산림기반 야생동식물보호구역 조경을 위한 기초연구 (A Preliminary Study on the Adjustment of Forest-based Wildlife Protection Area)

  • This study was conducted in order to recommend forest-based wildlife protection areas in Chung-nam Province using several basic habitat conditions. The conditions used in this study were the forest patch size with the potential to keep wildlife animals safe, the distance from water sources, and the availability of food for wildlife. The fractal dimension index was also used to find the edge line dynamics, which can influence on habitat conditions for edge species. The natural conservation management indices including a forest map (indicating the level of forest age), a slope map, and an elevation map were used to find the forest patches with enough space for wildlife to live on. Water resources and their buffer areas were considered as factors to protect the space as an ecological corridor. Deciduous trees and trees mixed with deciduous trees and conifers were chosen to provide wildlife animals their food. In total, 525 forest patches were chosen and recommended for the wildlife protection area. Five of these forest patches were recommended as wildlife protection areas managed by the provincial government. The other 520 forest patches were recommended to protect local wildlife animals and be managed by each county or city. These forest patches were located around the Geum-buk and Geum-nam mountains, and the forest patches are important resources as habitats to keep wildlife in the area. An ecological network consists of these separate forest patches with the ecological integration. A fractal dimension index was used to divide forest patches into several categories in order to find how patches are shaped. The forest patches with longer edges or more irregular shapes have a much higher possibility of being inhabited by various types of edge species. Through comparison of the wildlife protection areas recommended in this study to the current wildlife protection areas, we recognized that the current wildlife protection areas need boundary adjustments in order for wildlife animals to survive by themselves with water sources and food.

기준점 패치 및 보조점 정합에 의한 지상기준점의 영상좌표 자동관측 (Automatic Measuring of GCP's Image Coordinates using Control Point Patch and Auxiliary Points Matching)

  • 위성으로부터 정확한 3차원 위치정보를 계산하기 위하여 영상획득순간의 정확한 센서의 외부표정요소(위치와 자세)를 알고 있어야 한다. 이미 정확한 3차원 정보를 알고 있는 지상기준점을 이용하여 센서의 외부표정요소를 결정하는 엄밀법은 정확한 3차원 정보를 추출할 수 있는 최선의 방법 중 하나이다. 엄밀법에 의하여 센서 모델링을 할 때 지상기준점의 영상좌표 관측작업이 선행되어야한다. 본 연구에서는 지상기준점 영상패치 및 보조점 정합에 의해 입체영상 3차원 모형화에 필요한 지상기준점의 영상좌보를 자동으로 추출할 수 있는 기법을 개발하였다. 관측정확도는 수작업으로 관측한 값과 자동 계산된 영상좌표의 결과를 비교분석하여 평가하였으며, SPOT위성영상의 3차원 모형화에 적용하여 정확도를 평가하므로써 SPOT위성영상3차원 모형화 과정에서 지상기준점의 영상좌표 관측을 자동화 할 수 있음을 입증하였다.

Williams syndrome의 외과적 치험 (Surgical Treatment of the Williams Syndrome)

  • Supravalvular aortic stenosis is relatively uncommon form of congenital heart disease and the most important lesion of this anomaly is various narrowing of the aortic lumen just above the sinus of Valsalva. We experienced a case of hourglass type of supravalvular aortic stenosis involving lcm from length from lcm above the sinus of Valsalva. The patient was associated with mental retardation, peculiar facies and dental anomaly. The diagnosis was confirmed preoperatively by retrograde left heart catheterization and left ventriculography. An incision was made in the ascending aorta and into the right coronary and noncornary sinus. Care was taken to protect the right coronary artery. A Y-shaped patch of Dacron was made to enlarge the stenotic portion of aorta. Postoperative pressure gradient between the aorta and left ventricle markedly reduced 36 mmHg in comparison with preoperative pressure gradient 150mmHg. The boy was discharged without any event.

An Efficient Algorithm for Real-Time 3D Terrain Walkthrough

  • The paper presents an efficient algorithm based on ROAM for visualization of large scale terrain models in real-time. The quality and smoothness of the terrain data visualization within a 3D interactive environment is preserved, while the complexity of the algorithm is kept on a reasonable level. The main contribution of the paper is an introduction of a number of efficient techniques such as implicit coordinates method within the patch array representing ROAM and the viewpoint dependent triangle rendering method for dynamic level of detail (LOD) updates. In addition, the paper presents experimental comparison of a variety of culling techniques, including a newly introduced method: relational position culling. These techniques are incorporated in the visualization software, which allows to achieve more realistic terrain representation and the real-time level of detail reduction.

Robust Visual Tracking using Search Area Estimation and Multi-channel Local Edge Pattern

  • Recently, correlation filter based trackers have shown excellent tracking performance and computational efficiency. In order to enhance tracking performance in the correlation filter based tracker, search area which is image patch for finding target must include target. In this paper, two methods to discriminatively represent target in the search area are proposed. Firstly, search area location is estimated using pyramidal Lucas-Kanade algorithm. By estimating search area location before filtering, fast motion target can be included in the search area. Secondly, we investigate multi-channel Local Edge Pattern(LEP) which is insensitive to illumination and noise variation. Qualitative and quantitative experiments are performed with eight dataset, which includes ground truth. In comparison with method without search area estimation, our approach retain tracking for the fast motion target. Additionally, the proposed multi-channel LEP improves discriminative performance compare to existing features.

