영국 보육교사의 직무만족도와 직무스트레스 (The study of British Child Care Teacher's Job Satisfaction and Their Job Stress)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the job satisfaction and the job stress of British child care teachers. Respondents, including childminders, were 137 British child care teachers who worked in nursery school, day nursery, creche, and playgroup. In the survey on the job satisfaction of British child care teachers, they were asked to answer two items. In the survey on their job stress level, they were required to rate their job-related stress levels on a 5 point scale of 'Job Stress scale' by Davis et al(2003). The results indicated: firstly, the British child care teachers are much satisfied with their job and have the low level of job stress. Secondly, their job satisfaction depends on who runs the child care facilities, what position they have in the centers, how long they work for child care, what qualifications they have. The levels of their job stress depend significantly on their present position in the centers. Thirdly, the job satisfaction of British child care teachers is explained about 27%, is related to their performing of daily routine, their age, the management of child care centers and qualifications of the teachers.

아동의 정서적 부적응 행동과 관련변인과의 인과모형 분석 (A Casual Model between Emotional Maladjustment Behaviors of Children and Related Variables)

  • The purpose of this research is to study the causal model among mother related variables, child abuse, and children's emotional maladjustment behaviors. The sample subjects were 542 pairs of fifth and sixth grade elementary school students and first as well as eighth grade middle school students, and their mothers. The major findings of the research are as follows: First, the result of multiple regression analysis on the effects of the maternal parenting stress and marital satisfaction to the children's abuse indicates that stress related to learning expectation and stress related to relationship with child are the significant contributing factor to physical abuse and verbal abuse. Second, the result of multiple regression analysis on the effects of the maternal parenting stress and child abuse to the children's emotional maladjustment behaviors indicate that verbal abuse is the significant contributing factor. Third, looking at causal relations of the maternal variables (maternal parenting stress, marital satisfaction) and child abuse (physical abuse, verbal abuse, neglect) to the children's emotional maladjustment behaviors, maternal variables impact indirectly through the child abuse factor.

어머니의 양육스트레스와 영유아의 교육기관 적응의 관계 (The Relationships between the Parenting Stress of Mothers and the Adjustment of Young Children in Child-Care Centers)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationships of mothers' parenting stress and young children's adjustment to the child care centers they attend. The subjects for this study comprised 401 young children from 1 to 4 years of age from 11 child care centers in C-si, Chungnam, and their mothers. The results of this study were as follows : First, there were no significant differences in the parenting stress of mothers related to whether they were working or not, the age of the children nor their gender Second, there were no significant differences in the adjustment of young children to their child care center related to their mothers' work status nor age of the children themselves. However, there was a significant difference in relation to the gender of the young children in that girls were better in their adjustment to the child care center than boys. Third, a negative correlation appeared between mothers' parenting stress and their young children's adjustment to the child care center in that the higher maternal parenting stress was, the greater the difficulties for their young children in their adjustment to the child care center. There were significant negatively correlations between most sub-factors of maternal parenting stress and the adjustment of those children to the child care center.

양육효능감의 매개 역할 : 양육행동의 인과관계 모형 (The Mediational Role of Korean Mothers' Parenting Self-Efficacy : The Causal Relations Model of Parenting Behaviors)

  • This study investigated causal relations between mother's parenting, self-efficacy, perceived social support, stress, and parenting behaviors, Child's temperament, and the mediational role of mother's parenting self-efficacy. Participants were 404 Korean children and their mothers living in Seoul, Korea. Results showed that mother's parenting self-efficacy was positively related to mother's Warmth-Acceptance, social support, and child's temperament. On the other hand, mother's parenting self-efficacy was negatively related to. mother's Rejection-Restriction, mother's Permissiveness-Nonintervention, and mother's stress. Structural equation modeling indicated that mother's parenting self-efficacy was a significant mediator of the relation between mother's perceived social support and stress, child's temperament, and mother's parenting behaviors including Warmth-Acceptance, Rejection-Restriction and Permissiveness-Nonintervention Child's temperament had an indirect effect on mother's Rejection-Restriction and Permissiveness Nonintervention.

초등학교 비만아와 정상체중아의 자아존중감에 영향을 미치는 변인 (Effects of Self-perceived Obesity, Peer Victimization, Stress, and Maternal Child Rearing Behaviors on the Self-esteem of Obese and Normal Weight Elementary School Children)

  • This study examined effects of self-perceived obesity, peer victimization, stress, and maternal child rearing behaviors on self-esteem in an obese group(OG) and a normal weight group(NWG) of elementary school children. Subjects were 1,501 elementary school children in the 4th to the 6th grades in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Gwangju, and Andong and their mothers. Major findings were that maternal child rearing behaviors and stress related to parents and home environments influenced children's self esteem only in the NWG; school-related stress was an influential variable on children's self esteem in both the NWG and OG. Peer victimization influenced children's self-esteem in both NWG and OG. Self-perceived obesity influenced some domains of children's self-esteem, especially in girls.

