어머니 거부/방임적 양육태도, 유아의 기질 및 보육 경험이 유아의 공격성에 미치는 영향: 자기조절의 중재효과를 중심으로 (Associations of Aggression, Maternal Rejection/Neglect, Child Temperament, and Daycare Experience: The Moderating Effect of Self-Regulation)

  • This study investigates the relationships between aggression and rejection/neglect by mothers, child temperament, day care experience for preschoolers; in addition, the moderating effect of self-regulation was investigated. The subjects were 338 preschool children. Teachers completed questionnaires that assessed aggression and self-regulation. Mothers reported on the temperament of children and parenting behavior. The rejection/neglect by mothers, child temperament, and daycare experiences were significant predictors of aggression. The moderating effect of self-regulation was found only in daycare experience, which suggests that high self-regulation protects aggression from day care experience.

부모용 또래 놀이행동 척도(PIPPS-P)의 타당화 (Validation of The Parent Version of Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale for Young Children)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the construct validity of the Penn Interactive Peer Play Scale on the parent version. The participants of this study were 231 children in the Seoul and Gyeonggi provincial areas. The instruments included the 32-item exploratory PIPPS (Choi & Shin, 2008), and the Preschool Behavior Questionnaire (PBQ; Park, 1992). The data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, factor analysis, Pearson's r and Cronbach ${\alpha}$. The results were as follows. First, the PIPPPS on the parent version was validated with supporting three factors: Play Disruption, Play Disconnection and Play Interaction with 30 items. The sub-factors of the PIPPS were related with those of the PBQ as criterion measurements. The reliability coefficients of the sub-factors of the PIPPS were ranged from .78 to .82.

인형극을 통한 문제해결 상호작용이 대인문제해결 사고에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Problem Solving Interaction with Puppetry on Interpersonal Cognitive Problem Solving Skills)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of problem solving interaction through puppetry on interpersonal problem solving thinking. The subjects were 60 children, ranging in age from 69 to 72 months. All subjects were randomly assigned to one of three experimental groups: the control group with no treatment, the puppetry group, the puppetry problem solving interaction group. The treatment covered 4 weeks. The instrument was based on Shure and Spivack's(1974) Preschool Interpersonal Problem Solving (PIPS) test. The data were analyzed with paired t-test, one-way ANOVA, Tukey test, percentage, and Kendall's ${\tau}$. There were significant differences among the three groups in the frequency of solving interpersonal problems. The problem solving interaction with puppetry group was the most effective on Interpersonal Cognitive Problem Solving Strategies. These results showed that problem solving interaction with puppetry is effective in cultivating young children's interpersonal problem solving thinking.

한국주부의 가사노동의 경제적 가치추정 (Estimates of the Economic Value of Housework by Fulltime Housewives in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to survey alternative methods of valuation of housework, and then to estimate the economic value of housework done by fulltime housewives in Korea. Four different methods-Self Estimation by Housewives, Opportunity Cost, Individual Function Cost and Housekeeper Replacement cost-are tried for the estimation of economic value of housework. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: (1) The economic value of housework varies substantially by the methods of estimation. The average are: *Estimates of Economic values of Housework by Each Method of Estimation (2) The economic value of housework varies with the level of education, ages, household income, the size of family, the number of children, the number of preschool children.

국내 마이코플라스마와 클라미디아 감염 - 폐렴을 중심으로 - (Mycoplasma and chlamydia infection in Korea)

  • Pneumonia, which usually requires hospitalization for children, is caused by various pathogens. According to recent surveys, the prevalence of atypical pneumonia caused by Mycoplasma or Chlamydia has increased, especially in preschool children. Also, the evidence has been accumulated that Mycoplasma or Chlamydia infection is associated with asthma including both inception and exacerbation. Therefore, it is important to consider how the clinical aspects of Mycoplasma pneumonia have changed. In particular, Chlamydia pneumonia, which has not been prevalent in Korea, needs greater attention.

대장균의 장내 독소 생성 균주에 관한 연구 (A study on Enterotoxigenic Escherichia coli)

  • Escherichiae-like organisms were isolated from rectal specimens of 56 children who were either in preschool age or in elementary school. The isolated strains were subjected to tests to screen enteropathogens producing heat-labile enterotoxin and susceptibility test to various antibiotics by disc diffusion method on agar plates. Production of heat-labile enterotoxin by the strains was assyed in the sensitive and reproducible cultured adrenal tumor cell system. The assay was sterodogenesis of the cell in the presence of heat-labile enterotoxin. Among 56 strains, gave positive reaction in the test of toxin production. This meant that about 10% of the children population objected to the study harbored the toxigenic strain of enteropathogenes. Some of these toxigenic strains were resistant to the antibiotics employed in the test. This study suggested that considerable population in Korea may harbor entertoxigenic E. coli as a part of intestinal normal flora. The toxigenic strains which are resistant to antibiotics may bring issue of public health in the future.

