Environmental Performance Evaluation(EPE) is a key process of Corporate Environmental Management. This paper presents the results of an empirical survey on the status of current practices in EPE of Korean firms. Based on a corporate environmental management(CEM) model, which is initially developed by Hibbitt and Kamp-Roelands(2001) and modified in terms of EPE, the survey is peformed on the population of Korean firms, which are composed of firms certified as "environmentally friendly" by Korean government and/or certified under Is014001, and compares its results with those of Europe's. Although the relatively low response rate and some methodological limitations makes us be cautious about the interpretation, the results shows many interesting aspects of the current states of Korean firms' EPE practices. That is, the levels of EPE implementation in the environmentally-leading companies of Korea are almost the same as that of European companies, I. e., in the-final-part-of-developing-stage (3rd stage) level of the CEM model. It is also shown that as In Europe's case, Korean firms are also moving slower in external relationships than in internal control and management, are more developed in the parameters like environmental policy, Internal control, Information system, which are requirements of certification under Is014001, than in parameters like life cycle analysis and full cost accounting, which requires more research efforts, etc.orts, etc.

Electronic voting is one of information technology service to handle a wide range of functions, including registration, certification, input and results of voting, using electronic technology, depending on the degree of automation. It helps voters exercise their voting rights not only for individual suffrage but also for major corporate decisions as shareholders by expressing their opinions regardless of geographical and time constraints. Such electronic voting helps open and expand voting participation, but on the contrary, it is possible to identify who voted and what kind of vote, such voting cannot guarantee confidentiality. Therefore, if blockchain technology is applied to electronic voting, it can increase the speed of processing and confidentiality by encrypting voting information. In this regard, the study aims to identify institutional issues on how electronic voting can be activated at a company's shareholders' meeting, and to find ways to overcome the limitations of existing electronic voting by utilizing the technical characteristics of blockchain. This study proposes a consortium-type blockchain-based electronic voting system to enhance the convenience and reliability of electronic voting for shareholders' meetings. In addition, this paper suggests how to enhance shareholders' profits through electronic voting at shareholders' meetings, as well as its policy measures and future improvements.

This study looks at the reading related qualifications that examine the issues into the curriculum of reading-related qualifications specifically. The results of analysis, 278 reading related qualifications are both operated by the private non-accredited. And reading related qualifications system was required the effort and systematic enhancement of the quality management system of education information. On the basis of the survey, It is proposed operational plans for the quality of reading-related qualifications by cooperation of the private and government that are utilized as a reference in the promotion policy.

We study the possibility of entering into helicopter market with respect to demand, industry structure and infrastructure. In conclusion, it is possible to enter into it based on domestic demand if we complement some technology, financial assistance system and helicopter operation related regulation. Strategy is made for helicopter industry to be a growth driver and then we suggest five projects to carry out it. Those are lasting creation of helicopter demand, possession of core part material and competitive technology, construction of airworthiness certification system and infrastructure for activation of helicopter operation, improvement of financial assistance system and finally strengthening policy modulation between civil, army, and government.

Recently the Korean government also has strictly restricted a law such as GBCC(Green Building Certification Criteria)and RPS(Renewable Portfolio Standard) on the construction. Especially the government announced a obligation of renewable energy consumption over 12% for all the public buildings of total area over 1,000㎡ since 2014. Regarding to the policy, this study presented the economics of energy analysis of the public office buildings that supplies 12% renewable energy output in the early stage of construction project. This paper calculated on CO₂ emission by the geothermal, solar heat, and solar photovoltaic system and estimated the saving cost. Reduced cost through the energy saving are predicted to influence on the total construction cost. As a result air pollution and energy saving cost are expected that renewable energy system would be saving total initial cost of construction on planning phase.

By the environment-friendly(hereafter EF) agricultural policy and toward the safety food of consumers, there is much glowing supply and demand fur EF agricultural products, in Korea. But, in general, EF agricultural products are blown as unique, unreasonable and high price system. This study aims to make clare the main bodies and competition structure in EF agricultural products and the different from the agricultural products. The mail results of this study are summarized as follows. Firstly, farmers and consumers directly participate in the distribution, and the major distributors participate in the market of EF agricultural products after the certification system is got ready. Because EF agricultural products is not dealt and the price system is not built up in agricultural wholesale market. Secondly, the distribution route of EF agricultural products is organized the unified organization by the main bodies such as farmers, consumers co-op, and special distributors. In any step of distribution, the main body of distribution surely deals with the contracted farmers, consumers co-op, and special distributors. Accordingly, it is said that EF agricultural products has the competition structure between the distribution route organized the unified organization rather than between main bodies in the each steps of distribution.

The objective of this paper is to provide a review on the latest development on the main initiative and approaches for the sustainability criteria for biofuels. A large number of national and international initiative lately experienced rapid development in the review of the biofuels targets announced in the European Union (EU), United States (US) and other countries worldwide. The global biofuel targets are likely to have a strong impact on land use and agricultural markets. Although biofuels production provides new options for using agricultural crops, there are environmental, social and economic concerns associated with biofuel production. The diversity of feedstock, large number of biofuels pathway an their complexity lead to a high uncertainty over the greenhouse gas (GHG) performances of biofuels, in terms of GHG emission reductions compared to the fossil fuels, expecially if land use change is involved. This paper describes an overview of current status of ongoing certification initiative in Europe and worldwide for biofuels sustainability. It also provides mandatory requirements as part of an sustainability scheme in EU, United Kingdom, US and international approaches and should be reviewed to introduce based on global trends in Korea.

The magnetic field of the extremely low frequency that occurs in the substation facilities was surveyed to present ways to broaden understanding of the magnetic field characteristics. We have investigated the level of the magnetic fields in the substation areas and control rooms of 25 substations in the metropolitan area in accordance with the measurement method of IEC CISPR(IEC/TC106 PT 62110). We propose objective and reliable policy approaches such as the electromagnetic field certification system to more accurately understand the property of magnetic field.

The market-based fisheries resources management system was reviewed and the improvement scheme was studied for seeking the sustainability of marine ecosystems and their fisheries resources. A demand-side policy is currently emerging to the management of fisheries resources by reducing over-exploitation, based on the consumer's selection. The role of consumers in the sustainable fishery was studied by comparing the social responsibility and consumer's activity between Korea and foreign countries and international NGO groups, based on the FAO guideline. The adoption of the Marine Stewardship Council (MSC)'s eco-labelling certificate was suggested by expanding the existing environment-friendly certification system in Korea. This new system will contribute to the protection of young immature fish and spawners in coastal and offshore fisheries as well as to the international trade of seafood in terms of fish products from well-managed fisheries. It is noted that the consumer's activities in the markets as regulators will contribute to the ecosystem health and sustainability.

This study is to improve plan for the law and regulation systems on the perpendicular greening with containers to improve urban environment. The supports backed by laws and regulations are imperative for the activation of building greening. Although some local administrations in Korea try to lead perpendicular greening on building by means of Green Building certification system and so on, greening policies and managements are not pushed forward with consistency. Therefore building greening should be admitted to be a substitute green tract of land. The positive construction and management of greenzone should be accomplished as well. Devices, so to speak, which put greening under an obligation or authorize it as legal landscape area should be made rather than recommendations to make greenzone through current incentive systems. Positive perpendicular greening on building can be achieved by supplementing the law and regulation and incentive system about simplified planter. If planting and managing of simplified planter are continually entrusted to residents, even vertical landscapes will be affected by illegal diversion and negligence in result. Therefore, supports from governments and local administrations are needed.
