  • This article includes hydrometeorological analysis of evapotranspiration and precipitation, which are used available basic data for a certain basin water budget. Evapotranspiration on water surface, bare soil and rice fields is directly measured by Thornthwaite's type Lysimeter and on water surface and vegetables computed using the Penman's equation. Areal precipitation is analized through the Thiessen method and arithmatic mean method. It is interested fact that the correlation coefficient for Class A Pan's evaporation vs. the actual evapotranspiration is the highest value among the coefficients for different type evaporimeter and Penman equation, and evaporation ratio on rice field's evapotranspiration vs. Class A Pan's evaporation is 1. 5-2. 3.

A Comparative Study on the Field Independence Cognitive Styles of Gifted and Normal Children (영재와 평재의 인지양식 비교 연구)

  • A group of 84 young children were administered the Preschool embedded Figures Test(PEFT). A three way analysis of variance was performed utilizing giftedness (gifted, normal), gender, and year(4 year-old class, 5 year-old class) as independent variables. The giftedness main effect was statistically significant. Gifted children were more effect not year main effect were statistically significant. The interaction effects between giftedness and gender, between giftedness and year, between gender and year were not significant either.

Characteristic of the Class Library for Embedded Java System (내장형 자바 시스템을 위한 클래스 라이브러리의 특성)

  • Class library is one of the most crucial element of Java runtime environment in addition to Java virtual machine. In particular, embedded Java system depends heavily on the class library due to having a low bandwidth communication link and a small amount of memory which are a common restriction of embedded system. It is therefore quite necessary to find the characteristic of the class library for embedded Java system to build an efficient Java runtime environment. In this paper we have analyzed the characteristic of the class library for embedded system. The analysis includes sorts of classes in the library, typical size of the file which contains the class, and the composition of constant pool which is a major part of the file. We also have found typical number of field and method a class contains, the sizes of stack and local variable array each method requires, and the length of bytecode in the method. The result of this study can be used to estimate the startup time for class loading and the size of memory to create an instance of class which are a mandatory information to design an efficient embedded Java virtual machine.

  • The purpose of this study was to present the case of class operation by paralleling a general instructor's lecture class and a IC-PBL class in a fashion design major course and comparing the educational effects. The teaching model of this study was designed to improve the ability to use the knowledge gained in accordance with the needs of the industrial field and to develop an independent learning ability. It will provide meaningful data. This study measured and considered the qualitative items of self-efficacy and changes in class perception through interviews and questionnaires completed by the learners after experiencing each general class and IC-PBL class. The results of this study are, first, that in the History of Fashion and Costume class, the general teaching method and the IC-PBL teaching method were applied in parallel to design a class, and a method case was presented. Second, as a result of comparing the educational effects of the two teaching methods through a student questionnaire, IC-PBL was more effective in improving learning attitude, learning achievement and self-efficacy. In addition, after the IC-PBL class on History of Fashion and Costume, the students' negative perception of team activities improved, and the students' cooperative ability and creativity improved.

  • In designing three phase enclosure type EHV class gas insulated bus (GIB), it is essential to estimate the magnitude and the position where the maximum electric field strength occur. The improvement of insulation design can only be initiated after those informations have been obtained. In this paper, the calculated electric field strength for three phase GIB of HICO 362kV 63kA GIS is presented. The result shows that the designed insulator has enough margin compared with the design criteria.
