Contention-based Reservation Protocol Using a Counter for Detecting a Source Conflict in WDM Single-hop Optical Network with Non-equivalent Distance

  • We propose a new channel reservation protocol which can reduce message delay by using a counter for detection of d source conflict in a WDM single-hop network with non-equivalent propagation delay. A source convict occurs when a source node has the right to transmit more than or equal to two messages simultaneously, which are transmitted using different wavelengths. In such a case, the source node has to newly obtain the right to transmit the message. In the proposed protocol, by using a source conflict counter a source node can detect a source conflict before a wave-length assignment is performed. Therefore, the source node can start a procedure to newly obtain the right to transmit the message which cannot be transmitted due to a source conflict. We analyse the throughput performance by taking the effect of a source conflict into account, and show that the approximate analysis and the computer simulated results are close. Also, from computer simulated results, we show that our proposed protocol can reduce mean message delay dramatically without degrading throughput performance as the offered load becomes large.

  • 본 연구는 상호 협력적 관계를 형성하여 온 항공사와 여행사가 공급자와 수급자로서 유통경로상의 관계특성요인을 파악하고 갈등과 파트너십 성과에 미치는 영향관계를 규명하여 항공사와 여행사 두 조직이 비즈니스 파트너로서 동반자적 관계를 형성하여 함께 성장할 수 있는 방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 설문조사는 항공사와 여행사 두 조직간 인식의 차이를 규명하고자 양방향 연구(dyadic research)로 진행되었으며 연구결과 항공사와 여행사간 유통관계특성은 갈등에 항공사와 여행사 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 항공사와 여행사간 갈등은 파트너십 성과에 항공사와 여행사 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한 항공사와 여행사간 유통관계특성은 파트너십 성과에 항공사와 여행사 모두 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다.

A Novel Routing Algorithm Based on Load Balancing for Multi-Channel Wireless Mesh Networks

  • In this paper, we study a novel routing algorithm based on load balancing for multi-channel wireless mesh networks. In order to increase the network capacity and reduce the interference of transmission streams and the communication delay, on the basis of weighted cumulative expected transmission time (WCETT) routing metric this paper proposes an improved routing metric based on load balancing and channel interference (LBI_WCETT), which considers the channel interference, channel diversity, link load and the latency brought by channel switching. Meanwhile, in order to utilize the multi-channel strategy efficiently in wireless mesh networks, a new channel allocation algorithm is proposed. This channel allocation algorithm utilizes the conflict graph model and considers the initial link load estimation and the potential interference of the link to assign a channel for each link in the wireless mesh network. It also utilizes the channel utilization percentage of the virtual link in its interference range as the channel selection standard. Simulation results show that the LBI_WCETT routing metric can help increase the network capacity effectively, reduce the average end to end delay, and improve the network performance.

중소형 프랜차이즈 유통시스템에서 가맹점의 갈등에 관한 질적 연구 - 토대이론 접근법을 활용하여- (A Study on Causes of Franchisee's Conflict in Distribution Channel of small and middle sized Franchise Industry)

  • 본 연구는 중소형 프랜차이즈 시스템이 시장에서 급격하게 생겨남에 따라 유통시스템에서 발생되는 가맹본부와 가맹점 사이의 갈등에 대해 가맹점 입장에서 겪게 되는 다수의 갈등을 토대이론 접근법을 활용하여 좀 더 깊이 있게 파악하였으며, 그 갈등 요인 해소를 위해 본부와 가맹점이 어떻게 해야 하는지 몇 가지를 제언하였다. 연구결과, 가맹점의 갈등은 크게 11가지로 입지 선정 및 상권 유지의 문제, 매출 규모별 차별대우, 계약에 의한 주종관계로 인식, 예고 없는 ITEM(메뉴) 변경 및 공급량 감소, 일방적인 인테리어 공급자 선정, 현금 지급 및 신용여신운영 미실시, 자율 경영의 통제, 비효율적인 커뮤니케이션, 비합리적인 납기문제, 일방적인 정책 운영, 일관되지 않은 지원 등으로 구분되었다. 이러한 갈등을 최소화하고 더 나은 경로성과를 창출하기 위해서 본부의 인식 전환과 Win-Win 할 수 있는 공동의 목표 수립이 본부와 가맹점 모두에게 필요하다. 또한 가맹점은 본부의 강력한 지원을 제공받으며 차별화 된 노하우로 지역 상권의 특성을 살려 나름대로의 전문성을 강화하여 자기 상권에 맞는 서비스를 차별 제공함으로써 스스로 경쟁력을 갖추어 나가야 할 것이다.