취학전 아동 어머니의 자녀 양육 스트레스 연구: 농촌 주부를 대상으로 (Analysis of Maternal Parenting Stress of the Preschool Children's Mother: Focused on Rural Housewives)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the maternal parenting stress and related variables through early childhood in rural areas (Iksan and Kimpo). The subject were 134 mothers who have less than 5-year old children. The statistics used for this data were freguency, percentile, t-test, ANOVA, and multiple regression analysis. The main results obtained from this study were as follows. The degree of maternal parenting stress differed according to level of mother's education, sex of the child, physical and mental health of the mother, child rearing attitudes, mother's level of self-differentiation, marital satisfaction, and father's parenting support. Results of the regression analysis that the etiologic model of this study were that father's parenting support is the most effective variables in rural areas.

한국 아동의 인쇄물 개념 습득과 언어능력의 관계 (Relationships between Print Concepts and Language Ability in 4-to 6-year old Korean Children)

  • In this study, 197 4- to 6- year-old Korean children wereindividually tested with Concepts about Print(CAP Clay, 2000), the Picture Vocabulary Test(Kim, Jang, Lim & Bak, 1996), Korean-Wechsler Preschool and Primary Scale of Intelligence : Verbal Test (K-WPPSI), and the Basic Academy Skills Assessment : Reading(Kim, 2000). Data were analyzed by Pearson-correlation, analysis of variance, and factor analysis. There were significant differences of CAP mean scores by age. Within the subcategories of CAP, Book Orientation Concepts and Print-convention were acquired earlier than other subcategories, followed by Print-direction, Print-order and Advanced Print Concepts in that order. The scores of CAP were positively correlated with the Picture Vocabulary Test, the K-WPPSI verbal test and the reading test.

프로젝트 접근법의 효과에 대한 메타분석 (A Meta-Analysis on the Effectiveness of Project Approach in Early Childhood Education)

  • This study used meta-analysis to synthesize the effectiveness of the project approach. After reviewing 51 studies, we analyzed the effect size of 119 articles published between 1990 and 2002 using SAS 8.2 program. The grand average of the project approach effectiveness was 1.03. This implies that the experimental group that employing the project approach is more effective than control group by the 35 percentile. We also found that the project approach is more effective for preschool children group (1.21, 89%) than for the elementary school children group (0.88, 81%). Specific variables regarding the effectiveness of the project approach were analyzed and its consequences were discussed.

Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency-2(BOT-2) 단축형을 사용한 학령전기 아동의 운동능력에 대한 연구 (A Preliminary Study on Motor Ability of Preschool Aged Children by Using Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency-2 (BOT-2) Short Form)

  • 목적 : 우리나라 학령전기 아동을 대상으로 운동 적합성 검사(Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency-2: BOT-2) 단축형을 사용하여 학령전기 아동의 운동 능력을 제시하고, BOT-2의 표준화를 위한 선행 연구로서 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 부산과 김해의 만 4세~6세 81명의 아동을 대상으로 BOT-2 단축형을 사용하여 대상자의 운동능력을 평가하였다. 기술 통계분석을 사용하여 운동능력의 평균값, 표준편차를 제시하였고, 성별과 나이에 따른 운동능력의 차이는 독립 t 검정과 분산 분석을 사용하였다. 결과 : 만 4세와 5세간 원점수 총점에서 유의한 차이를 보였고(p = .000), 만 5세와 6세간의 미세운동 정확성 항목에서 유의한 차이가 있었다(p = .014). 미세운동정확성, 미세운동 통합, 균형 항목에서 여자의 평균이 높았다(p = .022, p = .006, p = .031). BOT-2 개발 대상 아동에 비해 4세와 5세 아동은 높은 원점수 평균을 나타내었고(p = .007, p = .000), 전 연령에서 높은 표준 점수를 보였다. 결론 : 본 연구는 전 학령기 아동의 운동능력에 대한 각 항목의 평균을 제시하였고, 나이와 성별에 따른 운동능력의 차이를 발견하였다. 학령전기 아동으로 연령이 제한되어 일반화의 한계가 있으나 BOT-2 단축형 학령전기 아동 규준 데이터를 제공하는 점에서 의의가 있다.