아동의 우울에 영향을 미치는 어머니 관련변인에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Effect of the Maternal Parenting Stress on the Children Depression)

  • The purpose of this research is to delineate the effect of maternal variables of the children's depression. Such variables as the mother's age, her education level and maternal parenting stress have been chosen for the analysis. The sample subject were 659 pairs of fifth/sixth grade of elementary school and first/second grade of middle school and their mothers. The data were analyzed frequency, percentage, factor analysis, Cronbach's alpha, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and stepwise multiple regression analysis. The major findings of the research are as follows : First, the children's depression is significantly related to mother's education level but the children's depression is not significantly related to mother's age. Second, parenting stress related to temperament, relationship and learning expectation is significantly related to children's depression. Third, the result of step multiple regression analysis on the effects of the maternal variables to the children's depression indicates that maternal parenting stress related to temperament, relationship and mother education level are the significant contributing factor. All in all, the maternal variables account for 7% of the children's depression score.

사회적 지지, 스트레스 대처방식이 보육교사의 직무스트레스에 미치는 영향: 직장보육시설을 중심으로 (Effects of Social Support and Stress Coping Strategies on Teachers' Job Stress in Corporate-Sponsored Child Care Centers)

  • This study explored effects of social support and stress coping strategies on teachers' job stress in corporate-sponsored child care centers. Participants were 191 child care teachers from 19 corporate-sponsored child care centers. Data was analyzed using Pearson's productive correlation and hierarchical multiple regression tests. Important findings were as follows: First, the overload of task was the dominant factor in causing job stress. Secondly, social support correlated negatively with child care teachers' job stress. Thirdly, child care teachers' problem-focused coping strategy was also found to be related to their job stress. Finally, the effect of social support on child care teachers' job stress was partially mediated by their problem-focused coping strategy.

농촌지역 어머니의 양육스트레스, 사회적 지원과 취학전 아동의 사회성 발달에 관한 연구 (Analysis of Maternal Parenting Stress, Social Support and Preschool Children's Social Development in Rural Area)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between parenting stress, social support and the social development of preschool children in rural areas. The subject included 114 preschool children, along with their mothers, selected from kindergartens and day care centers in rural areas. The instruments included the parenting stress index, social support inventory and the social maturity scale. The statistics used from this data were t-test, one-way ANOYA(Scheffe test), correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis. This study showed that maternal parenting stress was influenced significantly by the related variables; gender of child, birth order of child, age of mother, educational attainment of mother, family income, religion, family type. And also, social support was influenced significantly by the above variables. The child's social development was influenced significantly by the variables that related child and the family. Correlation analysis indicated that parenting stress and social development of the child were relatively negative high correlation coefficients. And social support and social development of the child were relatively positive high correlation coefficients. The important factors on predicting social development of the child were found to be birth order of child, age of mother, educational attainment of mother, family income, religion, family type, daily stress, stress of difficult child, stress of parent-child dysfunctional interaction, educational distress, husband support, and other support. Especially stress of difficult child and husband support were important variables that predicted the social development of the preschool children.

어머니의 사고양식, 스트레스 대처방식과 양육 스트레스와의 관계 (Relationships among Mother's Thinking Styles, Stress Coping Styles, and Child-Rearing Stress)

  • This study investigated how mother's thinking styles are represented and researched relationships between their thinking styles, their stress coping styles, and child-rearing stress. Subjects were 254 mothers of children attending child care centers and kindergartens. Instruments were the Thinking Styles Questionnaire Short Version (Sternberg & Wagner, 1991), Parenting Stress Index/Short Form (Abidin, 1990), and the Way of Coping Checklist (Lazarus & Folkman, 1984) Data were analyzed by MANOVA, Pearson's correlation, and regression. Results showed more educated mothers had legislative and internal thinking styles, and mothers employed outside the home had hierarchical, internal, and liberal thinking styles. Varieties of maternal thinking styles were related to parental distress, to parent-child dysfunctional interaction and to child's difficult temperament.

아동상담자의 직무스트레스와 개인적 자원이 소진 및 직무열의에 미치는 영향 (Job Stress, Personal Resources, Burnout, and Work Engagement in Child Counselors)

  • 본 연구는 직무스트레스와 개인적 자원(강인성, 낙관성)이 아동상담자의 소진 및 직무열의에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 하였다. 이를 위해, 아동 대상 심리치료를 하는 아동상담자 171명에 대해 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 상관분석 및 위계적 다중회귀 분석방법을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과, 직무스트레스와 개인적 자원은 소진 및 직무열의와 상관관계를 나타냈는데, 특히 직무스트레스는 소진과, 개인적 자원은 직무열의와 더 밀접한 상관을 보였다. 직무스트레스는 소진을 높이는 것으로 나타났으며, 개인적 자원으로서 강인성은 소진을 감소시키는 것으로 나타났다. 직무열의와 관련해서는 강인성과 낙관성이 직무스트레스에 비해 상대적인 영향력이 컸다. 따라서 강인성이나 낙관성과 같은 심리적 자원을 가진 아동상담자는 소진을 덜 느끼고 자신의 일에 더 많이 헌신하며, 몰두한다는 것을 알 수 있다. 본 연구결과를 바탕으로 아동상담자에 대한 실천적 함의를 논하였다.
