This study examined the effect sizes of psychological burnout-related factors on the psychological burnout of early childhood teachers by applying meta - analysis focusing on master 's theses, doctoral dissertations and journals that have been published in Korea for the past 20 years. The results of the analysis are as follows. First, the total effect size, the factor group, the sub-factor, and the positive and negative effect factors of the inducing and inhibiting factors showed a significant effect size. Second, in terms of inducing factors, the task problem group showed a larger effect size than the negative relationship group. Third, among the lower factor of the negative relationship group, all the sub factors excluding the negative relationship with the director, effect size showed a medium effect size. Fourth, task stress showed the greatest effect size among the sub factors of the task factor group, followed by role conflict, task overload, and role ambiguity. Fifth, resilience showed the greatest effect size among the inhibition factors, followed by organizational support factor, teacher efficacy factor, social support factor, and emotional factor. Sixth, all sub factors of the emotional labor factor group, organizational support factor of the organizational support factor group, general teacher efficacy factor of the teacher efficacy factor group, and all sub factors of social support factor Medium effect size. In addition, the lower factor of all the other factors showed a large effect size. Seventh, of the effect factors, job satisfaction factor, depression factor, and turnover intention factor all showed a large effect size.
Purpose : The aim of this research was to clarify the difference in awareness of food safety and what they feel as dangerous among parents in Japan, China, and Korea and how they are different among the nations. Methods : Research subjects were 250 parents in Japan, 181 parents in China, 166 parents in Korea whose children attend a child institution or a day care center. We conducted a questionnaire survey that was self-written and anonymous. Results : Parents in Japan feel safer than Korea and China, and parents in Korea feel safer than China about food that are sold generally. Especially, in China, the average of 5 level scale was lower than the median so it shows that people do not trust food that are sold in the market. All 3 countries tend to have the awareness that "pesticide that is over the standard amount is detected from vegetables in China" and "vegetable grown without pesticides and organic produce are safe" and showed no significant difference. Also, there was a significant difference statistically for the awareness that "it makes it easier to get cancer if you eat food that contain radiation" and "there is a possibility that seafood caught near Japan contain radiation". Parents in Japan emphasize that "the price is low" the most and it was significantly higher than in China and Korea. Also, similar to parents in Japan, parents in Korea tend to emphasize that it is "domestic". On the other hand, it verified that parents in China emphasized "the meat or fish is grown without antibiotics" and "it uses vegetable grown without pesticides".
This study was to develop the health education program model of young children based on e-book using QR code to prevent and manage fine dust. We developed program to prevent and manage fine dust for young children' health through in-depth discussions with 2 young children's health experts and 3 young children education experts, and developed the e-book using QR code. The program model for fine dust's prevention education based on e-book using QR code was verified for suitability as a field adaptation and teaching medium for 5-year old. The results of this study are as follows: First, the program model for fine dust's prevention education based on e-book using QR code was developed through 3 stages of appreciation activity-central activity-finishing activity. Second, the e-book using QR code is a useful teaching medium applicable to fine dust's prevention education program. In conclusion, the e-book-based fine dust's prevention education program using QR code will be used as an appropriate education method for fine dust's prevention and health management activities in the field of education for young children.

Purpose: This study aimed to identify utilization of the work-family support policy (WFSP) and factors affecting retention intention among Korean female military officers. Methods: This cross-sectional survey recruited 103 married female officers from the Korean Army, Navy, and Air force with preschool-aged children through convenience and snowball sampling. Via online surveys from June to November, 2018, the participants self-reported retention intention, work-family conflict, job satisfaction, and utilization of the WFSP. The data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, independent t-tests, one-way analysis of variance, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple linear regression. Results: Retention intention ($22.29{\pm}5.98$) was reported at the mid-level, lower than scores reported in the literature for female workers. Work-family conflict ($32.51{\pm}5.29$) and job satisfaction ($63.10{\pm}7.45$) were above the midpoint levels. Use of maternity leave (100.0%) and parental leave (92.2%) was high, especially compared to the rates of child-care day off (20.4%) and parenting time (20.4%). 'Noticeable increases in childcare services within the army' (22.8%) was reported as the supportive measure needed the most by female military officers. Job satisfaction (${\beta}=.43$, $p{\leq}.001$), the use of parenting time (${\beta}=-0.29$, p=.002), living type (${\beta}=-.18$, p=.043), and service type (${\beta}=-.16$, p=.035) significantly influenced retention intention. Conclusions: The findings highlight the priority areas of importance within the WFSP and suggest that a family-friendly culture can improve female officers' retention intention. Accordingly, policy changes at the Ministry of National Defense improving the system to enhance a family-friendly culture in the military is expected to strengthen the retention intention of female officers and contribute to excellence in the military workforce.

