상아질 접착제의 전단결합강도 및 주사전자현미경적 연구 (A STUDY ON THE SHEAR BOND STRENGTH AND SCANNING ELECTRON MICROSCOPIC INVESTIGATION OF DENTIN BONDING AGENTS)

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate the shear bond strength and observe the fractured and interfacial surfaces of various dentin bonding agents used conjunction with a visible light cured composite. The senentytwo human premolars and molars extracted due to periodontal or orthodontic reasons were used and randomely divided into six groups. All the prepared dentin surfaces were treated with Superbond D-liner, Scotchbond Multi-Purpose, All-Bond 2 and Prisma Universal Bond 3 accroding to the manufacturer's instructions. Six specimens were then demineralized in 10 % HCl for 24 hours and the other six specimens were not demineralized in order to observe the interfacial surfaces with Hitachi X-450 SEM at 25Kv. Also shear bond strength were obtained using an Instron Testing Machine with a crosshead speed of 1mm/min. The following results were obtained : 1. Although shear bond strength of Superbond D-Liner(17.35 MPa) and Scotch-bond Multi-Purpose group(17.29 MPa) were higher than the All-Bond 2(12.80 MPa) and Prisma Universial Bond 3 (13.43 MPa), there were no significant statistic differences in the shear bond strength between 4 groups.(P<0.05) As a result of etching to dentin in Prism a Universial BOND 3 experimentally, the resin tag was formed, but shear bond strength was decreased. 2. The resin tag into the opened dentinal tubule was formed in Superbond D-Liner, Scotchbond Multi-Purpose, All-Bond 2(etching) and Prisma Universial Bond 3(etching), but not in the All-Bone 2 and Prism a Universial Bond 3(non-etching). 3. Strong, durable bonds between dentin and dentinal bonding agents are essential, not only resin tag into the dentinal tubules, but also hybrid layer.

Demographics of Isolated Galaxies along the Hubble Sequence

  • Isolated galaxies in low-density regions are significant in the sense that they are least affected by the hierarchical pattern of galaxy growth and interactions with perturbers at least for the last few Gyr. To form a comprehensive picture of the star formation history of isolated galaxies, we construct a catalog of isolated galaxies and their comparison sample in relatively denser environments. The galaxies are drawn from SDSS DR7 in the redshift range of 0.025 < z < 0.044. We performed visual inspection and classified their morphology following the Hubble classification scheme. We have investigated the color-magnitude diagram and found elliptical and unbarred spiral galaxies in isolated systems are relatively fainter and bluer than those in denser regions. For the spectroscopic study, we make use of the OSSY catalog (Oh et al. 2011). Our analysis on the absorption-line properties based on the comparison with stellar population models suggests that isolated elliptical galaxies are likely to be younger and metal poorer, while isolated Sc-type galaxies seem to have older luminosity-weighted ages, than their high-density counterpart. In addition, according to the BPT diagnostics, early-type galaxies among isolated galaxies are rather evenly classified into star forming, composite, Seyfert and LINER, whereas their comparisons are mainly populated in the LINER region. On the other hand, late-type galaxies do not show any prominent difference. We discuss the evolutionary histories of isolated galaxies in the context of the standard ${\Lambda}CDM$ cosmology.

개별요소법을 사용한 매립지 사면 차수 시스템의 안정성 평가 (Evaluation of Stability of Lining Systems of Landfill Using Discrete Element Method)

  • 본 논문에서는 매립지의 복합 차수 및 덮개 시스템의 안정성 평가를 위하여 개별요소법이 적용되었다. 이 방법은 차수재들의 접촉면에서 유발되는 전단응력과 차수재에 발생하는 인장력을 예측할 수 있어 각각의 차수재에 대한 전단 및 인장파괴에 대한 안전율을 산정할 수 있다. 해석에서 덮개나 차수재료로 사용된 흙의 경우 절편으로 나눈 다음 각 측면들에 탄소성 Winkler 스프링으로 연결되는 것으로 가정하였으며, 지오맴브레인과 같은 차수재들의 경우 절편으로 나뉘어져 인장스프링으로 연결되었다고 가정하여 거동을 모델링하였다. 제안된 방법을 사용한 사례연구와 함께 예제해석에 대한 한계평형법에 근거한 기존 해석방법들과 비교를 통하여 제안된 방법의 적용성을 검토하였다.

