응급구조(학)과 수업에서의 문제중심학습 능력 향상을 위한 모듈개발 -뇌졸중 패키지- (Module Development to Improve Problem Based Learning Ability in Department of Emergency Medical Technician Lecture - Stroke Package -)

  • Purpose: This study was to develop PBL packages geared toward fostering the problem-solving ability, self-directed learning capability and communicative competence of emergency medical technician students and to give some suggestions on the development of PBL packages of the approach based on the evaluation results of the packages by experts. Methods: First, real clinical situations that learners would be exposed to after graduation should be provided as examples when the packages are developed. Second, a variety of learning-facilitating tools should be offered to facilitate their understanding, because they don't yet gain plenty of clinical practice experiences. Third, they should be encouraged to have an energetic discussion in small group when the developed packages are applied. Conclusion: First, the packages developed in this study were just incorporated into some areas of a single course. In the future, the integration of an entire course or the development of a new course is required to attain the multiple learning objectives in the provided clinical situations. Second, this study attempted to develop the PBL packages to boost the problem-solving ability, self-directed learning capability and communicative competence of emergency medical technician students, and follow-up research should be implemented to finalize the packages based on the suggestions of the experts who evaluated them and to determine the effects of the packages.

간호대학생을 위한 공감교육 프로그램이 공감능력, 대인관계 능력 및 돌봄에 미치는 효과 (The Effect of an Empathy Education Program on Nursing Students' Empathy Ability, Interpersonal Ability, and Caring)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to develop and evaluate the effects of an empathy education program for undergraduate nursing students. Methods: The study employed a non-equivalent control group pretest-posttest design. A total of 46 nursing students were voluntarily recruited by convenience sampling from senior nursing students from the nursing department of K college in I city, Korea. Participants were divided into two groups, an experimental group of 23 and a control group of 23. The experimental intervention (empathy education program) was conducted from April 19 to May 6, 2016 and consisted of 150-minute sessions, twice a week, for 3 weeks for a total of 15 hours. Results: Participants demonstrated improvements in perspective taking in cognitive empathy, improved empathic concern in emotional empathy, and improved communicative empathy. Analysis of reflective writings identified four theme clusters regarding communicative empathy: improvement of empathic expression, experiencing comfort and healing, improvement of interpersonal relationships, and experience of conflict resolution. Improved interpersonal ability and caring were also identified. Conclusion: The empathy education program improved cognitive, emotional and communicative empathy, and interpersonal skills and care, which are all necessary qualities for nurses.

전략적 방법을 활용한 역할극 연구: 언어습득시기의 의사소통능력 향상을 중심으로 (On the study of role play using the strategic methodology: With respect to the communicative competence improvement in language acquisition period)

  • The purpose of this study is to justify the effects of role play with respect to speaking and listening functions and to provide the strategic methodology for improving English communicative competence of fifth grade primary school students. We can expand role play as a strategic teaching method to develop English learning models, so that English can be more easily acquired to the students who are in the critical language acquisition period. Strategic role play reflects the events and experiences of many kinds of people in everyday life. It is suggested that one of the best methods to improve English communicative competence in the primary classroom is through role play. Students can develop meaning for language patterns by portraying situations in which these instances in language would be used. This study proposes to facilitate English communicative ability using various student-centered role play strategies. It is concluded that the student-centered activities using strategic role play help the students to improve their English communicative competence. This is done by deriving their own creative dialogues and presenting the role play with their interests in learning English and with subsequently positive learning effects.