An efficient six-node plate bending hybrid/mixed element based on mindlin/reissner plate theory

  • A new efficient hybrid/mixed thin~moderately thick plate bending element with 6-node (HM6-14) is formulated based on the Reissner-Mindlin plate bending theory. The convergence of this element is proved by error estimate theories and verified by patch test respectively. Numerical studies on such an element as HM6-14 demonstrate that it has remarkable convergence, invariability to geometric distorted mesh situations, to axial rotations, and to node positions, and no "locking" phenomenon in thin plate limit. The present element is suitable to many kinds of shape and thin~moderately thick plate bending problems. Further, in comparison with original hybrid/mixed plate bending element HP4, the present element yields an improvement of solutions. Therefore, it is an efficient element and suitable for the development of adaptive multi-field finite element method (FEM).

Analysis of Frequency Selective Surface on Isotropic/Anisotropic Layers Using WCIP Method

  • The wave concept iterative procedure (WCIP) is used to analyze arbitrarily shaped frequency selective surfaces (FSS). The WCIP method is developed from the fast modal transform based on a two-dimensional fast Fourier transform algorithm. Using the proposed procedure, less computing time and memory are needed to calculate the scattering parameters of the FSS structure. The method is applied to the modeling of an FSS structure of a rectangular patch and a comparison with experimental results confirms good agreement.

  • In this paper, several improved Element-Free Galerkin (EFG) methods containing singular expression in their approximation functions are compared one another through a patch test with near-tip field. Intrinsic enrichments that expand the basis function partially and fully with known near-tip displacement field and a local enrichment using auxiliary supports based on the partition of unity concept are examined by evaluating a relative stress norm error and the stress intensity factor. Some numerical examinations graphically show that how the size of compact support, dilation parameter and the diffraction parameter can affect the accuracy of the improved EFG methods in the error and the stress intensity factor.

결함 모드 특성을 갖는 주파수 선택적 표면에 의한 안테나 이득 향상 (Antenna Gain Enhancement Using FSS(Frequency Selective Surface) with Defect Mode Characteristic)

  • 본 논문은 결함 모드 특성을 갖는 주파수 선택적 표면에 의한 WCDMA에서 동작하는 안테나의 이득 향상을 위한 설계와 제작에 대해 다룬다. 제안된 결함 모드 특성을 갖는 FSS 단위 셀은 동일한 크기의 일반적인 단위 셀보다 낮은 주파수 대역에서 적용이 가능하므로 단위 셀의 크기를 66 % 정도 축소시키었다. 단위 셀의 최적화 된 배열 개수는 $13{\times}13$으로 하였으며, WCDMA 송신 대역과 수신 대역에서 동작하는 패치 안테나를 각각 설계하였다. 사각형 구조의 단일 패치 안테나를 사용하여 WCDMA 대역을 포함한 동작 특성을 나타내도록 하였다. 모의 실험한 결과, 송신 대역에서 제안된 FSS-1 복합체 구조(송신 대역의 패치 안테나와 FSS)의 이득은 9.98 dBi에서 13.28 dBi로 3.3 dB 향상되었다. 수신 대역에서 제안된 FSS-2 복합체 구조(수신 대역의 패치 안테나와 FSS)의 이득은 9.81 dBi에서 15.34 dBi로 5.53 dB 향상되었다 측정 결과 제작된 FSS 복합체 안테나는 약 337 MHz($1.87{\sim}2.21GHz$)의 대역폭을 가지며 1.95 GHz에서 11.39 dBi, 2.05 GHz에서 13.11 dBi, 2.14 GHz에서 11.09 dBi의 이득을 나타내었고, 방사 효율은 81 %임을 확인하였다. 제안된 FSS 복합체 안테나는 높은 이득을 갖기 때문에 WCDMA 중계기 시스템에 응용될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

한국잔디 갈색퍼짐병의 생물학적 방제를 위한 길항미생물의 분리 및 선발 (Isolation and Selection of Antagonistic Microbes for Biological Control of Zoysiagrass Large Patch Disease)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 한국잔디에 발생하는 병해 중 가장 큰 피해를 나타내는 갈색퍼짐병의 생물학적 방제를 위해 새로운 길항 미생물을 분리하고 그 방제효과를 기내 및 생물검정을 통해 확인하는 것이다. 갈색퍼짐병에 항균활성을 갖는 길항미생물을 선발하고자 토양으로부터 미생물을 분리하여 R. solani AG2-2 (IV)와의 대치배양을 통해 61균주를 1차로 선발하였으며, 선발 균주 중 R. solani AG2-2(IV)의 균사 생육 억제력이 가장 큰 3종의 균주 I-009, FRIN-001-1 및 YPIN-022를 최종 길항미생물로 선발하였다. 이들 세 분리균주의 16s rRNA 염기서열을 분석한 결과 I-009와 FRIN-001-1은 Bacillus 속에 속하였고, YPIN-022 균주는 Pseudomonas 속의 미생물로 확인되었다. 배양여액을 이용한 R. solani AG2-2 (IV)의 균체량 측정결과 선발 길항미생물 모두 51.7-63.5%의 균체 증식 억제력을 확인하였다. 장성에서 수확한 들잔디의 일종인 장성중지를 생육상에서 활착시킨 후 조사한 생물검정에서 잔디줄기 위에 균체 발생율은 I-009와 YPIN-022 균주 처리구에서 각각 60.3%와 65.0%로 갈색퍼짐병 병원균 단독처리구에 비하여 28.1%와 23.7%의 병 발생 억제효과를 나타냈으나, FRIN-001-1 균주 처리구는 47.8%의 균체발생율을 보여 비교적 높은 43.0%의 병 발생 억제율을 보였다. 본 연구결과 한국잔디 갈색퍼짐병에 대한 병 발생 억제율이 가장 우수한 선발 길항미생물 균주는 FRIN-001-1였고, 향후 추가적인 포장검증을 통해 한국잔디 이용지역을 위한 생물농약 개발에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
