Due to the fast changing social and physical environment, the clothing behaviour of elementary school students should have been changed. Since previous research was completed a long time ago, new research must be conducted to understand the relationships of the clothing behaviour of elementary school students in terms of the time of research, gender and grades. Third and sixth grades in Susan were sampled in 2002; the secondary data in 1988 was used. Factor analysis and Lisrel's group analysis were conducted. The results indicated as follows: 1. As there was an increased interest in clothes, the comfort of the clothes was decreased at the higher grades in 1988, and the low and high grades in 2002, and the clothes of boys in high grade increased in the manageability in 2002, but nor with boy students in the low grade neither all types of students in 1988. 2. As there was an increased manageability in clothes, all types of girl students became more independence in choosing their own clothes. However, boy students in the low and high grades only increased their independence in choosing their own clothes in 1988. 3. As there was an increased comfort of clothes, there was not a significant relationship with the independence of students for choosing their clothes concerning the gender, the grades and the period of research. 4. As there was an increased interest in clothes, the low grade girl and boy students in 1988 increased in their independence in choosing their clothes. However, the high grade boy students in 1988 significantly decreased their independence. Thus there are different results in the clothing behavior in the elementary school student concerning the time of study, gender and grades.
This study, focused on reuse of the concepts of unused clothing recycling, was intended to provide basic materials and suggestions for establishing the drastic measures necessary for consumer education related to recycling by investigating how experiences in the recycling of unused clothes would show up according to environmental consciousness and recycling consciousness and then probing the scheme for the recycling of clothes. Since it was found that recycling consciousness was the variable that exerted a great effect on experiences in recycling unused clothes, consumer education about recycling will have to be revitalized. And detailed and specialized education on environmental consciousness is more important than emphasis on the importance of environmental consciousness.
A rapidly aging Korean population highlights the importance of investigating the actual state and needs of clothing for the elderly to provide basic information for a future senior industry. This paper surveyed clothing purchasing behaviors. The sample of this survey consisted of 210 females aged 55 over who live in Dajeoun and Nonsan. The data were analyzed by using SPSS. The major findings are as follows. First, most elderly women have bought the ready-made clothes in local markets. Second, the major consideration of clothing purchasing behavior was the possibility of outdoor wearing and color. They were satisfied with ready-made clothes because of the convenience to buy, design, and the necessity of the clothing brands for aged people. Third, they preferred pure cotton or mixed cotton even though they possessed the mixed cotton or synthetic fiber in clothing materials. Respondents preferred the feeling, heat-retaining property, and absorptiveness in textiles. The result indicates the demand for various material applications of functional textiles for elderly women.
Purchasing behavior of brand clothes in internet shopping mall is largely used on the purpose of having a good quality of clothing, price advantage and shopping efficiency. This study aims to find out consumer's evaluation on the properties of brand clothes in internet shopping mall according to consumer's brand attitude(brand identification and brand pursue value). The influences consumers' evaluation of the properties of brand clothes on the purchase satisfaction and off-line brand image evaluation were also investigated. This study surveyed male and female consumers in their 20s~40s for empirical analysis in August 2011 who have purchased brand clothing through internet shopping malls. The survey was conducted on 254 subjects who were selected through online convenience sampling. Data were analyzed by using SPSS for Windows 12.0, and descriptive statistics, reliability analysis, factor analysis, and regression analysis were done as well. The results are as follows. First, it was identified that consumers' brand identification and brand pursue value had significant influence on the evaluation of physical, functional, and expressional product properties. Second, it was identified that consumers' evaluation on the brand clothing properties significantly influenced on internet purchase satisfaction and brand image evaluation. Especially, expressive property of brand clothes appeared to be the most influential factor on purchase satisfaction and brand image evaluation. The results of this study will help clothing companies with prestigious brand names to administer the product qualities with differentiation policy from off-line sales and satisfy the consumer needs in internet shopping, hence enhancing the brand image of the company.
