  • This paper presents a study on a 2.4GHz differential cascode power amplifier(PA) fabricated using a 130nm CMOS process. This PA is designed for wireless power transmission applications and consists of two differential stages with custom-designed balun transformers for single-ended output. Balun transformers are utilized not only for the output stage but also for power match-ing between each stage. Additionally, a bias circuit with temperature compensation capability is added to maintain stable bias voltage in the 2.4GHz frequency band. As a result, it achieves an output power of 21.75 dBm with a power-added efficiency(PAE) of 40.9% at TT/40℃.

  • In this paper, we designed a emergency medical image communication system EMICS added concept of emergency medical image to the existing emergency medical information system based on DICOM. Also we suggested a emergency medical image object EMISPS of EMICS. Using EMICS, the emergency medical technician can work together with emergency doctor. Therefore the patient can take more stable care than existing emergency medical information system. Using EMISPS, the emergency medical technician can get exact situation information of the patient.

  • The purpose of this study was to research the efficient tool of the exclusive fabric simulation in Jacquard Textile CAD system. For performing this design study, it designed the surface design of the abstract images of flowers through EAT Designscope CAD system and simulated the interior fabric. To merchandise the fashion items and see the visual image, these fabric simulations was effected by two or three-dimension modeling through EAT designscope, YongWoo CNI, Alias and so on. The result of this study can be summarized as follows. Before the step of weaving the samples from the surface design works, jacquard fabric design can be done very efficiently to apply the design step of the fabric simulation in CAD(Computer Aided Design). As the usage of the simulation tool in CAD system, jacquard design can be easily feed-back to modify for the right fabrics and produced the various designs in the short running time very efficiently. Therefore, this jacquard design system ultimately can be saved cost and developed the higher value-added goods in more response to consumer demands.

  • In order to use component for various domain, it need to add tangling code. Component reuse suffers from it. AOP was resolved this problem. We present in this paper a component model, called fractal, that added aspect interface using mixin class named joinController interface. Mixin class are used to combine controller object and interceptor object. we design the dynamic weaver that use the decorator pattern, for increase the reuse of aspect.

  • This study presents a new fashion wearable product, a classical music stage costume design, using an Arduino LilyPad that can control light-emitting diodes(LEDs) and a sound sensor that can set an environmental range of LED light. As a theoretical background, LED fashion design research and stage costume design research status were reviewed, and Arduino LilyPads, sensors, LEDs, and batteries required for LED stage costume production were investigated. Based on prior research, the LED stage costume design for the soprano stage was presented in a three-step process of design planning, development, and production, and an actual prototype was produced. This process produced meaningful information and materials for making clothes with the added function of a wearable computer. In particular, fashion designers or fashion majors can easily access the Arduino LillyPad and use not only LEDs, but other light emitting materials. It is expected that it will be used as a basic material for the use of the Arduino LillyPad that can develop new creations that have been utilized.

  • The Ministry of National Defense announced 'Defense Reform 2.0' that aims to strengthen the country's security for decrease of regional uncertainties, growing requirements for advanced technologies, and a need for more efficiency in the Republic of Korea(RoK) Armed Forces this year. It said RoK Armed Forces have to change efficiently in preparation for rapid decline in military service resources as demographic cliff turning into reality, and the rapid evolution of the "battlefield environment" caused by developments in military science and technologies. RoK Navy combat Management System(CMS) made by domestic proprietary technology since 2000s and development centered on Agency for Defense Development require design changes for added requirements. So in this paper, I propose method of design a low cost and high efficiency navy CMS architecture based on high performance server and virtualization technology. And I create a test environment for analysis performance and compare the performance of proposed navy CMS and existing navy CMS.

Study on Computer Knitting for Patterns on Porcelain of Underglaze Iron (컴퓨터 편기를 사용한 철화자기 문양의 편성에 관한 연구)

  • Because of comfortable texture and easy treatment, more and more knit products has been required for leisure such as sports, traveling, hobbies, and various social activities. Therefore, the demand of knit is gradually increasing in the clothing industry. There are, however, several issues, which require solutions, and we must develop higher value-added products, which differentiate from those of developing countries allowing us to compete and win in the world market. The patterns on porcelain of underglaze iron, which had been popular from late-l5th century to mid-16th century, are diverse, unique, and traditional--so valuable patterns of our own. The computer hitting machine enables the designer to conceive new designs and produce samples of fabrics within a few minutes, which allows us to save time for mass production. Therefore, it is an essential tool for the knitting industry. After collecting, analyzing, and choosing various patterns on porcelains of underglaze iron, This study reflects the actual experience of hitting the fabrics with the patterns through the computer knitting machine which is also used to produce patterns after designing the new patterns through Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, which has several merits. This article compares and analyzes them for production, which uses the patterns that has been designed from the patterns on porcelains of underglaze iron.

  • Recently, DDSs(Distributed Database Systems) have been implemented on V AN(V alue Added Network) as we know the amazing expansion of information network. DDS can yield significant cost and response time advantages over centralized systems for geographically distributed organizations. However, inappropriate design can result in high cost and poor response time to maintain the database at each site. In a DDS design, the main problem is how to select proper computer and how to allocate data fragment into a proper site. In this paper, we address DDS design problem of selecting the proper class of computers and the allocating data files on VAN. Also, the formulated model includes two objectives, the waited response time and the investment cost to include their relationship. Specially, the formulation of waited response time is based on M/M/1 queueing system to evaluate more precisely. GA(Genetic Algorithm), a kind of heuristic search method, is developed to search an optimal solution in the proposed design model and we show the simulation result to examine the algorithm performance.

  • The reality is that existing games are commercial or violent rather than informative. So, such a phenomenon resulted in many social problems. To solve such problems, I designed and implemented a game which is not violent but educative and child-friendly. In this thesis, an educative game is defined and its characteristics are described. I designed the user interface of the game for children, proposed relevant algorithms, and showed resultant screens of the game. Also, I compared the game with the existing games in order to prove that my game is non-violent, non-commercial, and rather educative. This ladder rejection game is different from the existing game in terms of design, functions, and contents of the screen. This paper contains specific explanations about the supplemented ladder rejection game. First, the design of this ladder rejection game extended fundamental principles of the existing game and added new diverse functions.

Consideration of the Lifting Lug Structure using the Hybrid Structural Design System (하이브리드 구조설계 시스템을 이용한 선박블록 탑재용 러그구조 고찰)

  • In the view of the importance of material reduction due to the jump in oil and steel prices, an optimized structural system for lifting lugs was developed. Such a system is needed hundreds of thousands of times a year. A direct design process was added to this developed optimized system to increase the design efficiency and provide a way of directly inserting a designer's decisions into the design system process. In order to verify the system efficiency and convenience, several new prototype lug shapes were suggested using the developed system. From these research results, it was found that the slope of the main plate of the lug structure has a tendency to move from about 45 degrees to about 60 degrees and the design weight was reduced from an initial value of about 32kgf to about $15{\sim}19kg_f$ after the redesign. Based on these initial research results, an efficient reduction in steel weight was expected considering the enormous consumption of lug structures per year. Additionally, a more detail structural analysis through local strength evaluations will be performed to verify the efficiency of the optimum structural design for a lug structure.