Meanings of Communicative Competence in Different Learning Contexts

  • This study surveyed L2 learners' needs for different components of communicative competence. It aimed to determine what abilities the learners strongly need to achieve communicative competence in different learning contexts. It also examined gender differences in the learners' need for phonological competence. A total of 359 students participated in this study, divided into three learner groups: high school, vocational college, and university students. The data were collected via a questionnaire, which was based on Bachman's (1990) framework of language competence. The study drew some important findings: (a) The vocational trainees expressed a stronger need for illocutionary competence than the high school students and for sociolinguistic competence than the high school and the university groups; (b) The high school and the university groups equated grammatical, textual, illocutionary, and strategic competences in their needs with lesser attention to sociolinguistic competence; (c) To the high school and the university groups, pragmatic competence was assessed higher than organizational competence; (d) Female students showed greater sensitivity to pronunciation ability than did male students. On the basis of these results, pedagogical implications are discussed, along with some helpful suggestions.

문제중심 학습과정 개발 및 적용 효과: 자기주도학습능력, 비판적 사고, 의사소통능력, 문제해결능력 중심으로 (Effectiveness of Developing and Applying Problem Based Learning: Self-Directed Learning Ability, Critical Thinking, Communicative Ability, and Problem Solving Skills of Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구는 문제중심학습을 적용한 이론수업이 간호대학생의 자기주도학습능력, 비판적 사고, 의사소통능력, 문제해결능력 향상에 미치는 효과를 확인함으로써 문제중심학습이 다양한 교육과정 적용에 근거를 제시하고자 하였다. 자료수집기간은 2022년 3월 1일부터 6월 7일까지였고, 연구대상자는 B광역시 소재의 일 대학 간호학과 학생 165명이었다. 문제중심학습을 적용한 이론수업은 총 14주, 1회 100분 수업으로 진행되었다. 수집된 자료는 SPSS Win 21.0 program을 사용하여 빈도와 백분율, Cronbach's α, 평균과 표준편차를 사용하여 분석하였으며, 기간에 따른 인성교육 수업의 효과검증은 Paired t-test로 분석하였다. 문제중심학습 방법을 적용한 이론 수업에 대한 효과를 확인한 결과, 간호대학생의 자기주도학습능력(t=-2.08, p=.039), 비판적 사고(t=-2.49, p=.014), 의사소통능력(t=-4.90, p<.001), 문제해결능력(t=-4.84, p<.001)이 유의하게 향상되었다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 1학년 간호대학생에게 다양한 방법으로 적용함으로써 간호대학생이 갖추어야 역량 향상과 전공만족 및 대학생활 적응에 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

프로젝트 기반 학습의 영자 신문 발간을 통한 과학 영재 학생의 영어 의사소통능력 향상 (Developing English Communicative Ability for Science Gifted Students through Project-based Learning of Publishing English Newspapers)

  • 본 연구는 영자 신문 발간 활동이 영어 의사소통 능력 향상에 미치는 긍정적인 영향을 확인하며 프로젝트 기반의 출판 과정을 통한 독립적이면서도 협동적인 학습 환경의 구현가능성을 탐색한다. 한국과학영재학교의 첫 번째 영자 신문 발간 기획은 프로젝트 기반의 교수학습 방법을 적용한 일련의 단계를 거쳐서 완성되었다. 영어 능력과 참여도에 따른 학생 편집자 선발 과정을 시작으로 분야와 주제 및 제재를 선택하고 역할과 기사를 배분하며 결과물을 통합 편집하는 과정을 거친다. 전 과정에 걸쳐 참여자들은 최소한의 지도 감독 아래서 독립적이면서도 협력적으로 활동에 참여하였다. 사후 설문조사에 따르면 성공적인 영자신문의 발간이 전반적 영어 능력을 향상 시켰을 뿐만 아니라 긍정적인 학습자 자아인식과 주도적인 학습 태도를 키웠다고 나타났다. 본 연구는 언어 교육 뿐 아니라 통합적인 프로젝트 기반 교수 학습에 있어 신문 잡지 등의 출판 활동이 주는 장점을 논하는 한편, 향후 프로젝트 교수 학습 방법과 영어 의사소통능력 향상과 관련된 보다 심화된 연구가능성을 제시한다.

