  • In this paper, we propose a generalized model of statistical Hopfield neural network applicable to solving the well known NP-Complete problem, TSP. Van Den Bout's method to simplify the energy function through normalization has severe weak points that it does not consider the necessary perturbation effects. In proposed model, the improved energy function is used and 5 kinds of perturbation effects and the ratio between perturbation effects are considered including van Den Bout's 2 kinds and one more kind of Park. Through the simulation of randomly generated distribution of 10-city, it is found that our model shows 90 out of 100 cases reach the optimum and near optimum solution(within 5% error). We show the simulation of the large scale, 30-city and 50-city.

  • A fuzzy modeling method is proposed to build the dynamic model of a walking-beam reheating furnace from the recorded data. In the proposed method, the number of membership function on each variable is increased individually and the modeling accuracy is evaluated iteratively. When the modeling accuracy is satisfied, the membership functions on each variable are fixed and the structure of fuzzy model is determined. Because the training data is limited, in this process, as the number of membership function increase, it is highly possible that some rules are missing, i.e., no data in the training set corresponds to the consequent part of a missing rule. To complete the rulebase, the output of the model constructed at the previous step is used to generate the consequent part of the missing rules. Finally, in the real time application, a rolling update scheme to rulebase is introduced to compensate the change of system dynamics and fine tune the rulebase. The proposed method is verified by the application to the modeling of a reheating furnace.

  • The effect of a potato ethanol extract was investigated on Freund's complete adjuvant (FCA)-induced arthritis. The oral administration of the potato extract, at doses of 100 and 200 mg/kg once a day for 21 days, significantly reduced hindpaw swelling and the production of inflammatory cytokines (TNF-${\alpha}$, IL-$1{\beta}$ and IL-6). Treatment with the potato extract also decreased the plasma levels of creatinine, triglyceride and LDL-cholesterol, and the activities of AST and ALT compared with those of a control group. These results suggest that the potato extract might be beneficial in the treatment of chronic inflammatory disorders.

  • The present study is aimed at developing the optimal instruments for dispelling the uncertainty factors during the formulation of strategies for corporate development. The objective is the creation of a complete model of strategic analysis, which encompasses both the environment (internal and external) and the management rational component. This model -built on the analysis of three corporate cases - is concretized by a simulation for testing the strategy by the means of software which enables the users to cope with a dynamic and complex corporate environment. The research questions regard the development of a complete strategic analysis, which covers the entire decision-making process; the concrete assessment of the business strategy on the basis of quantitative data: the identification and enhancement of the critical variables of business administration, in such a complex and dynamic reality as the corporate environment.

  • In order to completely automatize the moving load analysis for the three-dimensional frame model of the girder bridge, the efficient software technique is presented, which makes use of the signal among processes. If this software technique is used in automation, the separate algorithm is not needed for the transverse loading analysis, and the complete automatic moving load analysis algorithm can be easily developed. The program, which has the complete automatic moving load analysis function, has been developed with using this software technique, and has been verified by comparing the results with the one in the famous design book.

  • A testing machine was devised and constructed for the purpose of measuring the retentive forces of maxillary complete denture bases in subjects. Forth complete denture bases were made for ten subjects with three different denture base materials, following the usual denture construction technique. Retentive forces of the forty dentures were determined at seven locations. The tests on each base were repeated three times at intervals of 5 minutes. Differences in retention values were evaluated statistically. 1) Differences in retention values were found by the differences of the denture base materials, but acrylic resin was similar to chromium cobalt alloy. 2) The chromium cobalt alloy and acrylic resin bases from master models revealed the best retention values, the gold alloy base from master model was the poor second and the acrylic resin base from snap model was the third. 3) The retention values for hook-1 revealed higher than that for hook-2 and the retention values for hook-3 revealed the lowest value.

  • In this paper, a complete solution to fuzzy-model-based digital redesign problem (IDR) for sampled-data nonlinear systems is presented, The term of intelligent digital redesign (IDR) is to design a digital fuzzy controller such that the sampled-data closed-loop fuzzy system is equivalent to the continuous-time closed-loop fuzzy system using the state matching, Its solution is simply obtained by linear transformation, Under the proposed sampled-data controller, the states of the sampled-data and continuous-time fuzzy system are completely matched at every sampling points.

  • The so-called B-method, a simplified surface energy budget, permits calculation of daily actual evapotranspiration (ET) using remotely sensed data, such as NOAA-AVHRR. Even if the use of satellite data allows estimation of the albedo and surface temperature, this model requires meteorological data measured at ground-level to obtain the other inputs. In addition, a difficulty may be occurred by the difference of temporal scales between the net radiation in daily scale and instantaneous measurement at midday of the surface and air temperatures because the data covered whole day are necessary to obtain accumulated daily net radiation. In order to solve these problems, this study attempted a modification of B-method through an extension of hourly ET value calculated using a complete instantaneous inputs. The estimation of the daily apparent ET from newly proposed system showed a root mean square error of 0.26 mm/day as compared the output obtained from the classical model. It is evident that this may offer more rapid estimation and reduced data volume.

  • This study attempted non-face-to-face collaborative product development practice that can respond to the spread of COVID-19 by expanding existing product data management system-based product development practice. For the complete non-face-to-face product development practice, it utilized prototype development using a 3D paper model, an online class management system and social media for classes and meetings. As a result of applying the non-face-to-face method, product developments of 26 practice teams have been completed without any failures. Therefore, through this study, the author can confirm that it is possible to provide the complete non-face-to-face collaborative product development practice based on product data management systems.

  • We describe a hierarchical bayesian model to analyze multinomial nonignorable nonresponse data. Using a Dirichlet and beta prior to model the cell probabilities, We develop a complete hierarchical bayesian analysis for multinomial proportions without making any algebraic approximation. Inference is sampling based and Markove chain Monte Carlo methods are used to perform the computations. We apply our method to the dta on body mass index(BMI) and show the model works reasonably well.
