocity'. This medical space is located in Sanbon, and it has an area of 171m$^2$. The material scheme in the interior design of medical space is an important factor for the hospital users. Painting, stainless steel, wood veneer, fabric and p-tile were used as interior finishing material.

  • In smart era, concept of User experience has been an important issue both in academic and practical areas in recent years. Interactive space became one of the major design paradigms. For elevating the interactive effect, we need user?centered design methodology which uses the influential factors on the interactivity. As, well developed information technology made a lot of changes to various fields of our society, interactive space with the concept of HCI became a big issue in environmental design field. In this interactive space, various types of informative factors of the given space are sent using sensor and computer networking technology to the main system. So, a user's movement in the space in more than just a movement itself-user's movement now forms a important spatial structure that leads the narrative of the space. in this research, I will come up with the problems that the interactive space has right now, and analyze what the public space must have, and combine them with interactive space by HCI theory. architecture space is not the old space adapting digital technology. In order to take the role as new space paradigm. environment and technology, it has to develop technology continuously and experimental space at the same time. It must have co-evolution of architecture space field and others through organic network. by that, the evolution of space will be in the way that combines space which is responded to human emotion and user centric human friendly.

  • In contemporary urban space, the identify is absent because of the object-oriented plans that ignore the context of urban space, and the ignorance of the regional characteristics and the historicity of places. Due to this reason, urban space lost its unique characteristics and becomes a mismatch with its surroundings. To solve these problems, the ideological trend of post-modernism emerged and new spatial paradigm rose based on the contextual concept to go with this trend. This contextual concept should be considered more importantly in the public space with discontinuous many and unspecified behavioral patterns. The components of space do not exist independently with individual identity. They should be considered based on a holistic view formed by the relations among elements and the establishment of those relations, and through this, correct identity can be established. Thus, this paper aims to analyze the context of spatial components through new contextual views on public spaces and study the expressional characteristics unveiled between these relations.
