Background and Aim : As the aged society is coming, people pay attention to it and the government is also increasing subsidy into the welfare of the aged. As a branch of social welfare, community welfare is familiar and close to local residents. We could open up a new field in community welfare for oriental medicine and oriental medical doctor(OMD). Materials and Method : Analyzing the worts of community welfare center, we tried to find ways for OMDs to take part in there. We focused m community care and home care service of community welfare center and community health center. Result : Free oriental medical services are offered in many places, but a lot of them are temporary and hard to continue due to financial problem and lack of specialist. Local residents want to know about oriental medicine but few OMDs are willing to participate, thereforen, unqualified lectures of such as hand acupuncture, moxibustion, meridian massage prevail among them. This leads to illegal oriental medical services in the name of volunteer medical work. Conclusion The system is needed that local OMD association take part in community welfare of oriental medical service and care with community welfare center and community health center. Local volunteer medical services and researches of medical policy can help increase the chance for OMDs to go into social welfare system of the aged.

This study was carried out to investigate the present status of nutrition services for infants in public health centers and the need for nutrition services of health workers and infants mothers. The study subjects were 146 health workers and 197 infants mothers. The results were as follows : At present, the only major nutrition services for infants were vaccination and dental care. Proper nutrition management services were available to infants. Nutrition knowledge scores were 16.8 for health workers and 15.3 for mothers out of 20 possible points. Health workers strongly demanded a well-organized nutrition education program, government support, audio-visual materials and the employment of a community nutritionist. The public health workers, in particular, demanded the development of education programs for breastfeeding and weaning. The infants mothers demanded services of nutrition information and teaching of cooking and menu planning. Based on this, the results suggest that the employment of a community nutritionist and the development of practical nutrition service programs for infants are needed very urgently for public health centers.

The objective of this paper is to make use of marketing in order to managerial good conducted the pursuit of public interest of the public library. The information service of the public library is to be user orientated. The results of the study is as follows : The activation of the community information is based on get hold of the exact community needs : in this paper, it is proposed to the survey's frame of the community need ; according to the results of the survey, the community needs the institution of the information and referral service and the public library must be made of the information unit of the nation for the public service and the public sphere of the information in the future.

This study evaluated the community-based rehabilitation services provided by the Wonju Public Health Center from Jan. 2000 to Dec. 2002. Ninety-four persons with disabilities dwelling in the community participated and the surveys were completed in an interview during home visits. The respondents' demographic, socio-economic, and medical characteristics, rehabilitation service received, willingness to receive home-visit rehabilitation services, and satisfaction with the rehabilitation services were analyzed by frequency and percentage. A Likert scoring system consisting of five agreement-disagreement categories was applied to each item, consisting of Very Satisfied, Satisfied, So-So, Poorly Satisfied, and Very Poorly Satisfied. The major findings were as follows: 1) The rehabilitation services used included medical rehabilitation (26.9%), followed by social assistance (23.5%), diagnosis by a physician at home (17.3%), medical examination (12.3%), housekeeping services (6.2%), and vocational and educational rehabilitation (3.5%). 2) Of the medical services, the respondents desired physical therapy at home and free rental of rehabilitation equipment, such as wheelchairs, canes, walkers, the most, followed by home visit occupational therapy, nursing services, and oriental medicine service in descending order. 3) Some of the respondents expressed so-so satisfaction (50.0%) or dissatisfaction (16.9%) with the rehabilitation services provided by the Wonju Public Health Center. These findings should prove useful when planning or extending community-based rehabilitation programs for the homebound disabled in the community.

정부는 보육시설과 지역사회와의 연계방안을 보육지침에 넣고 지역사회와 연계한 프로그램들을 몇 가지 내놓았지만 현재 이를 제대로 활용하고 있는 보육시설은 거의 없다. 이에 본 연구에서는 보육시설의 지역사회서비스 내용에 대한 부모들의 전반적이고 포괄적인 보육욕구를 조사하고자 하였으며, 본 연구를 통해 보육시설에 유아를 보내고 있는 학부모, 지역사회의 각각의 욕구를 해결하는 성공적인 보육서비스의 발판을 마련하고, 이를 통해 보육서비스는 개별아동권을 보장하는 보육서비스로, 사회적 필요성을 충족하는 보육서비스로 발전할 수 있도록 하고 궁극적으로는 지역사회복지에 기여하고자 하였다. 이러한 연구목적을 위해 자녀를 보육시설에 보내고 있는 학부모를 대상으로 학부모들의 생활실태 및 지역사회서비스에 대한 전체적인 견해를 살펴보았다. 또한 보육시설 지역사회서비스를 지역사회봉사, 지역사회홍보, 지역사회참여, 지역사회자원동원의 네 가지 영역으로 나누고 이에 대하여 부모의 요구수준의 정도와 부모의 인구통계학적 특성에 따라서 지역사회서비스 프로그램에 차이가 있는지를 분석하였으며, 보육시설 지역사회서비스 프로그램이 전체적인 지역사회 서비스 요구수준에 미치는 영향을 파악 하였다.

