Parallel-fed Multiple Loop Antenna for 13.56MHz RFID Reader

  • In this paper, we suggest a new antenna structure for RFID(Radio Frequency IDentification) reader. Conventional RFID reader uses a loop antenna. The central area of a loop antenna shows a low magnetic field strength especially for the case of a large loop antenna diameter. We propose a parallel-fed multiple loop antenna. Simulation results and measured results show that we can adjust field distribution with the number of turns and diameter of an inner loop antenna to obtain a longer reading distance. Simulation results for the specific case of a proposed antenna structure show that at the center point of a proposed parallel-fed multiple loop antenna, the typical card area averaged magnetic field strength is 2.53A/m, which is higher than the case of a conventional type single loop antenna of 0.44A/m and the case of a series-fed multiple loop antenna of 0.96A/m when we drive with same source signal. We realized the antenna for the case of 13.56MHz RFID reader and the performance of reading distance was much more improved than the case of a conventional antenna.

알코올 용액에서의 N-에틸아세트아미드의 재배향 운동 (Reorientational Motion of N-Ethylacetamide in n-Alcohols)

  • 핵자기공명분광법으로 일련의 n-알코올 용액에서 N-에틸아세트미드(NEAA) NH-기의 $^1H-NMR$ 스펙트럼을 310~350k 온도 영역에서 찍어내었다. $^{14}N$-핵에 짝짓기를 한 $^1H$-스펙트럼의 선모양을 분석하여 NEAA의 재배향 상관관계시간 ${\tau}_c$를 얻었다. 용질과 용매의 상호작용은 용매의 사슬 길이가 증가하면서 감소하는 것을 실험 데이타는 보여주고 있다. 그러나 알코올 용매에서 재배향 운동은 실험한 온도영역에서 용매의 η/T에 거의 선형적으로 비례하였다. 그 결과를 subslip 현상으로 고찰하였다.

계절 ARIMA 모형을 이용한 여객수송수요 예측: 중앙선을 중심으로 (Forecasting Passenger Transport Demand Using Seasonal ARIMA Model - Focused on Joongang Line)

  • 본 연구는 중앙선의 여객수송수요를 효율적으로 예측하기 위한 방법으로 계절성 요인을 고려한 ARIMA 모형을 제안하였다. 특히, 최근의 관광수요를 반영하기 위하여 2013년 4월 개통되어 운행되고 있는 중부내륙권 관광전용열차(O-train, V-train)의 수요를 포함하여 예측모형을 구축하였다. 이를 위하여 2005년 1월부터 2013년 7월까지의 월별 시계열 데이터(103개)를 사용하여 최적의 모형을 선정하였으며 예측결과 중앙선의 여객 수송수요는 지속적으로 증가할 것으로 나타났다. 구축된 모형은 중앙선의 단기수요를 예측하는데 활용이 가능하다.

아날로그 신호처리를 이용한 백색광 간섭 피크의 검출 (Detection of White Light Interference Peak Position utilizing Analog Signal Processing)

  • 고속으로 간섭피크의 위치를 찾기 위해 일련의 아날로그 신호처리를 수행하는 백색광간섭(WLI)센서용 신호처리 방식을 고안하고, 이를 WLI 온도센서 시스템에 적용하였다. 새로운 신호처리방식을 적용한 결과 잡음은 $0.019^{\circ}C/\sqrt{Hz}$로 측정되었으며, 선형성도 우수하였다. 그러나 보상용 간섭계에서의 온도변화가 센서출력의 드리프트로 나타났으며, 현재의 구성에서 드리프트의 온도 의존성은 $1.42{\mu}m/^{\circ}C$인 것으로 계산되었다. 또한 간섭피크간 간격이 광원의 가간섭길이에 비해 충분히 넓지 않은 경우 간섭무늬 피크의 간격과 신호처리기가 측정한 피크 간격과의 관계가 비선형적으로 나타날 수 있음도 확인하였다.

선양치성낭의 임상 및 병리조직학적 분석 (CLINICAL AND HISTOPATHOLOGIC ANALYSIS OF GLANDULAR ODONTOGENIC CYSTS OF THE JAWS)

  • The glandular odontogenic cyst is an uncommon odontogenic cyst as a distinct entity. We reviewed a series of 7 glandular odontogenic cysts of the jaws experienced between 2003 and 2006 at the department of Oral and Maxillofacial surgery, Chosun university. The study group consisted of 3 females (42.9%) and 4 males (57.1%), with an age range of 31 to 75 years and mean age was 58.6 years. The maxilla was involved in 5 cases (71.4%) and the mandible in 2 cases (28.6%). Three cases involved impacted tooth. Clinically 6 cases showed swelling and tenderness. All the lesion presented well-defined unilocular radiolucent lesion radiographically. Provisional clinical diagnosis was varied, incisional biopsy was done in 1 case. Histopathologically, those were lined by non-keratinized stratified epithelium and thickened epithelial segments (plaques) are seen within the lining epithelium. And epithelial lining contains eosinophilic cuboidal type cells, mucous cells and mucin pools in microcystic areas are identified. All cysts were treated by enucleation. All cases are not recurred during follow up period.