The purpose of this study is to find how the childcare teacher aptitude of students majoring in childcare and education influences their perception of teacher professionalism. To achieve that, a questionnaire survey was conducted with 216 early childhood preservice teachers living in A city. For data processing and analysis, SPSS program was used so as to conduct frequency analysis and calculate the mean and standard deviation. In addition, to test reliability and find relations between variables, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were conducted. As a result, firstly, in terms of the childcare teacher aptitude perceived by the students majoring in childcare and education, they highly perceived an affinity with young children and a sense of calling of their job; in terms of their perception of teacher professionalism, they highly perceived social necessity and vocational ethics. Secondly, early childhood preservice teachers' childcare teacher aptitude had a statistically significant correlation with their perception of teacher professionalism. Thirdly, the sub factors of early childhood preservice teachers' childcare teacher aptitude all positively influenced the sub factors of the perception of teacher professionalism. Given the study results, the students majoring in childcare and education perceived the importance of their aptitude of childcare teacher. In order to provide high-quality childcare service and create the positive aptitude of childcare teacher, it will be necessary to conduct a variety of basic research.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of childcare teachers' professionalism on job performance, enhance the effectiveness of childcare teachers, and provide basic data to help them satisfy their duties. Statistical processing of the collected data has been studied through the SSPPWIN 21.0 program, level of expertise, understanding, skills, and attitude recognized by child care teachers, the higher the level of professionalism, the higher the age, educational background, and experience, the higher the level of expertise. In addition, various policy and institutional support at the level of childcare-related administrative agencies or local governments is needed to develop operational measures suitable for each type of daycare center and improve the quality of childcare services. Programs for the promotion of professionalism and job performance of childcare teachers should be developed and regular education, training and workshops should be provided to support application to childcare sites. This study is meant to improve the level of professionalism of daycare centers to achieve desirable professionalism and efficient organizational goals of daycare centers, and to improve the job performance of daycare centers and provide basic data to help them satisfy their jobs.
The coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has been continuously spreading throughout the world. As of July 15, 2021, there have been more than 188 million confirmed cases and more than 4.06 million deaths. Although the incidence of severe infections is relatively low in children and adolescents compared to adults, a complication called multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C) may occur in some cases at approximately 2-6 weeks after severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) infection. MIS-C can be seen in patients of various ages, from young infants to adolescents, and may present with diverse clinical manifestations. While fever present in a great majority of patients, symptoms suggesting the involvement of the digestive or nervous system and the skin and mucous membranes (Kawasaki disease-like symptoms) also appear in many cases. Cardiac involvement may also be observed, including left ventricular dysfunction, myocarditis, coronary artery dilatation, and coronary aneurysm. In some cases, hypotension or shock can occur, and mechanical ventilation or treatment in the intensive care unit may be necessary. Fortunately, recovery is generally reported after appropriate treatment. MIS-C is a rare but important complication of SARS-CoV-2 infection in children and adolescents. As such, it is important to recognize the clinical symptoms and provide appropriate treatment at an early stage. In this review, the epidemiology, clinical symptoms, suggested pathophysiology, diagnostic approach, and treatment of MIS-C will be discussed.
This study was conducted in order to acquire useful information regarding the resilience of childcare educators amidst an emergency pandemic to adjust their job stress, job burnout, and turnover intention. A questionnaire was conducted for analysis from August 19th to the 30th in 2020 and 201 responses ended up being used for analysis. The analysis results revealed that job stress, job burnout, and turnover intention of childcare educators were low while resilience was high and it was acknowledged that all of them mostly differed according to the types of personal traits. Although the job stress of childcare educators had a positive (+) influence on job burnout at a statistically significant level, it turns out that job stress does not have an influential relationship with turnover intention. Furthermore, the emotion regulation ability, impulse control, and active conductivity among resilience displayed a moderating effect in the relationship between job stress and job burnout. Amidst an emergency pandemic known as the COVID-19 virus, it has been confirmed that job stress and turnover intention of childcare educators deteriorated, and the prominent reason for this was identified as the difficulty in carrying out smooth job performances. Accordingly, measures to strengthen resilience such as countermeasures against quarantine-based job stress and turnover intent, daily management over job burnout and resilience, as well as counseling or programs based on self-focused attention have been suggested.
The purpose of this study was to identify changes and differences in perceptions of disabilities, attitudes toward inclusive education, and teacher efficacy in Early childhood pre-service teachers through capstone design-based disability teaching material production classes. The study participants were 50 third-year child care majoring students (25 experimental group, 25 comparison group) who participated in capstone design class for one semester in 2020 at 3-year K university. Looking at the results of the study, the experimental group, which produced teaching materials for the disabilities, showed significant changes in disability awareness, attitude toward inclusive education, and teacher efficacy than the comparative group. there was a positive change in the perception of disability due to an increase in the overall understanding and knowledge of the disabilities. It is judged that these positive changes in the perception of people with disabilities gave positive changes to the attitude toward inclusive education and teachers' efficacy. This positive change of early childhood pre-service teachers will serve as an opportunity to improve the quality of teaching behavior and various roles of teachers when interacting with children with disabilities in the inclusive education field.
The purpose of this study is to have college students who took 'University Character Education Using YouTube Videos', which was opened as a liberal arts course in college, directly produce UCC assignments with the theme of personality. Despite the recent paradigm shift in learner-centered education, teacher-centered education still hinders learners' motivation to participate in classes. To solve this problem, a learner-led UCC production process is necessary for the practice of effective learner-centered education. For this purpose, a phenomenological research method was applied. The research participants were 10 students, in-depth interview was used for data collection, and Colaizzi's research method was selected for data analysis. As a result of the analysis, 9 themes, 4 theme clusters, and 2 categories were derived. The results are as follows. First, they recognized that the UCC assignments were a field of maturity, such as practicing the right thoughts and actions, and re-establishing the concept of character. Second, they said that the UCC production process was an opportunity to increase their self-esteem. Third, they showed a more mature personality by recognizing that the UCC assignments became a chance to pay attention to others beyond themselves. Fourth, they had the greatest difficulty in selecting a topic while carrying out the UCC project, and they were experiencing the limitations of high-quality projects due to the technical immaturity of UCC production. Finally, this study was concluded by discussing the educational implications based on the results. These results provide a suggestion that more effective character education can be expected when tasks led by learners will be developed and an interactive arena where students can be shared are provided.
