Objectives : About 13% of the medicines used by traditional korean medicines(TKM), are called animal medicines and are derived from non-herbal sources such as animals and insects. However, the clinical use of these preparations from animal medicines is often based on tradition and belief, rather than on evidence of toxicity and efficacy. As a result, animal medicines containing toxin have caused serious problems from injecting patients with venom. Here, various venoms frequently used as TKM were reviewed in terms of their instinct toxity and tried to estimate their safety classification. Methods : The estimation of safety classification was based on human equivalent dose(HED)-based MOS (margin of safety) and clinical dose applied for patients. Results and Conclusions : Except that of snake venom due to no clinical dose, they were evaluated as class 3 for bee venom, class 4 for cantharidin, toxin from blister beetle, and class 1 for venom from scolopendrid. In conclusion, animal medicines showed a wide range of safety classification from class 1 to class 4. This wide range is estimated to result from extremely limited applications of each venom for patients because of their strong toxicity. However, it should be cautious for application in clinics since animal medicines can produce anaphylactic reactions particularly after veinous administration even with a tiny amount of venom.

DNA computing-inspired pattern classification based on the hypernetwork model is a novel approach to pattern classification problems. The hypernetwork model has been shown to be a powerful tool for multi-class data analysis. However, the ordinary hypernetwork model has limitations, such as operating sequentially only. In this paper, we propose a efficient implementing method of DNA computing-inspired pattern classifier using GPU. We show simulation results of multi-class pattern classification from hand-written digit data, DNA microarray data and 8 category scene data for performance evaluation. and we also compare of operation time of the proposed DNA computing-inspired pattern classifier on each operating environments such as CPU and GPU. Experiment results show competitive diagnosis results over other conventional machine learning algorithms. We could confirm the proposed DNA computing-inspired pattern classifier, designed on GPU using CUDA platform, which is suitable for multi-class data classification. And its operating speed is fast enough to comply point-of-care diagnostic purpose and real-time scene categorization and hand-written digit data classification.

We consider an online selective-sample learning problem for sequence classification, where the goal is to learn a predictive model using a stream of data samples whose class labels can be selectively queried by the algorithm. Given that there is a limit to the total number of queries permitted, the key issue is choosing the most informative and salient samples for their class labels to be queried. Recently, several aggressive selective-sample algorithms have been proposed under a linear model for static (non-sequential) binary classification. We extend the idea to hidden Markov models for multi-class sequence classification by introducing reasonable measures for the novelty and prediction confidence of the incoming sample with respect to the current model, on which the query decision is based. For several sequence classification datasets/tasks in online learning setups, we demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
A research on agricultural automation is a main issues to overcome the shortage of labor in Korea. A sweet persimmon farmers need much time and labors for classifying profitable sweet persimmon and ill profitable products. In this paper, we propose a mixed two-step synthetic neural network model for efficiently classifying sweet persimmon images. In this model, we suggested a surface direction classification model and a quality screening model which constructed from image data sets. Also we studied Class Activation Mapping(CAM) for visualization to easily inspect the quality of the classified products. The proposed mixed two-step model showed high performance compared to the simple binary classification model and the multi-class classification model, and it was possible to easily identify the weak parts of the classification in a dataset.

It was few to the integrated information classification system In domestic construction. Furthermore, it became considerable obstacles to hamper the increase of national competitiveness as well the hoarding of information and overlapped investment. The standardization of information classification is also necessary prior to the Computer-Integrated Construction, CALS(Continuous Acquisition & Life-cycle Support/Electronic Commerce) in construction, EVMS(Earned Value Management System) and the various projects which manipulate construction information. Therefore, this report suggests the development direction and application proposal of Integrated Construction Information Classification.
This study proposes a fuzzy classification using EM algorithm. For cluster validation, this approach iteratively estimates the class-parameters in the fuzzy training for the sample classes and continuously computes the log-likelihood ratio of two consecutive class-numbers. The maximum ratio rule is applied to determine the optimal number of classes.

Classification or prediction problem is how to solve it using a specific feature to obtain the predicted class. A wheat seeds specifications 4 3 classes of seeds will be used in a prediction process. A multi linear regression will be built, and a prediction error ratio will be calculated. To enhance the prediction ratio an ANN model will be built and trained. The obtained results will be examined to show how to make a prediction tool capable to compute a predicted class number very close to the target class number.
UML class diagrams are used to visualize the static aspects of a software system and are involved from analysis and design to documentation and testing. Software modeling using class diagrams is essential for software development, but it may be not an easy activity for inexperienced modelers. The modeling productivity could be improved with a dataset of class diagrams which are classified by domain categories. To this end, this paper provides a classification method for a dataset of class diagram images. First, real class diagrams are selected from collected images. Then, class names are extracted from the real class diagram images and the class diagram images are classified according to domain categories. The proposed classification model has achieved 100.00%, 95.59%, 97.74%, and 97.77% in precision, recall, F1-score, and accuracy, respectively. The accuracy scores for the domain categorization are distributed between 81.1% and 95.2%. Although the number of class diagram images in the experiment is not large enough, the experimental results indicate that it is worth considering the proposed approach to class diagram image classification.
A fuzzy approach using an EM algorithm for image classification is presented. In this study, a double compound stochastic image process is assumed to combine a discrete-valued field for region-class processes and a continuous random field for observed intensity processes. The Markov random field is employed to characterize the geophysical connectedness of a digital image structure. The fuzzy classification is an EM iterative approach based on mixture probability distribution. Under the assumption of the double compound process, given an initial class map, this approach iteratively computes the fuzzy membership vectors in the E-step and the estimates of class-related parameters in the M-step. In the experiments with remotely sensed data, the MRF-based method yielded a spatially smooth class-map with more distinctive configuration of the classes than the non-MRF approach.
Multi-object tracking (MOT) is a vital component in understanding the surrounding environments. Previous research has demonstrated that MOT can successfully detect and track surrounding objects. Nonetheless, inaccurate classification of the tracking objects remains a challenge that needs to be solved. When an object approaching from a distance is recognized, not only detection and tracking but also classification to determine the level of risk must be performed. However, considering the erroneous classification results obtained from the detection as the track class can lead to performance degradation problems. In this paper, we discuss the limitations of classification in tracking under the classification uncertainty of the detector. To address this problem, a class update module is proposed, which leverages the class uncertainty estimation of the detector to mitigate the classification error of the tracker. We evaluated our approach on the VisDrone-MOT2021 dataset, which includes multi-class and uncertain far-distance object tracking. We show that our method has low certainty at a distant object, and quickly classifies the class as the object approaches and the level of certainty increases. In this manner, our method outperforms previous approaches across different detectors. In particular, the You Only Look Once (YOLO)v8 detector shows a notable enhancement of 4.33 multi-object tracking accuracy (MOTA) in comparison to the previous state-of-the-art method. This intuitive insight improves MOT to track approaching objects from a distance and quickly classify them.
