Purpose: The purpose of the study was to determine the general characteristics of students in dental technology departments; the correlations among their immersion in learning, class satisfaction, and academic achievement; factors influencing online learning experience; ways to improve students' class satisfaction; and basic data for designing effective online courses. Methods: A total of 300 questionnaires were produced and distributed to dental technology students from September 29 through October 8, 2020. The outcome was analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics ver. 25.0. A significance level of α=0.05 was used for reliable verification. Results: Immersion in learning, class satisfaction, and academic achievement were relatively high among students who studied on a regular basis, and class satisfaction and academic achievement were relatively high among students who studied with almost no interruption. Concerning the correlations between academic achievement, immersion in learning, and class satisfaction in online learning, the correlation between academic achievement and class satisfaction was the highest at r=0.862. Class satisfaction was the largest factor that influenced academic achievement, and the higher students' immersion in learning and class satisfaction were, the higher their academic achievement was. Conclusion: The research is a case study that investigated the general characteristics of dental technology department students and the correlations among their immersion in learning, class satisfaction, and academic achievement. The study outcome could be used in determining factors that influence online learning and designing effective online courses that improve learner satisfaction.

학급 홈페이지는 온라인 커뮤니티와 사이버 공간의 부정적 측면을 어느 정도 자연스럽게 해소할 수 있으며, 학생들에게 온라인 커뮤니티에 대한 연습의 장으로, 교사와 동료 학생, 부모님과의 의사교환의 장으로, 학습의 장으로 활용될 수 있다. 그러나 상업적 온라인 커뮤니티에 비해 몰입 요소가 부족하여 쉽게 식상해 하곤 한다. 따라서 학급 홈페이지의 구축 목적을 충분히 도달하기 위해서는 몰입 요소가 필요하며, 이러한 몰입 요소로 아바타를 활용하는 것도 한 가지 방법이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 아바타가 학급 홈페이지 몰입 및 초등학생의 사이버 자아에 미치는 영향에 관하여 연구하였으며, 학급 홈페이지의 구축 목적을 달성하기 위한 몰입 요소로서 아바타가 충분히 작용할 수 있다는 것과 아바타의 활용이 초등학생들의 긍정적 사이버 자아 형성에 도움을 줄 수 있다는 것을 발견할 수 있었다.

We observed the symptoms that occur to students who dislike mathematics when they study mathematics and the data that mathematics is related to foreign language. This study investigated the relation between mathematics and foreign language. Continuous immersion aids not only in acquiring language but also in learning mathematics. For continuous immersion, it is essential to organize small class. We organized small class and compared large class with small class about how the relation between mathematics and language appears in achievement, rate of presence, rate of submission of report, and attitude and enthusiasm. Based on the result, we try to find out the way to increase understanding mathematics and level up the achievements.

한 학기 동안, 영어를 사용한 대학 수학 과목 강의를 하여 수강한 학생의 강의된 내용 및 영어 습득 정도를 측정하였다. 9주 간격을 두고 사전 및 사후 시험을 치른 결과 수학 강의 내용면에서, 영어로 강의한 반이 우리말로 강의한 반에 비하여 많은 학습을 이루었음을 알 수 있었다. 특히, 영어로 강의한 반 학생들은 실험에서 사용된 수학 시험문제 가운데 어려운 문제에서 큰 진보를 보였다. 또한 영어로 강의한 반의 학생들의 수학 관련 영어는 향상된 반면 일반적 영어는 향상을 보이지 않았다. 본 논문은 이러한 결과를 통하여 영어로 된 수학 표현을 이해하고 제대로 사용하는 능력이 영어로 된 수학적 지식 습득의 일부분이며 따라서 교과 내용의 습득과 불가분의 관계임을 시사한다.

The purpose of this study is to understand the influence of the professor's image making (internal, external, social image) perceived by college students on instructional outcomes. The influence of the professor's image making on class satisfaction and class commitment was analyzed, and the mediating effect of class satisfaction and the relationship between class satisfaction and class commitment in the relationship between image making and class commitment was considered. First, it was found that the external image and social image of the professor had a significant effect on class satisfaction. The level of interpersonal relations, such as communication, manners, manners, and intimacy as well as the management of external expressions, clothing style, makeup, hair, gestures, postures, attitudes, voices, speech, and speech speed brings satisfaction to the class. Second, it was found that the professor's inner image, outer image, and social image had a significant effect on class commitment. In order to satisfy the students' immersion in class, professors are required to manage internal, external, and social images. Third, it was found that class satisfaction had a significant effect on class commitment. If the class satisfaction is high, it means that class immersion also increases. Fourth, as for the social image of a professor, it was found that class satisfaction had a completely mediating effect in the relationship between class commitment, and the external image of a professor was found to have a partial mediating effect in class satisfaction in the relationship between class commitment. It was found that the social image of professors perceived by college students improve class satisfaction, and this improves class satisfaction further enhances class immersion.

