In the inner turn key constructions the problems of uniform types are repeatedly occurred, and, especially, many problems happen up to the stage of pre-construction(from a bid to a contract) owing to the specialties of the turn key constructions. So the claim factors of the Korean turn key constructions were abstracted through the literature searches, the site document examinations, the case studies and the interviews with the experts. When the technicians meeting the interior turn key constructions for the first time and working here now are well acquainted with only these factors, many claims will be prevented. By analysing the degree of claims by claims factors through the questionnaires to the experts about the abstracted factors and surveying the amount of the claims through the case studies, what factors exerted how much of influence on the claims was tested and analyzed. Proposing the response devices to the factors affecting the claims much led the technicians in charge of internal turn key constructions to the prevention and the proper solution of the site claims.

The disputes in construction projects are very important issue for stakeholders. However, many of presented claims have not received the compensation money required, and frequently turned down. The most cause is that the claims are not managed systemically on construction. Therefore, it is important to identify which management works are conducted on construction and how significantly do they relevant to construction claim. This research derives key claim management factors through analyzing causes for claim success and failure, and then presents management works relevant to them. This research also proposes the method for effective claim management and its expected effect through expert interview.

Purpose - This is an exploratory study that aims to apply text mining techniques, which computationally extracts words from the large-scale text data, to legal documents to quantify trade claim contents and enables statistical analysis. Design/methodology - This is designed to verify the validity of the application of text mining techniques as a quantitative methodology for trade claim studies, that have relied mainly on a qualitative approach. The subjects are 81 cases of arbitration and court judgments from China published on the website of the UNCITRAL where the CISG was applied. Validation is performed by comparing the manually analyzed result with the automatically analyzed result. The manual analysis result is the cluster analysis wherein the researcher reads and codes the case. The automatic analysis result is an analysis applying text mining techniques to the result of the cluster analysis. Topic modeling and semantic network analysis are applied for the statistical approach. Findings - Results show that the results of cluster analysis and text mining results are consistent with each other and the internal validity is confirmed. And the degree centrality of words that play a key role in the topic is high as the between centrality of words that are useful for grasping the topic and the eigenvector centrality of the important words in the topic is high. This indicates that text mining techniques can be applied to research on content analysis of trade claims for statistical analysis. Originality/value - Firstly, the validity of the text mining technique in the study of trade claim cases is confirmed. Prior studies on trade claims have relied on traditional approach. Secondly, this study has an originality in that it is an attempt to quantitatively study the trade claim cases, whereas prior trade claim cases were mainly studied via qualitative methods. Lastly, this study shows that the use of the text mining can lower the barrier for acquiring information from a large amount of digitalized text.

Turnkey projects accounting for some $10\%$ of the total volume of the projects in the domestic market have been often implemented without the process of full-scale review or study because of clients' lack of expert and expertise. Moreover, many projects have been executed under the terms and conditions of the contact which were found to be unilaterally in favor of the clients. The study, as part of effects to mitigate the claims that would possibly be caused by the potential problems with the typical turnkey projects, were intended to identify the elements of the claims virtually being occurred at the construction sites, and then analyze the degree of influence on the project so as to be able to incorporate the outcome into the plan at the working-levels. As a result of experts' review, through the survey, of the elements once extracted, those having relatively higher degrees of influence on turnkey projects were determined, and the investigation aimed at estimating the amount of claims in terms of value were conducted to eventually identify, evaluate and verify the elements that had affected the Project together with the degree of influence.

Dispute related to construction projects involving numerous persons is one of the biggest challenges faced by contractors today. It costs a substantial amount of money and time in resolving these kinds of claims. Recently, with the changes in the construction environment and thought of relation with owner, the number of construction claims has increased. But, a majority of these claims do not prevail, and in fact, frequently get dismissed in its entirety. The reasons for such dismissals include the ignorance about the claims, lack of clear and convincing evidence, and so on. But most of reasons are the claims are not managed well on construction process. This paper analyzes the failure causes by relying on past claim failure cases, and then drew works that have connection with failure causes through interview. It also presented importance degree of construction management works.

Various risk factors are known to be the nature of construction project execution process. These factors lead to potential claims, dispute mediation, arbitration, and litigation which can result in huge loss of money and time. Therefore, it is necessary for construction companies in Korea to improve overall project management capability through the evaluation before entering into the overseas construction market. Also, after examination of the claim and dispute caused by construction project risks, a substantial degree of influence and active preparation for the claim and dispute management should be confirmed via the effect analysis of the each factors. Main claim causes were derived through claim and dispute cases involved with domestic construction projects. As a prediction result of the main claim, 16.1% of the construction change claim, 5.7% of the bad faith claim and 2.7% for the construction delay claim were found to be the portion of the total construction cost. As a result of this analysis, risk management methodology was suggested to improve a project management capability for domestic construction companies through analysis result of the main factors of construction claims.

It has been shown that the structure identification of a neuro-fuzzy model improves their accuracy performances in a various modeling problems. In this paper, we claim that the structure identification of a neuro-fuzzy model can also reduce the degree of inconsistency of its fuzzy rulebase. Thus, the resulting neuro-fuzzy model serves as more like a structured knowledge representation scheme. For this, we briefly review a structure identification method of a neuro-fuzzy model and propose a systematic method to measure inconsistency of a fuzzy rulebase. The proposed method is applied to problems or fuzzy system reproduction and nonlinear system modeling in order to validate our claim.

We show how the dynamic optimization problem with the capital constraint can be reduced to the problem to find an optimal modified claim $\tilde{\psi}H$ where $\tilde{\psi}$ is a randomized test in the static problem. Coherent risk measure is used as risk measure in the $L^{\infty}$ random variable spaces. The paper is written in expository style to some degree. We use an average risk of measure(AVaR), which is a special coherent risk measure, to see how to hedge the modified claim in a complete market model.