COSMOLOGY WITH MASSIVE NEUTRINOS: CHALLENGES TO THE STANDARD ΛCDM PARADIGM

  • Determining the absolute neutrino mass scale and the neutrino mass hierarchy are central goals in particle physics, with important implications for the Standard Model. However, the final answer may come from cosmology, as laboratory experiments provide measurements for two of the squared mass differences and a stringent lower bound on the total neutrino mass - but the upper bound is still poorly constrained, even when considering forecasted results from future probes. Cosmological tracers are very sensitive to neutrino properties and their total mass, because massive neutrinos produce a specific redshift-and scale-dependent signature in the power spectrum of the matter and galaxy distributions. Stringent upper limits on ${\sum}m_v$ will be essential for understanding the neutrino sector, and will nicely complement particle physics results. To this end, we describe here a series of cosmological hydrodynamical simulations which include massive neutrinos, specifically designed to meet the requirements of the Baryon Acoustic Spectroscopic Survey (BOSS) and focused on the Lyman-${\alpha}$ ($Ly{\alpha}$) forest - also a useful theoretical ground for upcoming surveys such as SDSS-IV/eBOSS and DESI. We then briefly highlight the remarkable constraining power of the $Ly{\alpha}$ forest in terms of the total neutrino mass, when combined with other state-of-the-art cosmological probes, leaving to a stringent upper bound on ${\sum}m_v$.

1999년 1월의 황사 발생시 부산지역의 부유분진 특성 (Characteristics of suspended particulate for Yellow sand of January, 1999 in Busan)

  • This study was performed to research the characteristics of suspended particulate for Yellow Sand of January, 1999 in Busan. Yellow Sand frequency during 13 years(1988~2000) in Busan showed maximum in April(57%), next to March(21%), May(16%). According to result of 850hPa weather map and backward isentropic trajectory, this event originated from the Gobi Desert and the Loess Plateau of China. And three mode was found in time series of TSP and PM10 concentration, primary peak showed the maximum hourly concentration at ali station. Gamjeondong as industrial site showed the highest TSP concentration and also had the longest high concentration($geq700\mu\textrm{g}/m^3$). In PM10, concentration of primary peak showed maximum value at Yeonsandong, maximum concentration of secondary and third peak was Deokcheondong. Lasted time from primary peak to secondary peak was about 30 hours, between secondary peak and third peak was 18 hours in Busan, The traveling time between occurrence of Yellow Sand the finding of it was 8~9 hours in Busan and 4~5 hours in central area.

  • This study about the Zoot Style is the first part of a series of research, which is to examine various subcultural styles in 1900s. The main concern of this research is to investigate the origin of a style, the way how it developed, and the reason it appealed to people. Subculture is a marginallized culture which the subordinal groups in the social structure developed as a means of reaction against the dominant groups of a society. The clothes and decorations of these groups can be regarded as the central expressions of exclusiveness, loyalty and identities for their groups. In 1990s, the distinction between the subcultural style and high fashion tend to be blurred, because it has gained more influence on the high fashion. Zoot Suit, adopted and diffused by Cap Calloway in 1940s, is the code of a subculture formed by a special race, class, space, gender, and generation identities. It develops as a reaction, and consequently reflects the struggles against the dominant culture: it is to refuse, appreciate and ridicule the dominant style. The Zoot Style had a great influence both in Paris and Cuba: the Zazous Style in Paris and the Caribbean Style of Cuba are the subcultural styles branched from the Zoot Style.

Optimal fiber volume fraction prediction of layered composite using frequency constraints- A hybrid FEM approach

  • In this research, a hybrid mathematical model is derived using the higher-order polynomial kinematic model in association with soft computing technique for the prediction of best fiber volume fractions and the minimal mass of the layered composite structure. The optimal values are predicted further by taking the frequency parameter as the constraint and the projected values utilized for the computation of the eigenvalue and deflections. The optimal mass of the total layered composite and the corresponding optimal volume fractions are evaluated using the particle swarm optimization by constraining the arbitrary frequency value as mass/volume minimization functions. The degree of accuracy of the optimal model has been proven through the comparison study with published well-known research data. Further, the predicted values of volume fractions are incurred for the evaluation of the eigenvalue and the deflection data of the composite structure. To obtain the structural responses i.e. vibrational frequency and the central deflections the proposed higher-order polynomial FE model adopted. Finally, a series of numerical experimentations are carried out using the optimal fibre volume fraction for the prediction of the optimal frequencies and deflections including associated structural parameter.

GMA 초층용접에서 이면비드 생성을 위한 최적용접조건의 선정 (Selection of an Optimal Welding Condition for Back Bead Formation in GMA Root Pass Welding)

  • In GMAW processes, bead geometry is a criterion to estimate welding quality. Bead geometry is affected by welding current, arc voltage, welding speed, shielding gas and so on. Thus the welding condition has to be selected carefully. In this paper, an experimental method for the selection of optimal welding condition was proposed in the root pass welding which was done along the GMA V-grooved butt weld joint. This method uses the response surface analysis in which the width and height of back bead were chosen as the quality variables of the weld. The overall desirability function, which is the combined desirability function for the two quality variables, was used as the objective function for getting the optimal welding condition. Through the experiments, the target values of the back bead width and the height were chosen as 4mm and 1mm respectively for the V-grooved butt weld joint. From a series of welding test, it was revealed that a uniform weld bead can be obtained by adopting the optimal welding condition which was determined according to the method proposed.
