  • This study was carried out qualitative study to figure out the process of the perception of creativity conception by kindergarten teachers in Korea. The interviewees are 4 current teachers in kindergarten in Seoul. Data was collected from semi-structured in-depth interview. Collected data were analyzed using Modified Grounded Theory Approach by Kinoshita, a kind of qualitative research method. As a result of data analysis, kindergarten teachers who experts in child education understood key concepts of creativity as unique thinking and rich expression ability. Such concept is mainly acquired at the class in which direct encounter with children is made. Besides, they formed the concept of creativity through reading books and articles, graduate studies and teaching Nuri Curriculum. In the preceding studies on the concept of creativity targeted to elementary and secondary school teachers, they had shared wide concept, but kindergarten teachers shared only some key concepts on creativity. This result would mean that the concept of creativity in the early children education is relatively coherent and such concept and teaching method are relatively well delivered to children at the education field.

  • The purpose of this article is to introduce a useful methodology of effective goal-setting for the team-level units. As a way to overcome some common symptoms in terms of Strategic Performance Evaluation System such as lack of knowledge on goal-setting, disconnection of process, problem of judging the degree of difficulty about objectives, limits of staff departments evaluation, fairness and authority of evaluators, weakness in coaching technique, and quantity or figure-oriented evaluation, to name a few, and to seek a more plausible goal-setting methodology, the author suggests a persuasive goal-setting concept: VAR(Value-Added Results). VAR, as the end-results, is the team contributions that add value to the organization, and it results from the team's activities. In addition to these goal-setting technique based on the concept of value-added results, several aspects should be improved for Strategic Performance Evaluation System to be implemented more effectively. They are: 1) shift from MBO to MP & D(Managing Performance & Development), 2) impartial exercise of evaluation authority as a organizational public assets, 3) reinforcement of maternal leadership and servantship instead of paternal leadership, 4) utilization of IT-based evaluation system.

  • The Sambyeongudo(三變九圖) which was deducted from Cheonbu-Kyeong(天符經) is the figure about the principle of the Book of Changes in the mutual organic way, and the Five elements means the principle of Generation and the Sasang means the principle of Change, so Kugung of the concept of composing Five elements and Sasang means the principle of Generativechange, Sasangjeok-Ohaengkoan(四象的五行觀). As it is substituted to the human body, Five elements can be compared to the meridian system, Sasang can be compared to Eight extra meridians, and Kugung can be compared to Five su point Sasangjeok-Ohaengkoan. In addition, if Simpo and Samcho are compared to Cheon Ji In Samjae(天地人三才) of Trigrams, then 13 cure points can be deducted. If 13 cure points are substituted to Chilyojeongsa(七曜政事) and Moderation as another concept of Kugung, then all diseases can be cured regardless of the physical constitution and name of a disease.

  • Mannheim introduced the concept of a pair of curves, called as Mannheim partner curves, in 1878. Until now, Mannheim partner curves have been studied widely in the literature. In this study, we take into account of this concept according to Positional Adapted Frame (PAF) for the particles moving in the 3-dimensional Euclidean space. We introduce a new type special trajectory pairs which are called Mannheim partner P-trajectories in the Euclidean 3-space. The relationships between the PAF elements of this pair are investigated. Also, the relations between the Serret-Frenet basis vectors of Mannheim partner P-trajectories are given. Afterwards, we obtain the necessary conditions for one of these trajectories to be an osculating curve and for other to be a rectifying curve. Moreover, we provide an example including an illustrative figure.

  • In modem days when architectural materials have grave impacts on overall design expression, materials for architecture, especially finishing materials have become the most essential elements for the design expression, as architectural space and form have been. This study closely verifies the concept of tensity analyzed in preceding studies by quantifying it through experimentation and questionnaire, and suggests possible alternatives which verified concept of tensity applies into the architectural design. It was examined how architects consider the finishing materials through a questionnaire. With a questionnaire, the possibility of quantificative analysis for tensity is evaluated by SPSS program. Moreover, a questionnaire about the social image that the architectural finishing materials have was also conducted. This questionnaire results In the actual methods to apply quantificated psychological tensity and social images into the architectural design and recommends better plan to select finishing materials for each spacial function and usage, Due to the great influence of social images in design expression, the application mechanism of the tensity should follow the general and individual principles together. With the tensity figure and application of social images we can find more resonable method for material selection.