The present study has sought to explore the critical issues of English immersion education through the voices of the four elementary teachers who have recently taught at immersion programs under the guidance of Busan Metropolitan City Office of Education. The interview data with three teachers and the teaching journals of one teacher were analyzed and categorized into two emergent themes: (1) current difficulties in the immersion programs and (2) possible problems with the implementations of immersion programs in all public schools. Specifically, the first issue included teachers' inadequate teaching skills for immersion programs, accumulated learning losses, and lack of immersion class hours. The second issue included workload imposed on immersion program teachers, promotion of private education, learning losses of other subjects, and administration for show. Finally, pedagogical implications are suggested.

본 연구는 대학의 전산회계수업에 영향을 주는 다양한 요인 중에 전산회계 프로그램, 학교의 교육환경, 교수의 교육과정 및 기법, 학생의 자기효능감 등이 이를 반영하는 효과적인 수업만족도, 수업성과, 수업몰입으로 나타나는지에 대해 알아보고자 하였다. 연구결과, 첫째, 수업영향요인과 수업만족도 간의 관계에서는 교수, 학생 및 학교의 교육환경이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 수업영향요인과 수업성과 간의 관계에서 교수 및 학생이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 학교의 교육환경과 프로그램은 수업성과에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 확인되었다. 셋째, 수업영향요인과 수업몰입 간의 관계에서는 학교의 교육환경, 학생은 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으나, 프로그램과 교수는 수업몰입에 영향을 미치지 않는 것으로 확인되었다.

본 연구는 COVID-19 유행으로 온택 학습상황에서 교수제작 동영상 수업과 실시간 화상수업에 따른 수업의 질, 학습몰입, 학업성취도의 수준과 학업성취도에 미치는 요인을 확인하기 위해 시도되었다. 연구대상은 2개의 대학에서 간호학과에 재학중인 학생 122명을 대상으로 하였다. 연구결과 수업의 질은 실시간 수업에서 높았고(t=-2.69, P=0.02), 학습몰입은 동영상 수업에서(t=-1.14, P=0.28), 학업성취도는 동영상 수업에서 높은 것으로 나타났다 (t=4.24, P=0.01). 수업유형에 따라 학업성취도에 미치는 영향요인은 교수제작 동영상 수업에서는 학습몰입(β=.37, p<.001)이, 실시간 화상 수업에서는 수업의 질(β=.29, p<.001)이 학업성취도에 가장 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 온택 환경에서 학업성취도를 향상 시키기 위해 수업유형에 적합한 교수-학습설계의 전략개발이 필요함을 제언한다.

Purpose: The study aimed to identify factors that affect college students' learning immersion in non-face-to-face remote classes. Methods: During COVID-19, a survey was conducted on 140 college students who were taking non-face-to-face remote courses at universities located in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, and Chungcheong-do, Korea. Data were analyzed using the Pearson correlation coefficients, Independent t-test, ANOVA, and Hierarchial stepwise multiple regression with SPSS (Windows version 27.0). Results: In the study, the most important variable influencing learning immersion was the student's self-efficacy, followed by instructor presence, class participation, lecture satisfaction, and credits. Conclusion: Instructors who teach major courses at college need to develop and apply ways to enhance learners' self-efficacy and class content that can boost learners' motivation in order to maximize learners' learning immersion. In order to facilitate learners' access to online media and maintain their interest in remote classes, passionate efforts need to be made by active instructors.

The purpose of this study is to measure how English immersion classes affect students. This study seeks to answer two questions. First, will the young learners gain an international sense? Second, will the students learn English naturally without having to be sent abroad to an English speaking country? Several kinds of immersion programs have been designed and implemented in Korea. However, many students have felt great stress and mental pressure in the immersion programs. Students find the programs stressful because English must be used at all times. In this paper, two groups of elementary school students are compared: one being the control group and the other being the experimental group, an immersion class. The results show that the mental health problems, sensitivities, and rates of depression in the immersion group are greater than those of the students in the control group. Therefore, the immersion students' overall mental health is substandard. The negative effects of lethargy and depression are made worse when they are placed in English only environments. The results indicate more attention should be focused on respecting and understanding the students' overall mental health when teaching them English.