한국어 표현능력 향상을 위한 교육연극 기법 (Educational Drama Skills to Improve the Expressive Ability of Korean Language)

  • 초창기 한국어 교육이 문법 이해를 중요시했다면 현재 한국어 교육은 원활한 의사소통능력의 향상을 중요시하고 있다. 그래서 의사소통 능력을 향상시킬 효과적인 방법의 하나로 교육을 위한 교육연극에 관심이 높다. 교육연극은 실제로 대화할 수 있는 기회를 주기 위해 가상적 상황을 만들어 상황에 맞는 단어와 문법을 사용해 볼 수 있으며, 몸짓, 표정 같은 비언어적 표현도 배울 수 있어 실생활에서 자신감 있게 자신의 의사를 표현하는 능력을 기를 수 있는데, 이는 한국어 교육이 추구하는 의사소통 능력의 향상과 같은 목표를 가지고 있다고 할 수 있다. 또한 학습자가 중심이 되어 활동이 이루어지고, 다른 학습자들과의 협동을 통해 문제를 해결하면서 사회성과 자신감도 기를 수 있다. 본고에서 교육연극 기법 중 인터뷰하기, 텍스트를 대본으로 바꾸기, 이어질 글을 상상해 대본으로 바꾸기, 역할극, 토론을 활용한 활동에 대해 알아보았다. 이러한 활동들이 성공하기 위해서는 좋은 동영상이나 학습 자료들을 개발하여 적극적으로 활용할 수 있도록 해야 하고, 교사를 위한 연수프로그램을 만들어 연수프로그램에서 배운 교육연극 기법들을 수업 시간에 활용할 수 있는 교수 능력을 키우도록 도와야 할 것이다.

영어 시제의 효율적인 교수.학습 전략 (An effective strategy on teaching and learning English tense in the EFL education)

  • Although the understanding of English tense system is a crucial factor for communicative English learning and teaching for EFL students, it has been neglected over the years. As with other areas of the grammar, difficulties may arise from the nature of the system itself or from differences between time, tense and aspect. Consequently, many learners face a considerable difficulty with the English tense system as they are more often unable to grasp the basic conceptual differences of present/present continuous, past/present perfect, will/be going to along with many others. More concerning fact is that lots of instructors or so-called native English teachers seem not to be aware of the importance of teaching English tense system. The purpose of this study is to review and examine various theories and practical usages of tense in order to establish and/or present better methods for teaching tenses. This paper is focused on comparatively exact distinction of time, physical notion from tense, grammatical category as well as sequences of tenses in view of school grammar and communicative function. At the end or middle of each chapter, efficient teaching and learning techniques or strategies on tenses are suggested to help instructors or learners who relentlessly face confusions in understanding tense and its usage for communicative English learning and teaching. This study attempts to influence learners' ability to recognize and write tense in authentic contexts not to mention spoken English.

직업지위가 낮은 취업주부의 가정관리능력 (A study on Home Management Ability of the Low Occupational Status Employed Wives)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the home management ability of the low occupational status employed wives so that the findings may offer them significant information and interest to improve the ability of home management For these purpose reviewing literatures and empirical research were conducted. The sample of this study was selected from the low occupational status employed wives engaging in Seoul Kyoungkee Inchoen, The major findings of this study are summarized as follows. The mean score of the Low Occupational Status employed wives' home management ability was relatively low. Influential variables on home management ability were level of education job-husband income as sociodemographic variables and degrees of communicative satisfaction between husband and wife sex-role attitudes job satisfaction economic life satisfaction and perceived adequacy of resources as psychological variables.

  • The article defines the basic concepts: "election campaign", "social capital", "conversion of social capital"; the principles and methods of research of social capital conversion in election campaigns are studied; the process of using social capital in politics is defined; ways of converting social capital into politics are considered; the possibilities of converting social capital in election campaigns are described. Election campaigns have been found to be a successful form of social capital conversion. The ability to use social capital in the election campaign speaks of its high potential. Election campaigns are not an effective use of social capital.
