  • In the study, we confirmed morphological traits and calculated the Risk Class of 25 mould species, including Tyromyces palustris, through decomposition rate of substrate for characteristic confirmation of injured microorganisms. We received the injured microorganisms in wood and it was pure cultivated. We observed growth traits and decomposition rate of substrate. Also, it allows the calculation of Risk Class to be worried in the case of growth in wooden cultural properties. As a result, Tyromyces palustris, representative of brown-rot, has the characteristics about decomposition rate of substrate - Cellulose ; more active(+++), Lignin ; more active(+++), Xylan ; more active(+++), Starch ; active(++). We classified Tyromcyes palustris as a first Risk Class and as a second Risk Class about Schizophyllum commune et al(9 species, See table 1. We look forward to offering standard data base for evaluating Risk Class as a matter of applying preventive conservation in wooden cultural properties through our study.

  • More elaborated methods allowing the usage of binary classifiers for the resolution of multi-class classification problems are briefly presented. This way of using FSVC to learn a K-class classification problem consists in choosing the maximum applied to the outputs of K FSVC solving a one-per-class decomposition of the general problem.

  • We present two decomposition approximations for the mean sojourn times in open single class queing networks. If there is a single bottleneck station, the approximations are asymptotically exact in both light and heavy traffic. When applied to a Jackson network or an M/G/1 queue, these approximations are exact for all values of the traffic intensity.

  • This note centers around the class M(A) of multipliers on a Gelfand algebra A. This class is a large subalgebra of the Banach algebra L(A). The aim of this note is to investigate some aspects concerning their local spectral properties of multipliers. In the last part of work we consider some applications to automatic continuity theory.

  • Coarse woody debris (CWD, $\ge$ 5 cm in maximum diameter) is an important functional component, especially to nutrient cycling in forest ecosystems. To compare mass and nutrient dynamics of CWD in natural oak forests, a two-year study was conducted at Quercus serrata and Q. variabilis stands in Yangpyeong, Kyonggi Province. Total CWD (snag, stump, log and large branch) and annual decomposition mass (Mg/ha) were 1.9 and 0.4 for the Q. serrata stand and 7.5 and 0.5 for the Q. variabilis stand, respectively. Snags covered 72% of total CWD mass for the Q. variabilis stand and 42% for the Q. serrata stand. Most of CWD was classified into decay class 1 for both stands. CWD N and P concentrations for the Q. variabilis stand significantly increased along decay class and sampling time, except for P concentration in 2002. There were no differences in CWD N concentration for the Q. serrata stand along decay class and sampling time. However, CWD P concentration decreased along sampling time. CWD N and P contents (kg/ha) ranged from 3.5∼4.7 and 0.8∼1.3 for the Q. serrata stand to 22.8∼23.6 and 3.7∼4.7 for the Q. variabilis stand. Nitrogen and P inputs (kg/ha/yr) into mineral soil through the CWD decomposition were 0.7 and 0.3 for the Q. serrata stand and 1.6 and 0.3 for the Q. variabilis stand, respectively. The number of CWD and decay rate were main factors influencing the difference in CWD mass and nutrient dynamics between both stands.

  • A quadratic regulator problem for a class of nonlinear system, in which a small parameter multiplies the control cost, is considered. In the analysis of the problem, we utilize the method of multiple time-scale decomposition which has been devised for analyzing complex linear cheap control problems. In so doing, we extend the class of nonlinear systems, considerably, for which the minimum cost becomes zero as the small parameter goes to zero.

  • In this paper, semi-infinite constrained programming, a class of constrained nonsmooth optimization problems, are transformed into unconstrained nonsmooth convex programs under the help of exact penalty function. The unconstrained objective function which owns the primal-dual gradient structure has connection with $\mathcal{VU}$-space decomposition. Then a $\mathcal{VU}$-space decomposition method can be applied for solving this unconstrained programs. Finally, the superlinear convergence algorithm is proved under certain assumption.

  • A simple proof for the random central limit theorem is given for a family of stationary linear lattice processes, which belogn to a class of 2 dimensional random fields, applying the Beveridge and Nelson decomposition in time series context. The result is an extension of Fakhre-Zakeri and Fershidi (1993) dealing with the linear process in time series to the case of the linear lattice process with 2 dimensional indices.