프랜차이즈 유통경로상의 갈등에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구 : 슈퍼바이저의 상거래태도와 업무전문성의 조절효과를 중심으로 (A Study on the Factors Influencing on the Conflicts Perceived by Franchise)

  • Purpose - Recently actively growing franchise systems distribution channel system in which franchise headquarter compared with franchise occupies an important place in distribution channel. Due to this, franchise and franchise headquarter are interdependent on task and in this situation the goal they go after, motivation and objective are probably inconsistent. If so, possibility to participate goal setting process or operating activity of opposite side is becoming bigger and in the end conflict may generate. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of the supervisor's attitude and expertise as moderating factors in the relationship between goal-incongruity/coercive power/role-incongruity and the conflict perceived by franchisee. Research design, data and methodology - This study was intended to verify how the supervisor's attitude and expertise as moderating factors in the relationship between goal-incongruity/coercive power/role-incongruity and the conflict perceived by franchisee. In order to achieve the purpose of this study, some study models and hypotheses have been established through theoretical examinations. Then, using these scales, the researcher completed the questionnaire survey. To test our hypotheses, the survey was conducted from March 9, 2016 for 20 days by random sampling, The study was implemented through a descriptive survey method using a self-administered questionnaire. A survey of 124 restaurant franchisee across Seoul and Gyeonggi Province was performed. A total of 124 completed responses were analyzed. In this study, I used SPSS 22.0 to analyze data and did frequency analysis to see demographic, and general features of the respondents; also did exploratory factor analysis to examine the validity of the items of measurement. Factor analysis was first calculated at a minimum, the number of factors, principal component analysis used when variables are committed to maximising the information with (principle component analysis) and the rotation of factors were angry about the great variable factors than 1.0 by applying Varimax rotation. In addition, I used the value of Cronbach's (Alpha) to examine the reliance of questionnaire items, final analysis the reliability factor can be found both high reliability hayeoteumeuro exceeds over 0.6 and did Multiple regression analysis to test hypothesis and also did hierarchical regression analysis to examine moderating effect. Results - To analyze the proposed model, according to the analysis result, it was found that the influence of goal-incongruity, coercive power, and role-incongruity on the perceived conflict of franchisee is moderated by the supervisor's attitude and expertise. That is, the more the supervisor's attitude and expertise were positive, the more the conflicts of the goal-incongruity, coercive power, and role-incongruity were decreased. It also confirmed previous research's finding that goal-incongruity, coercive power, and role-incongruity positively influence on the conflict. Conclusions - According to the results of this research which reduces the conflict of franchise from the in consistent goal; coercive power, and inconsistent role of superiors, it provides very important implications for franchise headquarter which has franchise system and also give them some suggestion about how to recruit superiors and what kind of training may be fit for the superiors.

소비자파워에 의한 갈등이 경로관리에 미치는 영향

  • The concern of external environment is growing up in the field of channel distribution. In the former channel distribution, the channel distribution environment is little bit unmoveable owing to a powerful manufacture control against poor distributor. Therefore intra-efficiency is channel member's core interest. The structure of channel governance, however, come to be changable because of the mature distributor power against manufacturer such as a Price Break, JIT of channel governance, and a serial of change. Accordingly, it is acceptable that the interest of external-environment of channel members' is more and more enlarged, and external-environment change in the channel distribution make the serious problems in intraorganizational system. Thus, it is meaningful that this study try to discover the consumer power as external environment factor and to find the best strategy to overcome this consumer power. Resource dependence theory, Transaction cost theory, Political Economic Approach, and Working partnership Approach are the theory foundation of the reasearch. Apparel franchise is a sample to analyse the hypothesis and correlation and multi-regression are a chief tools to estimate the hypothesis. Thus, the above results imply that a flexible governance is appropriate to consumer power, conflict is not intervening value between consumer power and channel governance, and the channel member's satisfaction can be confirmed in the flexible governance better than control governance.

