The purpose of this study was to analyse the fashion style expressed in women magazine advertisements. The method of this study was used content analysis with 692 samples in women magazines ('Woman Sense', 'Yeosung Dong-A', and 'Jubu Saeng-hwal') which were issued in March, June, September, and December from 1998 to 2002. The data analysis were divided nine elements: 1. silhouette, 2. color, 3. pattern, 4. length of skirt & slacks, 5. adjustment, 6. breadth of collar lapel, 7. shoes, 8. make-up, 9. hair style. The results of this study were as follows: 1. silhouette : The four seasons were expressed in square silhouette. 2. Color : The spring, summer, and winter seasons were expressed in white color, while the fall season was expressed in neutral color. 3. Pattern : The four seasons were expressed in plain pattern. 4. Length of skirt & slacks : The four seasons were expressed in various length. 5. Adjustment : The four seasons were expressed in single button. 6. Breadth of collar lapel : The spring, summer, and winter seasons were expressed in small breadth, while the fall season was expressed in middle breadth. 7. Shoes : The four seasons were expressed in high-heeled shoes. 8. Make-up : The four seasons were expressed in light tone. 9. Hair style : The four seasons were expressed in up-style.

The purpose of this study is to design neckties that are motivated by Christmas symbol images that have been known to public most widely in the basis of Day marketing so as to develop the competitive commodities closed to consumers' emotion in the fashion industry. As a method of this study were to use Adobe Illustrator CS2, which is one of the vector graphic programs, to present the motif design such as Santa Claus, trees, presents and letters among Christmas symbols, and are to apply to neckties by giving a change with striped pattern, all over pattern and one point pattern. The results are as follows; Firstly, Santa Claus image was expressed by color contrast with red and white, which was perceived by red, green and white that are mostly used in Christmas. Secondly, tree images are expressed abstractly with color contrast where red and green are contrasted, and color way change was given for symbol color of Christmas. Third, in the image of gift, the image of share and image of colorfulness were considered for expression by making motifs of three dimensional hexahedron shape. Fourthly, in the image of type, motif was expressed by giving a change in horizontal and vertical writing types.

In this study, an inspection method using a color image is proposed to conduct a real-time inspection of covalent organic framework (COF) films to detect defects, if any. The COF film consists of an upper pattern SR and a lower PI. The proposed system detects the defects of more than 20 ㎛ on the SR surface owing to the characteristics of the pattern, whereas on the PI surface, it detects defects of more than 4 ㎛ by utilizing a micro-optical system. In the existing system, it is difficult for the operator to conduct a full inspection through a high-performance microscope. The proposed inspection algorithm performs the inspection by separating each color component using the color contrast of the pattern on the SR side, and on the PI surface it inspects the bonding state of the mounted chip. As a result, it is possible to confirm the exact location of the defects through the SR and PI surface inspections in the implemented inspection.

This study is aimed to a textile design with a motif of korean endemic plants and a method for printing it in an eco-friendly manner. The floral pattern with the motif of korean endemic plants was designed using Illustrator and Photoshop program. CMYK color, which is the basic color of Digital Textile Printing (DTP), is based on natural dyes, and various colors, achromatic colors and pastel tones are applied. As a result, half-linen and cotton were suitable as a result of designing and applying a floral pattern of a korean special plants. Also, as a result of analyzing the printing effect by colorway and DTP for each material, it was printed uniformly and the washing fastness was good. However, fastness of color change showed low, indicating that a follow-up study was needed. This study contributes to environmental conservation through eco-friendly printing and the korean endemic plants will be interested in people around the world beyond korea.

A standpoint art's style, present-day Western dress was establishing a systematic, theoritical value in sphere of fine art's meaning & it's expression on the modern fashion. For this reason, I selected Impressionism (a broad senes: be included Impressionism, Neo-Impressionism, Post-Impressionism) that was designated 'the revolution of color'. In the previous paper, 1 already discussed about the modern fashion under the influence of the color of Impressionism, from this study, Neo-Impressionism's techniques & it's influence on the modern fashion was investigated. The Impressionists had purposely used uneven brushwork & a vivid palette to transmit the intensity & immediacy of nature, whereas the Neo-Impressionists utilized methodically applied dots, a technique commonly described as Pointillism, to achieve their rationalist goal of eliminating the fugitive & the casual in order to seize a more fundamental reality. Of all them, Seurat had already become interested in the posible analogies between science, music & psychology on the on hand & art on the other, and scientist's books & articles offered a wealth of theoretical support. 1'articulary, it was corroborated that effects of sadness, calm, or happiness could be achieved through manipulation of color & design. The conclusions are as follow: 1. Through the modern fashion, a space between pattern & pattern was reflected unstable balances & harmonies, that, Neo-Impressionist emphasized the distinction between outdoor & subject, between elaborately clothed & nude figures, corresponded to modern fashion's pattern. 2. The modern fashion was presented a small border or band within the pattern itself which colors complemented those of the adjacent pictorial surface and mediated between the painted image & its enclosure.