This study aims to develop strategies to reinforce the roles of universities and volunteer service activities centering on promotion of their connections to communities and community-oriented volunteer service activities. First, for autonomous and continuing development of volunteer services, universities should have active connections with service organizations. Second, more specialized volunteer service programs should be developed. Third, as volunteer service activities are somewhat forced on college students, recognition for them should be improved. Fourth, as the quality of the service and academic achievement decrease, conditions for volunteer service education and programs should be made available. Fifth, for continuing participation in volunteer service activities, organized systems should be established.

This study conducted research on the actual state of community-oriented services for elderly rural inhabitants and their desire related to them to develop a local community service network model suitable to the characteristics of rural longevity villages. The research was conducted on 906 elderly people over 65 living in 20 rural longevity villages through questionnaires assessing filming and economy, economic activity, health care, learning and leisure activities as well as asking their wants and needs relative to local community services. As a result, it was found rural elderly people showed a high desire for local community services such as health, transportation and economy activity. In addition, they were mainly cultivating farm products as their economic activity and showed a high demand in the future as well. Most were found to take a walk in the healthcare field and showed a high demand for health examinations, health education, health consulting, hot spring bathing and basking in the woods. Respecting learning, social and leisure activities, they were mostly found to watch TV and do house chores, and showed a high desire for village environment repair, traditional farm music, visiting and tourism. With the above results, it is expected that the desire of rural elderly for such services can be satisfied, and the development of a local community service network model suitable to the characteristic of a local community is recommended.

온라인 커뮤니티는 사회성(Sociability)을 중심으로 구성되기 때문에 웹사이트 개발에 있어서도 사용성(Usability)측면과 함께 사회성(Sociability)측면이 같이 고려되어야 한다. 그러나 대부분의 온라인 커뮤니티들이 기존 웹사이트 개발 프로세스에 의해 개발되고 있어 사회성 요소를 고려한 개발이 어려운 실정이다. 평가시스템은 개발의 방향성을 제시하는 중요한 도구이다. 이에 본 연구에서는 사회성 요소를 반영하는 커뮤니티 평가 시스템을 도입하여, 온라인 커뮤니티 평가를 위한 가이드 라인을 제시하고자 하였다. 먼저 온라인 커뮤니티를 이루는 12가지 사회성요소를 바탕으로 평가 요소를 도출하고, 실제 운영되고 있는 대표적인 커뮤니티 사이트를 유형별로 선정하여 평가를 실시하였다. 결과적으로 온라인 커뮤니티 서비스를 8가지로 유형화하여 유형별 사회성 요소의 활성화 정도를 도출해 낼 수 있었다. 본 평가를 통하여 도출된 유형별 사회성 활성화 수치는 기존 온라인 커뮤니티 사이트를 평가할 수 있는 가이드라인이 될 수 있으며, 개선 방향을 제시하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

Recently the change of social environment has influence on the conditions of space for the community welfare center. And so the relation of space and function required the change. The important role of the social welfare center is family welfare, domiciliary and community care, community organization etc. In this sence, this study explore the condition of space planning for the community welfare center. For this study, it was reviewed the role and function, the service program, the usage characteristics. In sum, the useful data were collected, analyzed, and synthesized through case study and could be used in the guidelines as reference information for the future centers.

The purpose of this study was to develop the community programs of multihousing in Korea through evaluating and analyzing the actual conditions of community in multihousing in U.S.A. This study was conducted by using a field survey and questionaire at the 2 multihousing complexes located in the City of Blacksburg, Virginia, U.S.A. The major findings were as follows: 1) There was a variety of community programs and facilities, such as a monthly newsletter which allowed information to be exchanged among all residents. The programs also provided news on events for the children, teenagers, college students, adults and seniors. These events were held at the club house or pond area. 2) The average degree of satisfaction of these programs and facilities was high. 3) Korea need to follow the example of the U.S.A by i) providing a monthly newsletter periodically to exchange information ii) offering a variety of community programs iii) providing programs regarding district bureau of public administration, kindergarten service, telecommunications office and holding service for package, registered mail, drycleaning, etc.