벤토나이트 유실로 인한 협착이 GCL 거동에 미치는 영향 (Thinning Effect Due to Bentonite Migration on Performance of GCL)

  • 근래에 들어, 복합 라이너 시스템에서 점토차수재를 대신하여 GCL(Geosynthetic clay liner)의 사용이 급증하고 있다. 그러나, 과연 GCL의 수리학적 특성이 점토차수재와 대등하게 매립장 설계규준을 만족 시키는가의 여부는 오래동안 논란이 되어왔다. 실내시험 및 현장조사 결과 여러 가지 원인에 의해 GCL에 응력집중이나 비등방 분포 하중이 생길 때 국부적인 벤토나이트 유실로 팽윤된 GCL의 두께가 감소할 수 있음을 보여준다. 이 논문에서는 현장조사를 통하여 실내시험에서 얻어진 벤토나이트 유실을 확인하고 감소된 GCL 두께에 대한 수리학적 특성을 분석했다.

Reversible Watermarking with Adaptive Embedding Threshold Matrix

  • In this paper, a new reversible watermarking algorithm with adaptive embedding threshold matrix is proposed. Firstly, to avoid the overflow and underflow, two flexible thresholds, TL and TR, are applied to preprocess the image histogram with least histogram shift cost. Secondly, for achieving an optimal or near optimal tradeoff between the embedding capacity and imperceptibility, the embedding threshold matrix, composed of the embedding thresholds of all blocks, is determined adaptively by the combination between the composite chaos and the average energy of Integer Wavelet Transform (IWT) block. As a non-liner system with good randomness, the composite chaos is suitable to search the optimal embedding thresholds. Meanwhile, the average energy of IWT block is calculated to adjust the block embedding capacity, and more data are embedded into those IWT blocks with larger average energy. The experimental results demonstrate that compared with the state-of-the-art reversible watermarking schemes, the proposed scheme has better performance for the tradeoff between the embedding capacity and imperceptibility.

블록직선이송 방전연삭에 의한 미세전극 가공 및 그래핀 강화 알루미나 복합소재의 마이크로 홀 가공특성 (Fabrication of Micro-electrodes using Liner Block Moving Electrical Discharge Grinding and Characteristics of Micro-hole Machining of Graphene Nanoplatelet-reinforced Al2O3Composites)

  • Graphene nanoplatelet (GNP)-reinforced alumina ($Al_2O_3$) is a promising material for micro-partapplications, particularly micro-nozzle shapes, because of its excellent wearresistance. In this study, a $Al_2O_3$/GNPcomposite with 15 vol% graphene nanoplatelets (GNP) was highly densified and fabricated via spark plasma sintering for micro-electrical discharge drilling (Micro-ED drilling) and the wear resistance property of the composite is evaluated via the ball-on-disk method. In addition, the diameter and shape of the micro-electrodes machined by wire electrical discharge grinding (WEDG), block electrical discharge grinding (BEDG), and new linear block moving electrical discharge grinding (LBMEDG) methods are systematically compared and analyzed to observe the micro-hole machining in the micro-ED drilling of the $Al_2O_3$/15vol% GNP composite.

  • Ceramic femoral heads in the total hip replacement have been developed to reduce the polyethylene liner wear. Alumina and zirconia (3Y-TZP) are using in clinical application worldwide and there are many good test reports. However, alumina has a risk of catastrophic failure, and zirconia has the low temperature degradation in spite of enhanced fracture toughness. Recently, novel zirconia/alumina composite having low temperature degradation-free character and high fracture tough . was developed and it leads the lower wear 3f polyethylene than alumina and zirconia. In the present study, in order to optimise the microstructure of low temperature degradation (LTD)-free zirconia/alumina composite for the best wear resistance of polyethylene, various compositions of (LTD)-free zirconia/alumina composites were fabricated, and the sliding wear of UHMWPE against these novel composites were examined and compared with that against alumina and zirconia ceramics used for total hip joint heads.

수복방법에 따른 복합레진 및 글라스아이오노머 시멘트의 변연부 미세누출에 관한 연구 (A STUDY ON THE MICROLEAKAGE OF COMPOSITE RESIN AND GLASS IONOMER CEMENT WITH VARYING FILLING METHODS)

