The aim of this study is to identify the competencies required for fashion-related majors that meet contemporary demands, align with the objectives of university education, and reflect the qualities desired in graduates. To achieve this goal, we conducted content analysis of relevant data and in-depth interviews with experts. First, the content analysis involved coding key information from the introductions, educational goals, desired qualities of graduates, and curricula published on the websites of both South Korea and international fashion-related universities. Additionally, we analyzed the National Competency Standards (NCS) and the Meta-goals of higher education programs set by the International Textile Apparel Association (ITAA), extracting six core competencies. Second, in-depth interviews were conducted with six experts, each with 23 to 31 years of experience in Korean and international apparel industry and academia. The interviews were recorded, transcribed, and keywords were extracted. To ensure the validity of the coding results, cross-checks were performed among the researchers. The analysis identified the following competencies: empathic communication, social responsibility, professional thinking, creative and integrative thinking, global perspective, and challenging leadership. Based on these findings, establishing competencies that meet contemporary demands and developing corresponding curricula are essential steps towards creating a feedback system. Future research should focus on developing and implementing curricula that foster a virtuous cycle, ultimately enhancing students' competency levels.

While there have been ongoing discussions and attempts to utilize archives for marketing purposes in various organizations, including businesses, there has been a lack of clarity regarding what should be archived and what should be considered as marketing targets within an organization's history. Consequently, historical marketing has often been past-oriented, with results varying significantly based on the capabilities of those in charge. To introduce and effectively utilize archives in organizational settings, it is crucial to demonstrate that archives can positively impact organizational performance. The Heritage Archives is a utilization plan that offers an approach to digitizing and preserving the valuable heritage and assets of a business, explaining them to various stakeholders through records, serving as a foundation for building trust in the business, and linking them to marketing, branding, and other applications. This study focuses on fundamental concepts for constructing and utilizing heritage archives by defining and interpreting key concepts such as the affordance of records, organizational heritage, and heritage assets. To this end, the study incorporates Geoffrey Yeo's affordance and John M.T. Balmer's concept of heritage. In addition, it compares definitions of assets in KS Q ISO 55000:2021, KS X ISO 15489-1:2016, and KS X ISO 30300:2020. Through the study's findings, insights can be obtained for organizations seeking to implement heritage archives and leverage them for marketing, branding, and related purposes.

In this study, we developed a STEAM program based on digital astronomical and space resources and applied it to 167 randomly selected elementary school students to examine the effectiveness of the STEAM program in enhancing creative problem solving skills. The results of this study are as follows: first, the statistical analysis of pre-test and post-test scores for creative problem-solving skills related to the STEAM program showed significant results (p<.05). This suggests that the STEAM program contributed to improving creative problem-solving skills through the procedural process involved in generating ideas and convergent thinking during the digital problem-solving. Second, the paired sample t-test based on the pre-test and post-test of the STEAM attitude test also showed significant results (p<.05). Analyzing digital materials and presenting pixel art projects positively influenced STEAM attitudes in terms of interest, communication, and usefulness. This underscores the need for developing integrative education programs utilizing advanced technologies in the future. Third, in the class satisfaction test conducted after the application of the STEAM program, the satisfaction factor scored an average of 3.55, interest scored 3.35, and overall class difficulty scored 3.46. The main difference from traditional classes was the focus on 'acquisition of future career information.' However, given the slight decrease in interest during the digital transformation and interpretation process, it is recommended that future classes allocate sufficient time for experiential activities. To generalize the developed program, future studies should consider various school levels, implementation periods, and difficulty levels.

Recently, wind power has been gaining attention as a highly efficient renewable energy source, leading to various technological developments worldwide. Typically, wind power is operated in the form of large wind farms with many wind turbines installed in areas rich in wind resources. However, in developing countries or regions isolated from the power grid, off-grid small wind power systems are emerging as an efficient solution. To efficiently operate and expand off-grid small-scale power systems, the development of real-time monitoring systems is required. For the efficient operation of small wind power systems, it is essential to develop real-time monitoring systems that can actively respond to excessive wind speeds and various environmental factors, as well as ensure the stable supply of produced power to small areas or facilities through an Energy Storage System (ESS). The implemented system monitors turbine RPM, power generation, brake operation, and more to create an optimal operating environment. The developed small wind power system can be utilized in remote road lighting, marine leisure facilities, mobile communication base stations, and other applications, contributing to the development of the RE100 industry ecosystem.