공동마케팅제휴에 있어 상호의존성과 갈등의 관계에 대한 연구 (An Empirical Investigation of Relationship Between Interdependence and Conflict in Co-marketing Alliance)

  • 본 연구는 지금까지 유통분야에서 제조업자와 판매업자간에 관계를 연구해오던 상호의존성의 개념을 판매업자간의 공동마케팅 제휴관계에 적용하였다. 제휴관계에 있는 양자 간의 의존성과 상호의존성이 갈등에 미치는 영향을 사회학 분야에서 상호의존성과 갈등 간의 관계에 대해 상반된 견해를 제시하는 이론인 갈등 나선형 이론과 쌍무적 억제이론으로 설명해보고자 하였다. 기존의 연구들이 설문을 통해 변수간의 관계를 파악하였다면, 본 연구에서는 이동통신사와 공동마케팅 제휴관계에 있는 181개 기업의 거래데이터 및 설문을 동시에 이용하였으며 상호의존성의 선행요인으로 거래기간, 거래빈도, 거래선의 수, 거래특유자산 등의 변수를 도출하여 상호의존성과의 관계를 파악하였다. 실증분석결과, 이통통신사의 제휴서비스 환경에서는 상호의존성의 총합이 증가할수록 갈등수준 역시 증가함을 알 수 있었으며 따라서, 상호의존성과 갈등간의 관계를 설명하기 위해서는 쌍무적 억제 이론 보다는 갈등 나선형 이론이 더 적합함을 알 수 있었다. 아울러, 이동통신사의 관점에서는 거래기간, 거래빈도, 거래특유자산이, 제휴파트너 관점에서는 거래빈도, 거래특유자산, 거래선의 수가 각각 상대방에 대한 의존성에 영향을 미치는 요소로 도출되었다. 이를 통해 이통통신사 및 제휴파트너 관점에서 효율적인 갈등관리 전략을 제시하였으며 학문적 시사점들과 연구의 한계점에 대해 제시하였다.

  • Marketing channels have been characterized as social systems by the recent channel literatures. Under this assumption, many channel behavioral theories were developed by examining hypothetical relationships among several channel variables. Among them, interrelationship of channel cooperation with other variables has been one of major concerns to channel managers. From this point of view, the objective of this paper is to examine the role of cooperation in the franchise system of garments goods. In order to achieve our goal, data was collected from garment retailers and a simple random sample of 150 dealers was drawn and tested. Major findings through the data analysis are as follows : 1. Higher levels of dependence lead to higher levels of cooperation. 2. Noncoercive sources of power tends to increase intrachannel cooperation. However, the hypothesis that higher levels of coercive sources of power will lead to lower levels of cooperation was not statistically supported. 3. Another hypothesis that higher levels of conflict will lead to lower levels of cooperation was partially supported. 4. Higher levels of cooperation lead to higher levels of cooperation. In this study, data was gathered from the retail side of the franchise channel dyad for garments goods. Therefore, future research are suggested to investigate respondents of both sides(franchiser and franchisee) of the channel dyad.

Channel Allocation Strategies for Interference-Free Multicast in Multi-Channel Multi-Radio Wireless Mesh Networks

  • Given a video stream delivering system deployed on a multicast tree, which is embedded in a multi-channel multi-radio wireless mesh network, our problem is concerned about how to allocate interference-free channels to tree links and maximize the number of serviced mesh clients at the same time. In this paper, we propose a channel allocation heuristic algorithm based on best-first search and backtracking techniques. The experimental results show that our BFB based CA algorithm outperforms previous methods such as DFS and BFS based CA methods. This superiority is due to the backtracking technique used in BFB approach. It allows previous channel-allocated links to have feasibility to select the other eligible channels when no conflict-free channel can be found for the current link during the CA process. In addition to that, we also propose a tree refinement method to enhance the quality of channel-allocated trees by adding uncovered destinations at the cost of deletion of some covered destinations. Our aim of this refinement is to increase the number of serviced mesh clients. According to our simulation results, it is proved to be an effective method for improving multicast trees produced by BFB, BFS and DFS CA algorithms.

  • In the Web 2.0, besides more gaining information on the web, the number of web sites that take advantage of RSS increases explosively. Commonly each users search RSS channels through the web search engine before registering RSS channel's url to the RSS reader. Users judge whether the site is RSS channel or not and register an RSS channel's url through theirs interests. Because accomplished by users themselves, those processes conflict to user's convenience and quick consumption of information. Techniques of current search engines can't provide users with reliable RSS feed information as search results. In this paper, we analysis appropriateness of current search engines' techniques that offer users RSS feed search service and discuss their limitations. Also, we make up RSS feed database through classification of RSS tag being possible to search RSS feed information effectively and apply update rate of each RSS channel's feed to ranking algorithm providing more reliable search results.
