  • In this study, we develop a four phase model of ERP implementation, which includes Chartering phase, Project phase, Shakedown phase, and Onward and upward phase. We then examine how the completeness of each phase influences the implementation success as well as the completeness of next phase. The results of this study show that project phase and onward and upward phase both have significant impacts on the implementation success. We also find that all relationships between the completeness of previous phase and next phase are significantly positive.

  • For verifying consistency and completeness of some UML diagrams as a representative of a graphical notations for object-oriented designs, I first give an analysis of some UML diagrams and apply some verifying rules to the UML diagrams. In this paper, I design effective verifying system which possesses both diagramming facility and the consistency and completeness checking capability. The verifying system uses a set of frames to represent internal diagramming information.

  • This paper introduces a representation style of variable binding using dependent types when formalizing meta-theoretic properties. The style we present is a variation of the Coquand-McKinna-Pollack's locally-named representation. The main characteristic is the use of dependent families in defining expressions such as terms and formulas. In this manner, we can handle many syntactic elements, among which wellformedness, provability, soundness, and completeness are critical, in a compact manner. Another point of our paper is to investigate the roles of free variables and constants. Our idea is that fresh constants can entirely play the role of free variables in formalizing meta-theories of first-order predicate logic. In order to show the feasibility of our idea, we formalized the soundness and completeness of LJT with respect to Kripke semantics using the proof assistant Coq, where LJT is the intuitionistic first-order predicate calculus. The proof assistant Coq supports all the functionalities we need: intentional type theory, dependent types, inductive families, and simultaneous substitution.

  • This paper verifies the following two: First, I verify the standard completeness proof for the system $ULw_t$ is not correct in the sense that t-weakening uninorms are t-norms, but not weakening-free uninorms. Second, I verify that the proof for $ULw_t$ can be used for the system MTL. That is, I provide a new standard completeness proof for it.

  • In this paper, the author focuses on the teaching-level and learning-level of the completeness axiom and its applications on [0,1] and $\mathbb{R}$, $\mathbb{R}{\times}\mathbb{R}$, $\mathbb{R}{\times}\mathbb{R}{\times}\mathbb{R}$ by (expected) teachers in the school mathematics, which is usually introduced in the class of real analysis of university mathematics. Firstly the author considers the properties of the completeness axiom and its 19 equivalent theorems, next he deals with its importances in the school mathematics and finally he suggests the teaching and learning of the concepts on the completeness axiom and its applications on [0,1] and $\mathbb{R}$, $\mathbb{R}{\times}\mathbb{R}$, $\mathbb{R}{\times}\mathbb{R}{\times}\mathbb{R}$ by (expected) teachers in the school mathematics.

  • Fixed-point conjunctive left-continuous idempotent uninorms have been introduced (see e.g. [2, 3]). This paper studies a system for such uninorms. More exactly, one system obtainable from IUML (Involutive uninorm mingle logic) by dropping involution (INV), called here WUML (Weak Uninorm Mingle Logic), is first introduced. This is the system of fixed-point conjunctive left-continuous idempotent uninorms and their residua with weak negation. Algebraic structures corresponding to the system, i.e., WUML-algebras, are then defined, and algebraic completeness is provided for the system. Standard completeness is further established for WUML and IUML in an analogy to that of WNM (Weak nilpotent minimum logic) and NM (Nilpotent minimum logic) in [4].

  • The understanding demands the different degree of the understanding according to student's learning situation. In this paper, we investigate what is the foundation for the complete understanding for the generalization in the generalization-process and justification of some concepts or some theories, through a case. We discovered that the completeness of the understanding in the generalization-process and justification requires 'the meaningful-mental object' which can give the meaning about the concept or theory to students. Students can do the generalization-process through the construction of 'the meaningful-mental object' and confirm the validity of generalization through 'the meaningful-mental object' which is constructed by them. And we can judge the whether students construct the completeness of the understanding or not, by 'the meaningful-mental object' of the student. Hence 'the meaningful-mental object' are vital condition for the generalization-process and justification.

  • The classical 8-node isoparametric serendipity element uses parametric shape functions for both test and trial functions. Although this element performs well in general, it yields poor results under severe mesh distortions. The distortion sensitivity is caused by the lack of continuity and/or completeness of shape functions used for test and trial functions. A recent element using parametric and metric shape functions for constructing the test and trial functions exhibits distortion immunity. This paper discusses the choice of parametric or metric shape functions as the basis for test and/or trial functions, satisfaction of continuity and completeness requirements, and their connection to distortion sensitivity. Also, the performances of four types of elements, viz., parametric, metric, parametric-metric, and metric-parametric, are compared for distorted meshes, and their merits and demerits are discussed.

  • Objectives : The purpose of this paper is to estimate the completeness of the Korean Medical Insurance Data in childhood asthma. Methods : Capture-recapture method was used to estimate the prevalence of childhood asthma and case ascertainment rate(completeness) of Korean Medical Insurance Data using two source model, 'Korean Medical Insurance Committee Data (KMICD)' and 'Nationwide Study of Asthma and Allergies in Korean Children'. The asthma cases were restricted to those who were born from 1981 to 1989 and were identified by their Resident Register Number. Asthma cases in Korean Medical Insurance Data were defined as cases coded by ICD-9 493 and ICD-10 J45. In 'Nationwide Study of Asthma and Allergies in Korean Children', asthma cases were defined as the children who had been diagnosed asthma and had experienced symptoms of asthma during the past 12 months. The defined cases in two data sources were matched by 13 digits Resident Register Number. The numbers of matched patients in two data sources were 245 of 32,825 eligible total subjects. Chapman and Wittes' nearly unbiased estimation was used for capture-recapture analysis of two data sources. Results : Observed prevalence rate of childhood asthma was 5.3% and estimated prevalence rate by capture-recapture analysis was 11.6%. The highest prevalence rate was observed in 6-7 age group and the older the rate decreased. The completeness (the proportion of cases ascertained by KMICD to the total observed cases by two data sources) was 20.6%, and ranged form 10.8% to 28.8% by area. Conclusions : Invalid diagnosis of cases might overestimate the prevalence of child-hood asthma and might underestimate the completeness of Korean Medical Insurance Committee Data in this study.

  • In this paper, let M = B×f2 F be an Einstein Lorentzian warped product manifold with 2-dimensional base. We study the geodesic completeness of some metric with constant curvature. First of all, we discuss the existence of nonconstant warping functions on M. As the results, we have some metric g admits nonconstant warping functions f. Finally, we consider the geodesic completeness on M.