The purpose of this study is to explore the direction of home economics education and provide specific implications to help adolescents develop relationship competency. For this purpose, the contents of Korea's character education and UK's relationships education curriculum were analyzed, and the results are as follows. Character education in Korea focused on character education values such as responsibility, respect, consideration, and communication throughout the public education system. These contents were largely consistent with the learning content elements for cultivating relationship-competency in home economics education. UK's relationships education at the primary and secondary levels were similar to that of home economics education in middle school in Korea in its goals and learning contents for understanding and maintaining healthy relationships. However, differences existed in areas of safe relationships, setting boundaries with others, comprehensiveness of sex education content, rights to refuse sex education, and education content based on equal rights. Based on these results, this study concludes that the concept of education on relationships needs to be defined, the composition of educational content should be systematically developed, and further research on the development of teaching and learning methods and learning programs that can elicit and internalize students' attitudes and changes is needed. In addition, insights were gained regarding additional educational contents and considerations to take into account.
This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of an action learning-based educational program for domestic nursing students. A systematic review and meta-analysis were conducted following PRISMA guidelines. Limited to the period from January 2013 to December 2023, a search conducted across the electronic databases DBpia, RISS, KCI, KISS, and SCIENCE ON identified a total of 779 documents. From these, 13 documents that met the established selection criteria were ultimately included. Thirteen documents meeting the selection criteria were identified, and quality evaluation was independently performed by two researchers using ROBINS-I. The effect size of the action learning-based education program was analyzed using the 'Meta package' in the R program. The effect size for problem-solving was ESr=.68 (95% CI=.30 to 1.06). For communication skills, the effect size was ESr=.39 (95% CI=-.08 to .85), and for critical thinking, the effect size was ESr=.26 (95% CI=.02 to .50). Action learning-based educational programs have been shown to be an effective method for enhancing problem-solving skills and critical thinking among nursing students. Therefore, there is a need for the active implementation of action learning techniques to further develop nursing students' clinical practice capabilities within nursing education.
Individual career development is getting more important in modern society. In this study, we investigated the effects of task difficulty and perceived colleague support to work grit and career identity, which are the most fundamental aspects of career development. To achieve the research goal, a total of 544 complete responses from the employees in South Korea were used for data analysis. The data was analyzed using structural equation modeling. The research results are as follows. First, task difficulty positively affect work grit. Second, perceived colleague support was found to have a statistically significant effect on work grit. Third, the path from task difficulty to career identity was not statistically significant. Fourth, perceived colleague support was shown to have a statistically significant effect on career identity. Fifth, work grit was found to have a statistically significant effect on career identity. Sixth, work grit was found to mediate the relationship between task difficulty, perceived colleague support, and career identity. These findings suggest that work grit plays a crucial mediating role in the impact of task difficulty and perceived colleague support on career identity. This underscores the need for continued in-depth exploration of work grit. Based on these research results, discussions and suggestions are presented.
Bridge lanterns are installed on bridges or piers to signal the presence of these structures on navigational routes and navigable waters, and they fall under the category of light wave signals in Aids to Navigation. In Korea, medium to large bridges installed over major rivers and seas are equipped with bridge lanterns, which are necessary for routes frequented by ships and require periodic inspections on a monthly or multi-month basis. However, most bridge lanterns are mounted externally on bridge railings as fixed or manual rotary supports, posing a high risk of fatal falls during inspections. Furthermore, high -traffic bridges demand quick maintenance works due to complaints about traffic disruption, thus increasing work hazards. Consequently, this study introduced a tailored automatic bridge lantern support concept based on different types of bridge lantern installations, aiming for safe and rapid inspections. Additionally, the study sought to achieve full automation of the bridge lighting system by integrating it with a management program for monitoring and controlling bridge lanterns, utilizing both wired and wireless communication technologies. These findings provide foundational design data for new and refurbished bridges that will be installed in the future.

He reality is that the college life culture of college students is gradually changing as we enter the AI era. In addition, in the aftermath of the MZ generation's employment difficulties and unemployment difficulties, freshmen begin to worry about their future from college entrance. Therefore, it is necessary to design a college life that can lead to employment from a careful plan for an efficient life in college. This study attempted to suggest a direction for college freshmen to find their career direction, starting with self-exploration, and helping them settle down in college life. In addition, a program was developed with a focus on understanding others and communicating human relationships toward fostering communities, starting with self-understanding. Weeks 1 to 5 were composed of getting to know each other, weeks 6 to 10 were made up of me, we, and weeks 11 to 15 were made up of our future. First, a program was developed so that you can understand yourself and plan your own career path based on this, present your own vision, and specify your future to draw a blueprint.We expect that the research results will contribute to the maturation of career attitudes of students participating in college life planning classes, smooth communication, reduction of school and department dropout rates, and encouragement of satisfaction and pride in school.

The rapidly changing security environment and technological innovations of the 21st century present new challenges to military organizations. Particularly, as the MZ generation, comprised of Millennials (born 1981-1996) and Generation Z (born 1997-2012), emerges as the primary workforce in the military, traditional military personnel management methods are being called into question. The MZ generation, as digital natives, are technologically proficient, prioritize personal growth and quality of life, and prefer horizontal communication and participation. The purpose of this study is to reestablish talent acquisition and retention strategies for military organizations, considering the characteristics and demands of the MZ generation. To this end, we analyzed advanced talent management techniques from the corporate sector and explored ways to apply them to the unique context of military organizations. Additionally, by examining the current status and challenges of the Korean military, we attempted a balanced approach that considers both global trends and Korea's specific circumstances. The research results suggest various strategies including career development programs, cultural innovation, improvement of reward systems, participatory decision-making, enhancement of digital competencies, and creation of flexible work environments. These strategies are expected to improve the efficiency and competitiveness of military organizations while simultaneously enhancing job satisfaction and organizational commitment among MZ generation service members.
