IMT2000을 위한 혼성마이크로 동력원 개발에 관한 연구 (Study on the development of hybrid power sources for the IMT2000)

  • The study on the hybrid power source for the IMT2000 application has been presented. The hybrid power source is composed of solar cell, super-capacitor and battery. To compensate for the pulse loader of the IMT2000 application, the super-capacitor is connected through the Lithium-ion battery to absorb the pulse current. The solar cell provides the additional current to compensate for the depleted current. The controller design for the hybrid source has been presented and verified through experiment.

  • An accurate digital distance relaying algorithm which is immune to the combined reactance effect of the fault resistance and the load current is proposed. The algorithm can estimate adaptively the impedance to a fault point independent of the fault resistance. To compensate the apparent impedance, this algorithm uses iteratively the angle of an impedance deviation vector improved step by step. The impedance correction algorithm for ground faults uses a current distribution factor to compensate mutual coupling effect.

  • This paper describes how a relatively compensate the error of position by using low cost Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU) has been evaluated and compared with the well established method based on a Kalman Filter(KF). The compensation algorithm by using IMU have been applied to the problem of integrating information from an Inertial Navigation System (INS). The KF is to estimate and compensate the errors of an INS by using the integrated INS velocity and position. We verify the proposed algorithm by simulation results.

두 개의 Quasi Z-소스 AC-AC 컨버터에 의한 6.6[kV]/60[Hz] 배전계통의 동적 전압 보상기(DVR) (Dynamic Voltage Restorer (DVR) for 6.6[kV]/60[Hz] Power Distribution System Using Two Quasi Z-Source AC-AC Converters)

  • This paper proposes a quasi Z-source DVR(Dynamic Voltage Restorer) system with a series connection of the output terminals, to compensate the voltage variations in the 6.6[kV]/60[Hz] power distribution system. The conventional DVR using one quasi Z-source AC-AC converter has the advantage which it can compensate the voltage variations without the need for the additional energy storage device such as a battery, but it is impossible to compensate for the 50[%] under voltage sags. To solve this problem, a DVR system using two quasi Z-source AC-AC converters with the series connection of the output terminals is proposed. By controlling the duty ratio D in the buck-boost mode, the proposed system can control the compensation voltage. For case verification of the proposed system, PSIM simulation is achieved. As a result, in case that the voltage sags-swells occur 10[%], 20[%], 60[%] in power distribution system, and, in case that the 50[%] under voltage sags-swells continuously occur, all case could compensate by the proposed system. Especially, the compensated voltage THD was examined under the condition of the 10[%]~50[%] voltage sags and the 20[${\Omega}$]~100[${\Omega}$] load changes. The compensated voltage THD was worse for the higher load resistances and more severe voltage sags. Finally, In case of the voltage swells compensation, the compensation factor has approached nearly 1 regardless of the load resistance changes, while the compensation factor of voltage sags was related to the load variations.

운전자 특성에 따른 친환경 자동차에 대한 선호도 분석 (Eco-friendly vehicle preferences by consumer characteristics)

  • 친환경 자동차의 보급을 활성화시키기 위해서는 자동차 소비자들을 분석하는 것이 필수적이다. 본 연구는 자동차 소비자들의 특성과 친환경 자동차 선호의 관계를 성별 연령 연료비 중심으로 분석하였다. 설문조사를 이용한 컨조인트법을 이용하여 응답자를 성별 연령 연료비의 기준으로 구분하여 친환경 자동차의 속성이 효용에 미치는 영향을 분석한 결과, 응답자의 특성에 따라 자동차의 속성에 대한 한계효용에 유의한 차이가 있는 것을 발견할 수 있었다. 또한 자동차의 속성이 응답자의 효용수준에 미치는 영향이 같을 지라도 보상변이로 표출될 때는 다르게 나타날 수 있고, 반대로 효용수준에 미치는 영향이 다를지라도 보상변이는 같은 수준으로 나타날 수 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 한계효용은 주관적인 기준이기 때문에 응답자마다 다를 수 있는 반면, 보상변이는 상충관계를 이용한 객관적인 기준이 될 수 있기 때문에 응답자 특성에 따른 실질적인 선호의 차이를 나타낼 수 있다. 보상변이에 의하면 남성과 장년이 연비가 높은 차량을 더욱 선호하는 것으로 나타났다. 고유류비 소비자는 저유류비 소비자보다 주유시간에 더욱 민감하에 반응하고, 휘발유 차량은 청년층에서 더욱 선호된다.

