국가 및 전력회사의 관점에서 열병합발전의 편익산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on Calculation of Combined Heat and Power on Standpoint of Nation and Independent Power Producers)

  • In this paper, the method on calculating benefits of combined heat and power is introduced for standard evaluation in electrical power system. This paper calculates benefits about new national viewpoint and viewpoint of independent power producers and assesses benefits of combined heat and power in Korea and In Seoul national capital area. Benefit costs are composed of avoid cost of centralized generation, line upgrading adjustment, loss adjustment and electrical power trade cost per year in earlier study, in addition trade cost of $CO_2$, construction cost of combined heat and power for accurate calculation. Benefit of combined heat and power is calculated by simulation results of real electrical power system.

  • In the design of combined cycle power plants, the design parameters considered mainly could be changed and added for performance evaluation with change on the design objective and method. Therefore, the design criteria considering the different objectives and type of power plant were needed. Thermodynamic and economic analyses of various types of gas turbine combined cycle power plants with demand on generation of power and heat and carbon capture system from high pressure flue gas have been performed to establish criteria for optimization of power plants.

  • 최근 "전력 예비율" 급감에 대한 해결책으로 양방향 송배전이 가능한 마이크로 그리드로 전환되고 있다. 마이크로 그리드는 소규모 분산전원과 부하로 구성되는데, 분산전원의 대표적인 기술로 가정·건물에 적용하는 소형 열병합 발전시스템이 있다. 본 연구에서 가스 소비량 232.6kW(20만 kcal/h) 이내의 소형 가스엔진 발전시스템의 안전기준을 도출하고 발전 시스템, 냉각시스템, 윤활 시스템, 배기 시스템으로 구분하여 안전기준(안)을 개발하였다. 발전시스템의 경우 필터를 설치하고 가스 누출 및 엔진 회전수나 출력에 이상이 발생할 경우 이를 감지하여 시스템이 정지하도록 하였고, 냉각시스템은 냉각수 부족이나 과열이 발생할 경우 시스템이 정지하도록 규정하였다. 윤활 시스템은 윤활유의 압력과 온도를 모니터링 하고 이상이 발생할 경우 시스템을 정지하도록 하고, 배기 시스템은 국내·외 기준과 부합하여 배기가스 배출 농도 규제 값을 지정하였다. 본 연구 결과를 통해 가스엔진 발전시스템의 안전성을 향상시키고 제품 확산·보급에 이바지할 수 있다고 판단한다.

  • This paper describes the overvoltage through lightning surge analysis on underground system in DC combined distribution systems. It is considered that operating micro grid including distributed generation with smart grid can make possibility of composing new distribution system different from existing one. However, there are many papers about low voltage DC distribution in grids or buildings but not many about replacement or distributing 22.9kV AC distribution system to DC system. Among many research need for DC system development, overvoltage is studied in this paper. Overvoltage is simulated on DC cable when lightning strikes to overhead grounding wire which is installed at the nearest location from power cable section. Analysis as well as modeling is performed in EMTP/ATPDraw. It is evaluated that analysis results can be used to design of DC underground distribution power cable system.

  • Photovoltaic and wind power generation have an advantage of unlimited and unpolluted amount of energy resource. In conventional wind generation systems, since the blade rotates at low speed when the velocity of wind decreases their operations are possible only under limited conditions. Therefore they are in trouble of self-generation without the help of auxiliary generation devices outside. The system driven by the wind force in this paper consists of a generator, an invertor, batteries and sets for power storage with a spring. In this paper, the operation characteristics of system were analyzed through experiments for a trial product.

  • In this paper, novel concept of a photovoltaic(PV) power generation system adding the function of active filter(AF) is proposed. Even PV power generation system can be treated to a harmonics source for the power distribution system, it is necessary that the function of AF system in grid connected PV power generation system. Active Filters intended for harmonic solutions are expending their functions from harmonic compensation of nonlinear loads into harmonic isolation between utilities and consumer, and harmonic damping throughout power distribution system. So, the PV system combined the function of AF system can be usefully applied in power distribution system. Here, the control strategy of PV-AF system is introduced.

  • Recently many efforts have been made to improve the efficiency of design and production of the structures using the automation system. But, this work has been progressed as independent or partial system. And, the study on the integrated system is not sufficient in application for practical problems yet. This paper deals with the fundamental concept of modeling system and application method on structural modeling. At first, the core of the integrated system is a shape modeling system that can represent the geometric and topological information. This system must be designed as an open system to be combined with each independent automation system. The appropriate concept to realize this system on structural modeling is object oriented modeling and this enables to integrate each automation system successfully, This concept was applied to automatic mesh generation. For shape modeling system, half-edge data structure that is being used in solid modeling was modified to handle the plate structure in the plane. And, to generate the triangular meshes, direct node connection method was used. And, as a result, the integrated system that generate the meshes of two dimensional structure automatically was realized. And, programmed by C++, these systems can be combined with other systems easily and have good reusability.

  • A index using generation cost for planning' for representing economical efficiency of generator, However in case of Combined heat and power(CHP) the product is divided in electrical power and steam, so there are no unconditional comparison between general generator and CHP. To calculating the generation cost for planning of CHP, this study using the method that change electrical power and steam into same unit and suggest the comparing system that can compare economical efficiency with other generators.

  • As an electricity industry transforms into a competitive system, an electricity market revolves into a combined market consisting of generation and operating reserve. This paper presents a market model combined by an energy market and an operating reserve market. In a competitive structure, Gencos strive to choose strategic bidding parameters that maximize total profit resulting from an energy market and a reserve market. The primary goal of the paper is to analyze power transactions of generation and operation reserve based on marginal profits and capacity limits at NE(Nash Equilibrium). In case studies, the reserve market and the energy market are compared at the n from the viewpoints of marginal profits, prices and transaction quantities. It is shown that the marginal profit in an energy market is equal to that in a reserve market, and Gencos strategic bidding is greatly influenced by capacity limit.