This research subdivided the groups of baby clothes purchasers by consumer value factors in order to study clothing behavior by the value group of baby clothes purchasers and to examine differences in shopping propensity, pursuit benefits, evaluation criteria, and utilization of information sources depending on the value groups 1. A total of three factors - the pursuit of a stable life, the pursuit of achievement, and the pursuit of pleasure - were derived by conducting a factor analysis on the value dimensions of baby clothes purchasers. The value types of baby clothes purchasers were classified into three groups - the group of the pursuit of achievement, the group of the pursuit of stability and pleasure, and the passive group as the result of conducting cluster analysis on the basis of three types of personal value factors. 2. In the difference of shopping propensity by the value group, the group of the pursuit of achievement and the group of the pursuit of stability and pleasure were found to be the group having economical shopping propensity. In the difference of pursuit benefits by the value group, the passive group appeared to be the group in pursuit of fashion, and it could be seen that the group of the pursuit of achievement and the group of the pursuit of stability and pleasure were highly interested in the pursuit of individuality and practicality. 3. In the evaluation criteria of clothes by the value group of baby clothes purchasers, the group of the pursuit of achievement was found to consider physical criteria as important evaluation criteria, and the group of the pursuit of stability and pleasure was found to consider aesthetic criteria as important evaluation criteria. In the utilization of information sources by the value group of baby clothes purchasers, the passive group was found to be influenced most by market-oriented information sources.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the middle school and high school student's environmental consciousness and clothing behavior for environmental protection in their home, and to present the basic educational material for the reasonable clothing behavior which could help the environmental problems. This study was done by self-administered questionaires to the 439 middle school and high school students, and done from March to April in 1997. Frequencies, percentages, mean, and standard deviation were calculated. $\chi$$^2$-test, t-test, and F-test were done for group differences, and Duncan's multiple range test was followed. The results of this study were as follows ; 1. Environmental consciousness was higher at the middle school students, at good graded students, and at the good news receivers who watch or listen to the mass media frequently. And also environmental consciousness was higher at the students who separate and dispose waste practically and at those who realize the need of environmental education. 2. Those who purchase clothes reasonably in their home, practising the clothing behavior for environmental protection, were the middle school students, and the students sho watch or listen news frequently through the mass media. And those who manage clothes well in their home were the middle school students, metropolitan area residents, good news receivers, and residents in apartments. Those who separate and dispose waste well, those who have experienced much environmental education, those who know better the environmental protection marks which are attatched to the low pollution products and those who realize the need of environmental education seriously, were almost the same students who buy and manage clothes reasonably in their home, practising the clothing behavior for the environmental protection. And those who feel much more environmental education seriously were those who reuse clothes practically in their home. 3. As the students had the higher environmental consciousness level, the better they practised the clothing behavior for environmental protection in their home. The major sources of the students'knowledge and information about environment were from the mass medea, and then from school teachers.
China adopted a free market economy and is a member of WTO. It has now emerged as one of the most promising markets in the word for the near future. The purpose of this study was to investigate of Chinese women clothing behavior and preference of clothing design by body types and to suggest basic information for high quality clothes merchandising of exporting to China. The subjects in this study were 280 Chinese women, aged from 20 to 50 living in Beijing. The survey was taken from June to July, 1999. SAS(Statistical Analysis System) is used for frequency, percentage, average, standard deviation, $\chi$$^2$-test, factor analysis. The results of this study are as follows. Ewamination on the Chinese womens clothing behavior showed that they attach importance to economy for purchasing clothes and have affirmative self-confidence. The thin body type women prefer to fashionable clothes while the fat body type has more reasonable economic behavior for clothing. It is needed to different merchandising project by body type in China..
Many researchers have focused on consumers' clothes purchase behavior, These researches could not reflect the characteristics of the single consumers' clothes purchase behavior. In addition, little has been written on the single consumer. The purposes of this study are to identify the concept and psychologic characteristics of single consumer and investigate the effects of single consumers' psychologic characteristic and susceptibility to interpersonal influence on clothes shopping pursuing value. Also, It was analyzed how single consumer' pursuing values are different based on the type of single motivation. To test research problems, Data were collected by means of a survey questionnaire, which was sent to 300 single in Pusan and Ulsan. In total, 274 were returned and 14 were unusable because of unacceptable levels of missing data. The Results were summarized as follows: First, self-efficacy, informative and normative influence were positively related to utilitarian pursuing value employee satisfaction. Also, self-efficacy, variety seeking, innovativeness and informative influence had a positive effect on hedonic pursuing value. Second, voluntary single and nonvoluntary single group had different perceptions about self-efficacy, variety seeking, innovativeness, informative influence, and hedonic pursuing value.

When parents and their children wear matching clothes, ranging from one item to the entire wardrobe, we call this the "family look." The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that influence family look clothes consumption. It was proposed that mothers' familism tendencies, playfulness, and demographic characteristics were the main factors that decided the extent of the purchase and usage of family look clothes. A survey was conducted between September 23 and 29, 2013 with mothers who have purchased and wore family look clothes. The age of the women ranged from 20s to 40s. The results showed that the number of family look items is influenced by mothers' familism tendencies and playfulness. Also the favorite family look style depended on the familism tendency, playfulness, and the age of the child(ren). The results of this study are expected to provide implications to apparel companies that produce family looks.
