A Development of Single Action Press Robot (프레스 단동로봇의 개발)

  • A single action press robot, which consists of a driving unit, rotator, up-down feed base and feed bar, is developed and applied for the press automation. The driving unit is made up with a face cam and blade cam, which have a phase angle. The feeding system consists of a double speed-up apparatus and linear motion guides, and has a fast motion characteristics. A horizontal feeding speed of the feed bar is increased twice by the double speed-up apparatus. The driving mechanism could be simplified due to the speed-up of the feeding unit.

  • A complete design of a new digital control circuit for a three-phase controlled rectifier is presented. The circuit consists of a gating signal generating ROM, down counter and adder. Proposed scheme is simple and quite adequate to the microprocessor-based digitally controlled systems. The basic principle and operation characteristics of the circuit are described and experimental-results show good dynamic performance. Synchronization problem with noisy reference is also discussed. The basic phylosophy developed can be extended to the other phase control system, e.g., cycloconverters, ac voltoge controllers, etc.

  • Experimental study of a round. free air jet is accomplished using a crossed hot wire probe with a constant temperature hot wire anemometer. Mean velocity Profiles, Reynolds stresses, tubulent intensities, velocity probability densities and correlation functions are measured in the down tream region. These values are calculated and averaged inthe correlation and probability analyzer. The reults are interpreted by the output of te dual beam oscilloscope.

  • Characteristics of an active pixel switch readout circuit were studied by SPICE simulation. A simple readout circuit consists of an operation amplifier, a diode, and a down-counter was suggested, and its successful operation was verified by showing that the differences in the detected signal intensity are accordingly converted to modulation of the voltage pulses generated by the comparator. A scheme to use these pulses to generate the original image was also put forward.

  • The concrete structure under fatigue load depresses in mechanical capability or breaks down finally because of the fatigue. So recently the study on strengthening methods using bonded plate is widely attended. Which could be constructed under use and without damaging the structure. The intention of this method is to increase the useability of the structure and to recover the strength. So application on fields are sharply increasing. In this study it is tried to develop strengthening methods using notches and anchor bolts which could supply the defect on falling off of the plate at the end.

  • With the MOS device scailing down, the substrate concentration must increase in order to avoid punchthrough leakage current due to the DIBL(Drain Induced Barrier Lowering) effect. However the enhancement of the substrate concentration increases source, drain juntion capacitances and substrate current due to hot elelctron, degrading the speed characteristics and reliability of the MOS devices. In this paper, a new device, called CODE(Channel Only Dopant Enhancement) MOS, an its fabrication are proposed. By comparing the fabricated CODE MOSFET with the conventional device, the improvements on DIBL, substrate current and source, drain juntion capacitances are realized.

  • In long tunnel If we reduce the length of system height on catenary system, tunnel construction cost is cut down. It is because of tunnel section curtailment. So that we have review reduction of system height according to tunnel section. We have designed reduction of system height considered characteristics of overhead contact systems within UIC 799 code.

  • The electrical properties of the ultrasonic probes and the piezoelectric composite materials with 1-3 connectivity by the extrusion method have been studied. The relative permittivity and piezoelectric coefficient increase linearly as PZT volume% increases and resonance frequency moves to low frequency as the sample thickness increases. The acoustic impedance matching with body and water is better than PZT ceramics' and the reception sensitivity is fine as the thickness thins down.

  • Pure barium titanate was sintered at $1340^{\circ}C$ for 2, 4, 8, 16 hr to control their grain size. The measurements of breakdown strength and partial discharge characteristics were performed under rising AC voltage(60Hz). With increase of sintering time, the average grain size was increased and breakdown strength was slightly decreased. Partial discharge in pores was observed under high voltage, and a model of dielectric break down in barium titanate ceramics is proposed.

  • Holographic diffuser(HD) layer was demonstrated to be located inside LC cell for a transmissive LCD of TFT-array on Color Filter structure. Master pattern of this layer was generated by holographic method and this pattern was replicated by the stamping of the master pattern on UV resin. Combined with a compensation film, TN-mode LCD with this layer showed improved viewing angle characteristics, especially along the up-down direction.