This study aims to develop knitted ware design to meet desire to express diversity in the modern fashion design so that we designed knitted ware by applying african geometric pattern and color to suggest new knitted ware design. We collect data about african texture pattern through technical books, publications, internet, and preceding research and visit and investigate the African museum. We investigate knitted Jacquard texture through preceding research and collect sample and data which is insufficient in the data source. The conclusions in this study are summarized as follows: First, African textile pattern is formulated with animism based on their religious view of art for a basis and African regards nature like animal and plant as a motive and interprets nature in the so that they can create symbolized geometric features that constitute African texture pattern. Those patterns is composed of extremely geometric figures so that they we fit to apply for color jacquad knit design. Second, color knitted jacquad can be distinguished by knitting method and status of knitting as 7 kinds of techniques such as Nomal, Bird'eye, Floating, Tubular, Ladder's back, Blister, Transfer Jacquard, and as a result of preceding research and knitting texture directly, jacquard technique makes different texture under same condition like consistent spinning rate and same crochet hook. Third, Bird'eye Jacquard used generally to make knitted ware and Ladder's back Jacquard, Tubular Jacquard used to make knitted ware light are fit to apply them to 7GG and 12GG machines. We design a cloak as a outer garment, a coat shaped like one-piece dress and a coat with hood by using Tubular Jacquard which can make thick texture and design a jacket, a skirt and a one-piece dress by using Bird'eye Jacquard. we make a light and flimsy one-piece dress by using Ladder's back Jacquard. Fourth, we apply the contrast of $4{\sim}6$ color and line and the contrast of texture and raw material to jacquard in order to emphasize texture property and visual property.

The objective of this research was to study the optical illusion effect and the difference of image of textile pattern design. This research also tried to show the more useful method to make stimulus by computer simulation and to present quantitative data. For the experiment, 3 design variable were selected from design principal book as follows : size, arrangement and value harmony of motive. Size of motive variable was divided into 3 level so by use of check & dot pattern, arrangement of motive variable was manipulated to vias direction for check pattern and value harmony between motive & base color was classified into similar value harmony and contrasting value harmony. Visual stimuli which same model was wearing each design were created by ENVISION program. This photographs were given to evaluating panels, Then panels compared experiment design by slim effect and evaluated for 5-sementic differential scale expressing clothing image. The results were as follows : 1) There were significant difference is slim effect, clothing image as simplicity and boldness according to size of Motive. 2) Arrangement of motive for check pattern had significant effects on slim , clothing images as activity and attractiveness. 3) Case of low value base color and high value dot color has significant high score on slim effect, activity, attractiveness, boldness and youthful image.

This study investigated the effect of UV-B irradiation on the quality of Pleurotus ostreatus. The changes of vitamin $D_2$ contents, color value and flavor pattern in mushrooms were analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC), chromameter and gas chromatography - surface acoustic wave (GC-SAW) electronic nose. By exposure to UV-B irradiation (0 kj/m$^2$, 10 kj/m$^2$, 20 kj/m$^2$), vitamin $D_2$ content increased from 0 (control) to 48.50 g/g (DM: dry matter, 10 kj/m$^2$) and 61.58 g/g (DM, 20 kj/m$^2$). Although there was no significant difference in L, a, b values among the three groups, flavor changes were detected by GC-SAW electronic nose. The number of peaks increased from 10 in the control group (0 kj/m$^2$), to 14 and 15 for the 10 kj/m$^2$ and 20 kj/m$^2$ groups, respectively. Nevertheless, the changes of flavor pattern were not detrimental to the mushroom quality. These results suggested that UV-B irradiation is an effective method to increase the vitamin $D_2$ content without degrading the quality.

In this paper, we propose an image compression scheme which uses a demosaicking network and a channel-wise decoder in the decoding network. For the demosaicing network, we use as the input a colored mosaiced pattern rather than the well-known Bayer pattern. The use of a colored mosaiced pattern results in the mosaiced image containing a greater amount of information pertaining to the original image. Therefore, it contributes to result in a better color reconstruction. The channel-wise decoder is composed of multiple decoders where each decoder is responsible for each channel in the color image, i.e., the R, G, and B channels. The encoder and decoder are both implemented by wavelet based auto-encoders for better performance. Experimental results verify that the separated channel-wise decoders and the colored mosaic pattern produce a better reconstructed color image than a single decoder. When combining the colored CFA with the multi-decoder, the PSNR metric exhibits an increase of over 2dB for three-times compression and approximately 0.6dB for twelve-times compression compared to the Bayer CFA with a single decoder. Therefore, the compression rate is also increased with the proposed method than with the method using a single decoder on the Bayer patterned mosaic image.

Actually, Cyberpunk is a compound word joined by cybernetics, which was used in control theory, and punk, was symbolized as anti-culture. Today, however, the definition of the term has been extended by various fields, used in many meanings. Therefore, the purpose of this study was to apply the Cyberpunk concepts to understand today　s fashion because understanding of the present fashion is a means to interpret our culture. For this purpose, the phenomenon of Cyberpunk in fashion was subdivided into three factors material, color, and style. The results of the study were as follows : First, the materials used were techno material, special print by computer for future feeling and geometrical pattern, optical pattern to improve visual effects. Second, the colors mainly used were silver, black and white, bright color, and off-color of computer animation to present future-oriented feeling. Third, the general styles used were fit and slim, simple and liner, dualistic style to express future　s image. In conclusion, the phenomena of Cyberpunk in fashion were expressed in material, color and style of fashion. Cyberpunk fashion was evident in T-shirts, sweaters, jackets, or as items of ornamentation such as pins, pendants, belts, and earrings, etc.
