  • Purpose: This study aims to empirically analyze the effect of information sharing on the two dimensions of trust and logistics performance in the relationship between firms in the supply chain. Research design, data and methodology: In this study, information sharing is a variable for information competency of the entire supply chain. Moreover, we classified trust into quantitative and qualitative trust and analyzed the two paths through which information sharing reaches logistics performance. To examine these correlations, we conducted a survey among professionals in supply chain-related departments in South Korea. Based on 350 completed questionnaires, we tested the hypotheses with structural equation modeling using SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. Results: We found that information sharing has a significant positive effect on trust and logistics performance, which is a typical index of supply chain performance. These results show that information itself is considered a partner to a firm's competencies in operating the supply chain and plays a major role in forming the other's competencies and trust for the present and future. Conclusions: As these competencies and trust consequentially affect logistics performance, supply chain managers must pay attention to the importance of information competency and consider ways of promoting it to improve logistics performance across the entire supply chain.

  • In this paper, we analyzed the types of tasks presented in the 'Probability and Statistics' textbooks and how the cognitive competences required to perform the tasks provide students with opportunity-to-learn. To this end, the analysis of the 9 books of the 'Probability and Statistics' test textbooks according to the 2015 revised mathematics curriculum showed that the context-based tasks(CF type, RE type) ranged from 67.5% to 78.0% of the total number of tasks in each textbook, but the ratio of relevant and essential tasks related to real life is from 0.4% to 2.0%, it was found that most of the context-based tasks presented in the textbooks were disguised as real life materials. The cognitive competences of context-based tasks ranged from 29.6% to 50.0% in reproduction category, from 33.8% to 54.3% in connection category, and from 8.8% to 20.0% in reflection category. As a result, there was not enough opportunity-to-learn for students to experience reflective cognitive processes.

  • This study investigated differences in learning styles and learning strategies according to learning factors: major fields, achievements, and grades and differences in learning strategies according to learning styles for college students. Unlike previous studies that analyzed differences focused on the dominant learning style, the learning style was subdivided into a balanced and dominant learning style. In the analysis of the 179 participants in M colleges, it was found that the difference between the learning style and the learning strategy according to the learning factors was not significant. But, there was a significant difference in the use of cognitive strategies according to the learning style in the dimension of information input, and in the use of all strategies according to the information processing style. It was analyzed that active learners had a high level of using cognitive strategies, visual learners had a high level of using external strategies, and balanced learners had a high level of using internal strategies. Based on the results, the training strategies to understand the learning style and to improve the level of use of the learning strategy in the learning competency improvement program was proposed.

  • This study analyzed the difficulties and mathematical modeling knowledge improvement that an elementary school teacher experienced in modifying a mathematics textbook task to a mathematical modeling task. To this end, an elementary school teacher with 10 years of experience participated in teacher-researcher community's repeated discussions and modified the average task in the data and pattern domain of the 5th grade. The results are as followings. First, in the process of task modification, the teacher had difficulties in reflecting reality, setting the appropriate cognitive level of mathematical modeling tasks, and presenting detailed tasks according to the mathematical modeling process. Second, through repeated task modifications, the teacher was able to develop realistic tasks considering the mathematical content knowledge and students' cognitive level, set the cognitive level of the task by adjusting the complexity and openness of the task, and present detailed tasks through thought experiments on students' task-solving process, which shows that teachers' mathematical modeling knowledge, including the concept of mathematical modeling and the characteristics of the mathematical modeling task, has improved. The findings of this study suggest that, in terms of the mathematical modeling teacher education, it is necessary to provide teachers with opportunities to improve their mathematical modeling task development competency through textbook task modification rather than direct provision of mathematical modeling tasks, experience mathematical modeling theory and practice together, and participate in teacher-researcher communities.

  • Purpose: This study aimed to identify the influence of learning presence and self-directed learning ability on nursing students' learning satisfaction according to the online learning method. Methods: The participants of this study were 167 nursing students attending three universities in different cities. The data were collected from July 16 to July 23, 2021, via an online self-reported questionnaire. Using SPSS WIN 27.0, data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and a multiple regression analysis. Results: The most effective online learning method experienced by nursing students was asynchronous online learning according to 58.2% of the respondents, while 30.3% of the respondents answered synchronous online learning. The main merit of asynchronous online learning was that it was possible to listen repeatedly (61.7%) to lectures, and the top advantage of synchronous online learning was that the location of the class was free (53.3%). In asynchronous online learning, the factors that significantly affected nursing students' learning satisfaction were cognitive presence (𝛽=.60, p<.001) and emotional presence (𝛽=.25, p<.001). These variables accounted for 56% of their learning satisfaction (F=54.12, p<.001). Similarly, cognitive presence (𝛽=.64, p<.001) and emotional presence (𝛽=.21, p=.001) in synchronous online learning, were the factors cited for significantly affecting learning satisfaction. The explanatory power was 62% (F=69.19, p<.001). Conclusions: In conclusion, it was found that cognitive and social presence from the learning presence factors in both asynchronous and synchronous online learning influence and enhance nursing students' learning satisfaction. Therefore, these results provide important data for future online class design in nursing education.
