자기베어링용 로우터의 형상 오차에 대한 실린더형 캐패시턴스 센서의 측정특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Measurement Characteristics of Cylindrical Type Capacitive Transducers to the Roundness Errors of Rotor for Magnetic Bearing)

  • The sending characteristics of the non-contact type displacement transducers can affect the performances of the magnetic bearing systems when they support the rotating shaft. The probe type displacement sensor detects not only the displacement of the rotor at the sensing position but also the surface irregularitis of the rotor such as surface roughnessand roundness errors. If there exist such measuring errors, the magnetic bearing can not apply proper force against the rotor displacements for the detected signal is the input to the magnetic bearing controllers. The cylindrical shape capacitive transducer can detect the rotor displacement by the integral sum of the charges which are formed between the sensor plates and rotor so that it can reduce the detecting errors induced by the surface irregularities of the rotor. By theore- tical analysis, we compared the sensing characteristics of the cylindrical shape capacitive transducers for the rotors that have some sinusoidal irregularities with that of the ideal probe type displacement transducers.

π-type 압전 하베스터의 출력 특성 연구 (A Study on Output Characteristics of the π-type Piezoelectric Harvester)

  • Generating output characteristics of a ${\pi}$-type piezoelectric harvester depending on size of the ceramic and the elastic body were studied. The ${\pi}$-type piezoelectric harvester consists of a rectangular piezoelectric ceramic and a ${\pi}$ shaped elastic body. If the tensions is applied at both ends of an elastic body legs, the piezoelectric effect occurs at the ceramics through the form change of the elastic body. The structure of this ${\pi}$-type harvester can be used in a various area than an existing type generator, because it prevent from direct pressure to the ceramic. Generating characteristics of the harvester were analyzed by using finite element method program. The piezoelectric harvester was fabricated on the basis of analyzed results and attached on a frequency controllable vibrator to measure the output characteristics. And generating characteristics were defined by comparing analysis results and experimental results. The highest output voltage was obtained when the ceramic length, thickness were 20 mm, 0.5 mm in the analysis result. And experiment was performed by analysis results at low frequency region, output voltage was generated about 6 V.

A Study on the Dynamic and Control Performance of New Type EPS systems with Two Magnetic Clutches

  • This paper validates new type electric power steering (EPS) system which is driven by a uni-direction rotational motor and two electromagnetic clutches. The assist motor of the new type EPS produces a torque for assisting the steering in only one direction and two electromagnetic clutches transmit the assist torque to the pinion gear in either left or right direction with respect to the steering rotation. In order to evaluate the static and dynamic characteristics of the new type EPS, the EPS has been modeled by using the well known customized software such as MSC.ADAMS and MSC.CarSim. The ADAMS software has been used to investigate the static characteristics of the proposed system. ADAMS, however, can not describe dynamics of a vehicle and perform the simulation under the various road conditions. Thus the dynamic characteristics of the vehicle including the EPS are analyzed very well by using the CarSim software. A sinusoidal steering input command is applied to the propose EPS system in order to evaluate the static characteristics, while the double lane changes are applied to the vehicle with the EPS in order to evaluate the dynamic performance. Through a series of simulations, we can conclude that the propose EPS shows the stable dynamic characteristics when the rotational direction is changed.

  • This paper presents a design and characteristics analysis of interior permanent magnet (IPM) type BLDC motor for electric vehicle. In order to design of IPM type BLDC motor, surface mounted permanent magnet(SPM) type BLDC motor is used as the initial design model. According to the size of permanent magnet, the steady state characteristics is analysized by equivalent magnetic circuit method. The characteristics analysis results of the designed motor is compared with the experimental results.

  • This study is concerned about the characteristics of ultrasonic-energy-added W/O type emulsified fuel. The distilled water was mixed with diesel oil by using ultrasonic energy fuel feeding system and then the SMD of sprayed droplets was measured to find out atomization characteristics of emulsified fuel by using the Malvern 2600 system. The capacitance value was measured to verify stability of the same specimen by using the digital LCR meter, EDC1630 additionally. The main results are as follows; 1) The more measuring distance increases between one hole nozzle tip and analyser bearm, the more SMD increases. 2) The more water content increases, the more capacitance value increases depending on the time. Main Parameters of the study are the amount of water content $0{\sim}30%$ by 5% in emulsified fuel, and the measurement distance, $20{\sim}140mm$ by 10mm or 20mm between nozzle tip and analyser beam.

