현재 운영 중인 광역철도 승차권은 교통카드와 정기권 등으로 매우 제한되어 있어, 소비자 선택에 한계가 있으며, 소비자 수요의 다양성을 고려한 승차권 제도 도입이 필요한 실정이다. 이에 외국 주요도시에서 사용 중인 다양한 승차권 제도 운영을 분석하여 우리나라 수도권 광역철도 승차권 제도가 보다 효율적으로 운영되는 방안을 제시하였다. 주요내용으로는 대중교통 이용 촉진 및 비용부담 감소, 수익증대의 효과로 이어질 수 있도록 하여 외국에서 일반화되어 있는 1일권 승차권, 승용차 출퇴근자의 승객과 승차인원 증대를 위한 출퇴근권 및 경춘선 등에 서비스가 공급대비 수요가 부족한 경우에 한해 왕복 여행객에 대한 특별할인 왕복승차권 제도 도입을 제안하였다.

유치원이나 어린이집 통학 차량의 탑승 사고는 여러 가지 정책적 조치에도 불구하고 꾸준히 발생하고 있다. 이를 최소화하기 위해서는 운전자가 간편하게 조작할 수 있는 차량 탑재형 안전 통학 관리 소프트웨어와 아동의 안전 통학 여부를 관리하고 부모에게 적시에 알려주는 모바일 앱의 병행 사용이 필요하다. 본 논문은 이 중 안전 통학 관리 모바일 앱의 설계와 구현에 대하여 설명한다. 이 안드로이드용 앱은 학부모 모드에서는 정류장마다 GPS를 이용한 버스의 현재 운행 상황 및 아동의 개인 탑승 여부를 알려주고 동승 교사는 RFID 미소지자나 미인가 동승자(부모, 조부모 등)의 처리 등 예외 상황 관리도 가능하다.

본 논문에서는 우리나라에서 가장 교통이 혼잡한 수도권에서의 출퇴근 시나리오를 선정하고, 미국연방항공국에서 개발한 AEDT (aviation environmental design tool) 소트프웨어를 사용하여 PAV (personal air vehicle) 운용 시 발생하는 소음분석을 수행하였다. 미항공우주국에서 선보인 ODM (on-demand mobility) 개념에서 PAV를 운용하기 위한 안전성 다음으로 소음이 중요한 고려요소이다. PAV의 정확한 NPD (noise power distance) 데이터가 공개되어 있지 않는 문제를 해결하고자 eVTOL (electric vertical take off and landing) PAV와 같은 저소음 PAV를 민간용 헬리콥터로 모델링하여 소음 분석을 수행하고, 해당지역의 주거 적합성을 예측하였다. 전기추진과 같은 소음 감소 기술의 적용은 소음 노출 레벨을큰 폭으로 감소시켰고, 수도권내에서 소음문제 없이 PAV를 이용한 출퇴근이 실현 가능하다는 결론에 도달하였다.

본 연구는 서울시를 대상으로 가구통행실태조사 자료를 이용하여 통행목적별 자전거 통행행태를 분석하고 그 영향요인을 규명하는데 목적이 있으며, 주요 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 서울시 행정동별 자전거 통행비율을 분석한 결과 지역별로 약 14.2%의 차이를 보이는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 나이, 성별, 소득, 직업, 주거유형 등 다양한 개인특성변수들이 통행목적별 자전거 통행수단 선택에 영향을 미치며, 통행 장소와 관련하여 공통적으로 주거지와 같은 행정동 내 시설을 이용할 경우 자전거 통행이 늘어나는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 근린환경특성을 나타내는 변수들 중에서 근린의 토지이용혼합도가 높고 범죄발생률이 낮을수록 통근 및 통학 목적의 자전거 통행이 늘어나는 것으로 나타나 주거, 업무, 상업시설의 용도 혼합과 함께 지역의 범죄안전성을 높이는 것이 통근 및 통학 목적의 자전거 이용을 활성화하는데 중요한 역할을 한다고 생각된다. 또한 자전거 도로밀도와 지역의 경사도는 공통적으로 통근 및 통학, 쇼핑, 운동 및 여가 목적의 자전거 통행에 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 자전거 통행을 활성화하기 위해서는 자전거도로 공급을 통해 자전거도로의 접근성을 높이고 지역의 경사도 등을 고려하여 자전거 기반시설의 입지를 결정할 필요가 있다.

