  • 본 논문에서는 사이버 교육의 시스템적 본질을 이해할 수 있도록 사이버교육시스템의 구축 현황을 살펴보고, 실제 JAVA환경(서블릿)에서 평가지원기능을 제공하는 Web Lecture Authoring Architecture를 설계 하였다. 사이버교육 시스템이 제공하는 기능은 크게 과목관리기능, 문제관리기능. 시험관리기능, 성적평가관리기능, 학생관리기능으로 분류할 수 있으며 기존의 사이버 교육 시스템 구축사례에 미흡한 문제은행기능 및 가상시험 기능을 포함하고 있다. Web Lecture Authoring Architecture는 웹을 기반으로 구축하였으며 C/S 환경에서 구축된 시스템과는 달리 Client에 별도의 시스템을 설치할 필요 없이 웹 브라우저만으로 인터넷에서 사이버교육을 제공할 수 있도록 설계하였다는데 의의를 가지고 있다.

  • Application specific instruction-set processor (ASIP) is a suitable design choice for system designers who seek both flexibility to handle various applications in the domain together with the performance. Successful development of an ASIP, however, requires a software development kit (SDK) to be provided along with the processor. Synopsys Processor Designer is an ASIP development tool, which takes as input a set of files written in a high-level architecture description language called LISA (Language for Instruction Set Architecture), and generates SDK as well as RTL. Recently, they have added support for the generation of LLVM compiler backend, though some manual work is required. In this paper, we introduce some details in porting LLVM compiler to a custom processor architecture in Synopsys Processor Designer.

  • Various kind of ubiquitous healthcare services have been developed and tried in patient care and health care fields. Due to technical restrictions and not enough application practices, the service systems have been developed somewhat in ad hoc way. This paper describes the requirements for ubiquitous healthcare service systems most of which need to have and presents a ubiquitous healthcare service system architecture with which various ubiquitous healthcare services can be developed. It also introduces an application system for ubiquitous benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) patient care which has been developed based on the architecture.

  • 소프트웨어 아키텍처는 소프트웨어 집중적인 시스템의 가장 주요한 부분으로, 아키텍처 평가는 시스템에서 매우 중요한 과정이고 소프트웨어 재앙을 예방할 수 있는 가장 저렴한 방법이다. 본 논문은 성숙모델을 통하여 아키텍처를 평가하는 새로운 방법을 소개한다. 기존의 성숙모델들은 소프트웨어나 소프트웨어 프로세스에 관한 것으로 지금까지 빠른 속도로 발전되어 왔다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 기법들을 소프트웨어 아키텍처에 적용한 SAMM(Software Architecture Maturity appraisal Model)을 제안한다. SAMM은 여섯 등급으로 구성되어 있다 제안한 성숙 모델 SAMM은 시스템 개선을 관리하는 발전된 아키텍처를 구성하고 소프트웨어 아키텍처 설계를 개선하기 위해 필수적으로 요구되는 아키텍처 요구사항들을 명세한다. 또한, 아키텍처 설계를 위한 노력을 줄이고, 질 높은 아키텍처를 구성할 수 있는 지침을 마련해주며, 아키텍처를 평가하여 등급을 매긴다.

A New Hybrid Architecture for Cooperative Web Caching

  • An effective solution to the problems caused by the explosive growth of World Wide Web is a web caching that employing an additional server, called proxy cache, between the clients and main server for caching the popular web objects near the clients. However, a single proxy cache can easily become the bottleneck. Deploying groups of cooperative caches provides scalability and robustness by eliminating the limitations caused by a single proxy cache. Two common architectures to implement the cooperative caching are hierarchical and distributed caching systems. Unfortunately, both architectures suffer from performance limitations. We propose an efficient hybrid caching architecture eliminating these limitations by using both the hierarchical and same level caches. Our performance evaluation with our investigated simulator shows that the proposed architecture offers the best of both existing architectures in terms of cache hit rate, the number of query messages from clients, and response time.

  • 본 논문에서는 실시간으로 컴퓨터 생성 홀로그램을 생성할 수 있는 VLSI 구조를 제안하고 하드웨어로 구현하였다. 고속으로 디지털 홀로그램을 생성할 수 있는 수정된 알고리즘을 도입하고, 하드웨어 구현을 위해 재해석하였다. 수치 및 시각적인 정밀도 분석으로부터 하드웨어 내부의 비트 너비를 구하였다. CGH 알고리즘의 분석과 정밀도 분석 결과부터 CGH 셀의 구조를 제안하였다. CGH 셀의 구조와 알고리즘의 특성으로부터 동작 순서를 분석하였고, 파이프라인 구조와 동작적인 타이밍을 제안하였다.

  • In this paper, we propose a method, an optimized architecture of a device with an image signal process of a field unit to minimize the flick phenomenon that happens in direction of a color temperature at a color tone change. The proposed IIR loop filter has an optimized architecture and reduced hardware compared with previous filters. In order to achieve the optimization for the hardware complexity. It is designed by time-multiplexing architecture. The proposed IIR loop filter is synthesized by using the STD90 0.35um cell library.

Computer Vision-based Structural Health Monitoring: A Review

  • Structural health monitoring is a technology or research field that extends the service life of structures and contributes to the prevention of disaster accidents by continuously evaluating the safety, stability, and serviceability of structures as well as allowing timely and proper maintenance. However, the contact-type sensors used for it require considerable time, cost, and labor for installation and maintenance. As an alternative, computer vision has attracted attention recently. Computer vision has the potential to make quality, deformation, and damage monitoring for structures contactless and automated. In this study, research cases in which computer vision was utilized for structural health monitoring are introduced, and its effects and limitations are summarized. Therefore, the applicability and future research directions of computer vision-based structural health monitoring are discussed.

  • The advance of computer, network, and Internet technology enables the control systems to process the massive data in the distributed computing environments. To implement and maintain the software in distributed environment, the component-based methodology is widely used. This paper proposes the middleware architecture for the distributed computer control system. With the proposed middleware services, it is relatively easy to maintain compatibility between products and to implement a portable control application. To achieve the compatibility between heterogeneous systems, the proposed architecture provides the communication protocols based on the XML with lightweight event-based service.