아크유도형 DC 차단기의 동작 특성 (Operating Characteristics of Arc-induction Type DC Circuit Breaker)

  • AC(alternating current) CB(circuit breaker) at the fault occurred in the existing AC distribution system is limiting the fault current through zero cross-point. However, DC(direct current) CB does not have zero cross-point. Therefore, arc occurred by on-off operation of DC CB is very huge. Nowadays, many research team are studying the way to decrease breaking time, which is one of the essential conditions in DC CB. We suggested novel arc-induction type DC CB in this paper. The proposed arc-induction type DC CB is composed of the mechanical Arc ring and DC CB. We confirmed the operation of arc-induction type DC CB through the HFSS(High Frequency Structure Simulator) 3D simulation program and performed the experiment for operation characteristics. Results showed that arcing time of the arc-induction type DC CB by using induction ring was faster than existing mechanical DC CB. On the transient system, we confirmed stable operation characteristics of the arc-induction type DC CB through the simulation and experimental results. We expect that the proposed arc-induction type DC CB technology is will go to stay ahead of the existing DC CB technology.

하이브리드형 초전도 한류기의 동작 특성 (Operating Characteristics of Hybrid Type Superconducting Fault Current Limiter)

  • We investigated the operating characteristics of the hybrid-type superconducting fault current limiter (SFCL) according to the inductance of secondary windings. The hybrid type SFCL consists of a transformer that has a primary winding and a secondary winding with serially connected $YBa_2Cu_3O_7$ (YBCO) films. The resistive-type SFCL has difficulty when it comes to raising the capacity of the SFCL due to slight differences of critical current densities between units and structure of the SFCL. The hybrid-type SFCL with closed-loop is able to achieve capacity increase through the electrical isolation and reduction of the inductance of the secondary winding with a superconducting element of the same critical current. On the other hand, the current limiting characteristics were nearly identical in the hybrid-type SFCL with open-loop compared to closed-loop, but quench time was longer than the hybrid-type SFCL with closed-loop. We confirmed that the capacity of the SFCL was increased effectively by the reduced inductance of the secondary winding. In addition, the power burden of the system also could be lowered by reducing the inductance of secondary winding.

군집분석을 통한 경상남도.전라도 별서의 입지적 특성 (Locational Characteristic of Byeolseo in Gyeongsangnamdo.Jeollado by Cluster Analysis)

  • 별서는 세속을 피하고 은둔전원생활을 위해 수려한 자연경관을 활용하여 다양한 장소에 입지하였다. 본 연구는 경상남도와 전라도 지역 별서의 입지유형을 분류하여 그 특성을 파악하기 위해 먼저, 경상남도 52개소 전라도 44개소 총 96개소 별서의 복합적인 입지특성을 조사하고, 다음으로 별서의 입지유형을 분류하기 위해 입지특성을 유사한 성격을 가진 몇 개의 군집으로 집단화하는 군집분석을 실시하였다. 그 결과, 경상남도와 전라도의 입지유형이 각각 5개의 유형으로 분류되었으며, 경상남도는 '산계형', '절벽형'이, 전라도는 '평지형', '강변 구상형'이 각기 다른 유형으로 '구상형'과 '곡강형', '강변 기타형'은 공통된 유형으로 나타났다. 그 가운데 경상남도는 절벽형이 30.8%, 산계형이 15.4%로 전체의 46.2%가 '강가의 절벽'이나 '산계'에 입지하고 있어 가장 대표적인 입지 특성으로 나타났으며, 경상남도와 달리 전라도는 평지가 18.2%, 강변 구상형이 18.2%, 구상형이 38.6%로 전체의 75.0%가 '평지'나 '강가의 언덕 위' 또는 '언덕 위'에 입지하고 있어 전라도 지역의 대표적인 입지 특성으로 나타났다. 이러한 입지특성은 지역의 지형적 특성을 고려하여 자연스럽게 주변의 자연경관을 활용하여 입지함을 알 수 있다.

공기쉬라우드형 인젝터의 분무 특성 연구 (Spray Characteristics of the Air-Shrouded Injectors)

  • Improvement of the atomization characteristics by adopting the air-shrouded injector has been considered as one of the important methods for decreasing HC emissions in SI engines. Thus, in this study to develop air-shrouded injector with a finer spray, atomization characteristics of differ-ent types of commercial air-shrouded injectors were investigated through the spray imaging and the drop size measurements. As a results, it was found that the internal mixing type of air-shroud-ed injector had a good atomization characteristics. But, a number of large droplets were found in the internal mixing type commercial injector, this shortcoming was improved by adopting the thread type air passages in the air nozzle.

Free-Piston 엔진용 평판형 선형 발전기를 이용한 기동모드 해석 (Starting Mode Analysis of Flat-type Linear Generator for Free-Piston Engine)

  • Free-piston engine system is a new type energy converter which uses a linear motion of piston by using linear generator. In free-piston engine system, the piston is not connected to a crank-shaft. The major advantages of free-piston engine system are high efficiency and low mechanical loss from the absence of motion conversion devices. Linear generator of free-piston engine system is used as generator and starting motor. In design step, considering of back-emf and detent force characteristics for generating mode and thrust and control characteristics for starting mode is needed. In this research, generating mode of flat-type linear generator and tubular-type linear generator is analyzed by finite element analysis method and starting mode of both type linear generators is analyzed by using capability curve. Capability curve is plotted from electrical parameters of both type linear generator and motion profile is calculated from mechanical parameters.