최근 들어 시설투자를 통하여 대중교통중심의 교통체계로 전환을 시도하는 지방자치단체가 점차 늘어나고 있다. 그러나 장기적으로 지속적인 대중교통수송분담율의 제고를 위하여 대중교통 역세권의 토지이용체계를 대중교통중심으로 전환하는 것이 중요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 도시공간구조를 고려하여 서울 수도권 지하철 역세권에 대하여 역 주변에 거주하는 잠재적 이용자를 최대한 수용할 수 있도록 역세권의 공간범위를 설정하는 방안을 모색하는데 있다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 2002년 서울시에서 수행한 가구통행실태조사의 통행자료를 이용하여 지하철통행시간과 보행접근시간의 상관관계를 분석하였다. 그 결과 역세권의 공간적 범위를 결정하는 보행접근시간은 지하철통행시간과 밀접한 관계를 가지나 공간적 위계에 따라 다르다는 것을 발견하였고, 지하철통근자의 개인속성도 공간구조적 특성과 함께 보행접근시간에 차별적으로 영향을 미침을 확인하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 대중교통중심의 개발정책에 반영할 경우 지하철의 안정적인 이용률 제고에 기여할 것으로 기대한다.

In recent years, the population of children has been declining in Korea. Moreover, the phenomenon of elementary school closures is on the rise, particularly in non-urban and some new city areas, highlighting the need for school buses for children. Despite the mandatory safety features in place, accidents involving school buses for children are on the rise, underscoring the need for improvement in the safety of these vehicles. While various studies have been conducted to enhance the safety of children during their school commute, there has been a notable gap in research analyzing the school commuting environment concerning the vehicle safety of these buses. Hence, this study aims to develop a set of service evaluation criteria for school bus routes, considering vehicle safety through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). By conducting a survey to gather information on the current status of school buses for children and through questionnaires targeting stakeholders in the school bus sector, the study analyzed requirements and operating conditions. These results were used to select evaluation criteria and structure the hierarchy based on the external and internal aspects of school bus services. Through AHP surveys conducted based on the designed criteria, experts identified safety as the most crucial aspect, with a specific emphasis on Vehicle Safety. Using these developed service evaluation criteria, the study plans to identify service-vulnerable routes through a real route analysis and recommend improvements, with the ultimate goal of creating a safe and convenient school commuting environment for children.

In this paper we investigate the local spectral properties of quasidecomposable operators. We show that if $T{\in}L(X)$ is quasi-decomposable, then T has the weak-SDP and ${\sigma}_{loc}(T)={\sigma}(T)$. Also, we show that the quasi-decomposability is preserved under commuting quasi-nilpotent perturbations. Moreover, we show that if $f:U{\rightarrow}{\mathbb{C}}$ is an analytic and injective on an open neighborhood U of ${\sigma}(T)$, then $T{\in}L(X)$ is quasi-decomposable if and only if f(T) is quasi-decomposable. Finally, if $T{\in}L(X)$ and $S{\in}L(Y)$ are asymptotically similar, then T is quasi-decomposable if and only if S does.

The number of household living alone including young single adults has gradually increased. The purpose of this study is to examine the demand on housing options, additional space, shared space, community facilities, housing service for young adults living alone including college students. A total of 180 questionnaire were collected and analyzed. For housing location, commuting distance is the most important feature and amenities are the second important feature. For additional space, there is a significant difference between male and female single residents. Female residents want to install dress room most while male adults want to have a study room. For the shared house option, single adults concerns housing fee and living cost most. However, female adults concern safety and security issues much more than male ones do. The degree of preference to community facilities varies between male and female single residents. The findings suggest more differentiated approaches are needed for alternative housing options for male and female residents.

Klein proved that polynomial rings over nil rings of bounded index are also nil of bounded index; while Puczylowski and Smoktunowicz described the nilradical of a power series ring with an indeterminate. We extend these results to those with any set of commuting indeterminates. We also study prime radicals of power series rings over some class of rings containing the case of bounded index, finding some examples which elaborate our arguments; and we prove that R is a PI ring of bounded index then the power series ring R[[X]], with X any set of indeterminates over R, is also a PI ring of bounded index, obtaining the Klein's result for polynomial rings as a corollary.

The research deals with the establishment of transportation areas in the metropolitan cities. The purpose is three-fold ; 1) to review the existing literature : 2) to analyze the commuting (work and school) pattern and interregional movement pattern of passengers and freights ; 3) to establish the metropolitan transportation area based on the above analyses. The transportation area is defined by the analysis of trip pattern to the center city of each metropolitan area. The detailed indices for establishment are selected by the rank-size and time-distance analyses. For the operational purpose, the study defines 3 different transportation areas as follows : the first transportation area means the directly effecting region of the center city ; the second means the region with many reverse trips and development potentials ; and the third means the indirectly effecting region. It can be concluded that the first transportation area includes 10 cities and 5 counties in Seoul metropol tan region, Yangdsan-Gun, Kimhae-Gun and Kimhae-Si in Busan, Dalsung-Gun, Chilgok-Gun and Kyungsan-Gun in Daegu, Hwasung-Gun and Raju-Gun in Kwangju, and Daeduk-Gun in Daejun. These results could be expected to have many implications for the establishment of area-wide public transportation network, the metropolitan transportation decision-making bodies and others.