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the adaptability to tooth structure of composite resin and glass ionomer cement according to filling methods. In this study. two class V cavities were prepared on the buccal and lingual surface of each tooth of forty extracted human premolars. and they were randomly assigned into 4 groups with 10 teeth. The cavities of each group were filled with the CLEARFIL FII self curing resin(Control Group), Z-100 light curing resin (Group 1). $Vitremer^{TM}$ light curing glass ionomer cement(Group 2) and Z-100 light curing resin over the $Vitremer^{TM}$ liner(Group 3). The specimens underwent temperature changed from $5^{\circ}C$ to $55^{\circ}C$ five hundred times. After thermocycling. specimens were immersed in 2% methylene blue solution and stored in 100% relative humidity at $37^{\circ}C$ for 24 hours. And then. the specimens sectioned buccolingually. Degree of dye penetration at tooth-restoration interfaces were examined by Tool maker's microscope(x 200) and Image analyzer. The results were as follows : 1. On the occlusal margin. among the experimental groups. the group 2 showed the highest dye penetration($2.40{\pm}0.68$) and the group 3 showed the lowest dye penetration($1.15{\pm}0.37$). There was significant difference among the experimental groups(p<0.001). 2. On the gingival margin, among the experimental groups, the group 1 showed the highest dye penetration($3.30{\pm}0.57$) and the group 2 showed the lowest dye penetration($1.65{\pm}0.49$). There was significant difference among the experimental groups(p>0.001). 3. About total degree of dye penetration, the group 1 showed the highest dye penetration($2.25{\pm}1.17$) and the group 3 showed the lowest dye penetration ($1.43{\pm}0.55$). There was significant difference among the experimental groups(p<0.001). 4. The sum of dye penetration at occlusal margin was less than gingival margin. There was significant difference between occlusal margin and gingival margin (p<0.001). The results showed that differences were more pronounced at the gingival margin. Composite restorations inserted over the glass-ionomer liner demonstrated significantly less leakage than single restoration that used composite resin or glass-ionomer cement.

복합재/알루미늄 링 시편의 극저온 특성 평가 (Evaluation of the Cryogenic Characteristics of Composite/Aluminum Ring Specimens)

  • 본 연구에서는 필라멘트 와인딩하여 제작된 복합재/알루미늄 링 시편의 극저온 특성을 고찰하였다. 링 시편은 탄소섬유와 극저온용으로 개발된 Type B 에폭시 수지를 사용하여 제작되었다. 상온으로부터 -150℃까지 링 시편의 열변형률 측정 결과, 극저온 영향에 의해 복합재 내에는 압축 열응력이 발생하였으나 알루미늄 내에는 항복응력의 약 32% 크기의 인장 열응력이 발생하였다. 그리고 이는 극저온에서 알루미늄의 소성하중을 낮추는 결과를 가져왔다. 또한, 실험으로부터 얻어진 극저온 물성을 사용하여 유한요소해석을 수행한 결과, 링 시편 실험을 통해 얻어진 열변형률과 잘 일치함을 보였다. -150℃에서 split disk 치구에 장착된 복합재/알루미늄 링 시편에 6회 하중 사이클을 수행한 후, -150℃에서 인장시험을 수행하였다. 그 결과, 라이너-복합재 탱크 구조물에 대하여 자긴압력 등이 가해질 때, 극저온에서는 자긴압력에 의해 복합재 강도가 상온 보다 더 크게 저하될 수 있음을 보였다.

초고압가스 차량용 연료탱크의 강도안전성에 관한 유한요소해석 (Finite Element Analysis on the Strength Safety of a Fuel Tank for Highly Compressed Gas Vehicle)

  • 본 연구에서는 Al6061-T6 소재의 알루미늄 라이너와 탄소섬유-에폭시 및 유리섬유-에폭시 복합 소재를 적층으로 감아서 제조한 복합소재 연료탱크에 대한 강도안전성을 유한요소법(FEM)으로 해석하였다. 복합소재 연료탱크는 내구성 향상을 위해 자긴공정(autofrettage process)으로 제조한 다음에 압축천연가스를 공급하였다. 자긴공정을 거친 가스탱크의 응력안전에 대한 FEM 해석결과는 미국의 DOT-CFFC와 한국의 KS 설계안전 평가기준과 비교 평가하였다. FEM 계산결과에 의하면, 자긴공정을 거친 연료탱크의 응력강도는 돔 지역에서 약간 불안정한 것으로 나타났고, 몸체의 평행부에서는 비교적 균일한 안정성을 보여주고 있다. 자긴공정을 거친 복합소재 연료탱크의 평행부에서 관찰된 강도안전성 데이터는 평가기준 데이터로 제공된다. 9.2리터의 복합소재 연료탱크의 응력강도 안전성에 대한 계산결과에 따르면, 미국의 DOT-CFFC와 한국의 KS 평가기준치를 모두 만족하는 것으로 나타났기 때문에 안전한 설계라 할 수 있다.