  • A prerequisite for a wide market acceptance of 3D displays is the ability to switch between 3D and full resolution 2D. In this paper we present a robust and cost effective concept for an auto-stereoscopic switchable 2D/3D display. The display is based on an LCD panel, equipped with switchable LC-filled lenticular lenses. A demonstrator of this concept is made. We will discuss measurements and numerical simulations of the key optical characteristics of this display. The switching characteristics of LC-filled lenticular lenses are discussed and the overlap of the view distributions is introduced as a figure of merit for crosstalk. The 0.62 overlap in our present demonstrator design, gives an excellent 3D image quality, combined with a good depth impression.

  • "I only went out for a walk, and finally concluded to stay out till sundown, for going out, I found, was really going in." (John Muir, 1938) Building interior and urban interior is understood as a single concept of interior: "the outside is always an inside" (Le Corbusier, 1929). Both are thus related to each other, and under the same system of meaning. Architecture comes from the making of an interior. A city comes out of the making of another interior felt as an undeniable inner demand; a street is "a community room by agreement" (Kahn, 1971) and a square is an open aesthetic room by agreement of community. Urban interior that contains our public life-world is an extension of the concept of interior that building interior contains our private/semipublic life-world. This paper explores the idea of interior and urban interior through literature research. The first site the paper traces is the physical interior, space, and place to figure out their meanings. The second site this paper illustrates is the transposition of the physical interior and the psychic interior, which influences the physical space where we create our own life-world. The last site the paper clarifies is the development of the idea of urban interior and the contextual rationale of urban interior. This ramble from building interior to urban interior discloses a twofold singular interior of both the building and urban interior that explains the meanings of interior, the scopes of interior, and the objects of interior to design and create interior.

  • This study aims to figure out any possible expanded expression methods and diverse formative effects in fashion design by recognizing the importance of objects that suggest new paradigms as a means of expressing aesthetic consciousness in contemporary fashion and analogizing the formative characteristics of objects used in fashion and their significance. Accordingly, the study focuses on analyzing and interpreting objects introduced to fashion design with a formative view by substituting the concept of an object that has taken an important position in the contemporary arts for fashion. This study further aims to examine the concept of objects by trend and their characteristics within a syntactical structure and come up with a standard for classification of objects and a framework of analysis from cubism in the early 20th century when the concept of an object began to appear in arts to Dadaism, Surrealism, Pop art, Land art, Environmental art and the present time. Finally, the study aims to examine the status of objects in fashion and the relationships between fashion and objects through analyses on fashion objects and to suggest new perspectives and approaches to interpret the contemporary fashion in the 21st century.

  • Nowadays when the social and cultural paradigm is changing, the incomplete space is becoming a matter of controversy. In order to figure out the solutions to it, are being held a variety of spatial discourses for spatial essence and meaning to be cleared. Accordingly, this study has tried to seek for any probability to interpret the ontology shown at any traditional space on the ground of Heidegger's Ontological Thinking Structure which has a considerable impact on Modern Space, whose conclusions are the followings. First, Heidegger's ontological space theory, which provided a foundation of Placeness concept, includes not only the character of interdisciplinary learning among philosophy, arts and any related studies but also that of mutual oriental and occidental cultures. Second, between the thoughts of Heidegger and Lao-tzu are considerable similarities from the methodical viewpoint that materializes the meaning of existence as an essence. Third, for a convenient interpretation, the ontological spatial concept of Lao-tzu's philosophy shown at traditional spaces have been categorized into Typology-Incident, Morphology-situation and Topology-meaning generation with Schultz's Existential Spatial Concept based on Heidegger's Ontology as a medium. In particular, the meaning generation which materializes the placeness has the trait of being clarified as the product of interactions between incidents and situations.

  • The purpose of the study is to identify the effect of length and right angle indication on the understanding of the concept of the figure when presenting the task of classifying the plane figures. we recorded thirty three 4th grade students' performance with eye-tracking technologies and analyzed the correct answer rate and gaze duration. The findings from the study were as follows. First, correctness rate increased and Gaze duration decreased by marking length in isosceles triangle and equilateral triangle. Second, correctness rate increased and Gaze duration decreased by marking right angle in acute angle triangle and obtuse triangle. Based on these results, it is necessary to focus on measuring the understanding of the concept of the figure rather than measuring the students' ability to measure by expressing the length and angle when presenting the task of classifying the plane figures.