전 영역의 전압보상을 위한 단상 직렬형 Quasi Z-소스 전압 Sag-Swell 보상기 (Single-Phase Series Type Quasi Z-Source Voltage Sag-Swell Compensator for Voltage Compensation of Entire Region)

  • Conventional single-phase series quasi Z-source voltage compensator can not compensate for voltage sag less than 50% that frequently occurs in the industrial field. In this study, single-phase series quasi Z-source voltage sag-swell compensator which can compensate the voltage variation of entire range is proposed. The proposed system is composed of two quasi Z-source AC-AC converters connected in series with output terminal stage. Voltage sag less than 50% could be compensated by the intersection switching control of the upper converter duty ratio and of the upper converter duty ratio. Also the compensation voltage and its flowchart for each compensation mode are presented for entire sag-swell region. To confirm the validity of the proposed system, a DSP(DSP28335) controlled experimental system was manufactured. As a result, the proposed system could compensate for the voltage sag/swell of 20% and 60%. Finally, voltage compensation factor and THD(Total Harmonic Distortion) according to voltage variation and load change were measured, and voltage quality shows a good results.

밀리미터파 탐색기 2축 직구동 김발 서보 시스템의 직접 및 간접 시선안정화 성능 분석 (Analysis of Line of Sight Stabilization Performance based on Direct vs. Indirect of a 2-axis Gimbaled Servo System for Millimeter Wave Seeker)

  • Tracking and detecting targets by the millimeter wave seeker is affected by movement of platform. Stabilization equipments use an inertial sensor to compensate for disturbance of stabilizing gimbal or platform. In the direct line of sight stabilization system, an inertial sensor is mounted on inner gimbal to compensate the disturbance directly, so the performance is excellent and the implementation method is simple. However gimbal design requires somewhat larger volume. Since an inertial sensor is mounted on gimbal base in the indirect line of sight stabilization system, additional space of gimbal is not required for the gimbal design. However, this method does not directly compensate for the disturbance of the line of sight stabilization axis, which can degrade performance. In order to perform the tracking performance, two methods are analyzed for line of sight stabilization performance based on direct and indirect of a 2-axis gimbaled servo system for millimeter wave seeker in this study. The simulation and experimental results validate the performance comparison of two methods.

Ability of non-destructive assay techniques to identify sophisticated material partial defects

  • This study explores the ability of non-destructive assay techniques to detect a partial material defect in which 100 g of plutonium are diverted from the center of a 1000 g can of PuO2 powder. Four safeguards measurements techniques: neutron multiplicity counting, calorimetry, gravimetry, and gamma ray spectroscopy are used in an attempt to detect the defect. Several materials are added to the partial defect PuO2 can to replicate signatures of the diverted material. 252Cf is used to compensate for the doubles neutron counts, 241Am is used to compensate for the decay heat, and aluminum is used to compensate for the weight. Although, the doubles and triples difference before and after diversion are statistically indistinguishable with the AWCC in fast and thermal mode, the difference in the singles counts are statistically detectable in both modes. The relatively short half-life of 252Cf leads to a decrease (three sigma uncertainty) in the doubles neutron counts after 161 days. Combining this with the precise quantity of 241Am needed (10.7 g) to mimic the heat signature and the extreme precision in 252Cf mass needed to defeat neutron multiplicity measurements gives reassurance in the International Atomic Energy Agency's ability to detect partial material defects.

  • The growing number of nonlinear loads such as static power converters has posed a problem on the quality of electric power supply. The active filters (AF) have been rapidly expanding with the advancement of power electronics technology. The purpose of the active filters is to compensate current harmonics and/or current imbalance. The authors have studied and introduced the PV-AF system; the PV power system, which is used widely as a dispersed source, including the function of active filter to compensate the harmonics caused by nonlinear loads. The PV-AF system has merits not only to compensate harmonics caused by nonlinear loads but also to increase the utilization of PCS. This paper describes the grid-connected single phase PV-AF system and the PSCAD/EMTDC simulation results.

  • This paper proposes a controller design of a distributed source inverter in stand-alone mode or grid-connected mode to compensate the current or voltage harmonics caused by local nonlinear load. The PR-based multi loop controller has been used to improve the dynamic performance of the system and to compensate the output voltage or grid current harmonics. The multi-loop controller consists of an outer current controller and an inner voltage controller for the output voltage control in stand-alone mode. In grid-connected mode, an outer current controller is added to the output voltage controller for the grid current control. The design performance of each controller is described through the Root locus and Bode plot of the transfer functions. The validity of the proposed control algorithm and design parameters has been verified through the PSiM simulation and experimental results.
