  • A number of recent paper have investigated the feasibility of synchronizing chaotic system. In this paper we proposed the chaotic synchronization of the canonical Chua's circuit with RLCG transmission line by drive-response system. We expected that to be available to apply this secure communication with RLCG transmission line.

  • This paper presents intelligent digital redesign method of global approach for hybrid state space fuzzy-model-based controllers. For effectiveness and stabilization of continuous-time uncertain nonlinear systems under discrete-time controller, Takagi-Sugeno(TS) fuzzy model is used to represent the complex system. And global approach design problems viewed as a convex optimization problem that we minimize the error of the norm bounds between nonlinearly interpolated lineal operators to be matched. Also, by using the bilinear and inverse bilinear approximation method, we analyzed nonlinear system's uncertain parts more precisely. When a sampling period is sufficiently small, the conversion of a continuous-time structured uncertain nonlinear system to an equivalent discrete-time system have proper reason. Sufficiently conditions for the global state-matching of the digitally controlled system are formulated in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, a T-S fuzzy model for the chaotic Lorentz system is used as an example to guarantee the stability and effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • In control system design, whether the various subsystems are in discrete time or continuous time, the state space is usually regarded as a continuum. However, when the system is implemented, some subsystems may have a state space which is a subset of finite computer arithmetic. This is an important concern if a subsystem has chaotic behaviour, because it is theoretically possible for rich and varied motions in a continuum to collapse to trivial and degenerate behaviour in a finite and discrete state space [5]. This paper discusses new ways to describe these effects and reports on computer experiments which document and illustrate such collapsing behaviour.

  • In this paper, a fuzzy controller is designed to suppress and stabilize the chaotic behavior of Chua's circuit. This controller is constructed by the following two phases. First, Chua's circuit is represented by an affine fuzzy model. Second, a fuzzy controller is designed so that the stability of the closed-loop system composed of the fuzzy controller and the affine fuzzy model of Chua's circuit is rigorously guaranteed. The stability condition of the affine fuzzy system is derived and is recast in the formulation of linear matrix inequalities. The guaranteed stability is global and asymptotic. Finally, the applicability of the suggested methodology is highlighted via computer simulations.

  • The Voronoi network can be used to effectively simulate the microstructure of ZnO varistors. The nonuniformity in microstructure of simulated ZnO varistor can be changed by setting different disorder degree of Voronoi network. In the region of disorder degree larger than 3 where the simulated microstructures are similar to those the actual ones of ZnO varistors, a chaotic phenomenon exists in the microstructure characteristics. This chaotic property can simulate the original behavior of nonuniformity of electrical characteristics caused by microstructures of ZnO varistors.

  • The loss minimization is one of the most important problems to save the operational cost in distribution systems. This paper presents an efficient method for optimal feeder reconfiguration of distribution systems. Chaos search algorithm (CSA) is used to reconfigure distribution systems so that active power losses are globally minimized with turning on/off sectionalizing switches. In optimization problem, the CSA searches the global optimal solution on the basis of regularity in chaotic motions and easily escapes from local or near optimal solution. The CSA is tested on 15 buses and 32 buses distribution systems, and the results indicate that it is able to determine appropriate switching options for global optimum reconfiguration.

  • In this paper, we preposed a chaos optimization method to reduce computational effort and enhance optimality of the solution in feeder reconfiguration problem. Chaos method in optimization problem searches the global optimal solution on the regularity of chaotic motions and more easily escapes from local or near optimal solution than stochastic optimization algorithms. The chaos optimization method is tested on 15 buses and 32 buses distribution systems, and the test results indicate that it is able to determine appropriate switching options for global optimum configuration with less computation.

  • The general capacitor placement problem is a combinatorial optimization problem having an objective function composed of power losses and capacitor installation costs subject to bus voltage constraints. In this paper, the method employing the chaos search algorithm is proposed to solve optimal capacitor placement problem with reducing computational effort and enhancing optimality of the solution. Chaos method in optimization problem searches the global optimal solution on the regularity of chaotic motions and easily escapes from local or near optimal solution than stochastic optimization algorithms. The chaos optimization method is tested on 9 buses and 69 buses system to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, we present model predictive control scheme based on neural network to control discrete-time chaotic systems. We use a feedforward neural network as nonlinear prediction model. The training algorithm used is an adaptive backpropagation algorithm that tunes the connection weights. And control signal is obtained by using gradient descent (GD), some kind of LMS method. We identify that the system identification results through model prediction control have a great effect on control performance. Finally, simulation results show that the proposed control algorithm performs much better than the conventional controller.
