A study on photovoltaic system has a lot of problems. Such as repetition experiment in the same condition, development of MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) algorithm, development of islanding detection algorithm and so forth. The reason Is that solar cell output characteristics are varied by insolarion and surface temperature of solar cell. Therefore, the assistance equipment is required which emulates the solar cell characteristics. In this paper, propose the new modeling of solar cell and verify this modeling using MATLAB simulation. And experiment virtual implement of solar cell system using this modeling.

The current-voltage characteristics of solar cell has been analyzed using MicroTec in this paper. The current-voltage characteristics represents a efficiency of solar cell. The part of metal contact is doped highly, but active region is doped lowly. We have investigated the current-voltage characteristics according to variation of doping concentration from $10^{14}cm^{-3}$ to $10^{17}cm^{-3}$. We has also determined the doping concentration to obtain the maximum efficiency of solar cell, and analyzed this current-voltage characteristics.

In this paper, we design and analyze a Ka-band microstrip line to rectangular waveguide transition using the expanding-cell FDTD method. The transition under investigation consists of a ridged waveguide, microstrip line, and $\lambda$/4 Chebyshev impedance transformer. To improve the accuracyand efficiency, the expanding-cell FDTD method is applied to analyze the characteristics of a ridged waveguide impedance transformer. To verify the accuracy of the expanding-cell FDTD method, S parameters of the analyzed transition are compared with those of experimental data. The efficiency of the present approach is verified by comparing the computational time for expanding-cell and that for fine cell. The relation between the number of step and operation bandwidth is analyzed by comparing the characteristics of four and three step Chebyshev waveguide impedance transformer.
Power converter are usually equipped for fuel cell power generation system to connect alternating current (AC) electric power grid. When converting direct current (DC) of fuel cell power source into AC, the power converter has a frequency ripple, which affects the fuel cell and the grid. Therefore, an equivalent circuit having dynamic characteristics of fuel cell power, for example, impedance, is useful for designing an inverter circuit. In this study, the current, voltage and impedance characteristics were calculated through fuel cell modeling and validated by comparing them with experiments. The equivalent circuit element values according to the current density were formulated into equations so that it could be applied to the circuit design. It is expected that the process of the equivalent circuit modeling will be applied to the actual inverter circuit design and simulated fuel cell power sources.

Tissue engineering has been extensively investigated and proffered to be a potential platform for novel tissue regeneration. The utilization of mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) from various sources has been widely explored and compared. In this regard, MSCs derived from bone marrow have been proposed and described as a promising cell resource due to their high yield of isolated cells with colony-forming potential, self-renewal capacity, MSC surface marker expression, and multi-lineage differentiation capacities in vitro. However, there is evidence for bone marrow MSCs (BM-MSCs) both in vitro and in vivo from different species presenting identical and distinct potential stemness characteristics. In this review, the fundamental knowledge of the growth kinetics and stemness properties of BM-MSCs in different animal species and humans are compared and summarized. Finally, to provide a full perspective, this review will procure results of current information studies focusing on the use of BM-MSCs in clinical practice.

Laser cutting cell of solar cells can achieve high voltage and efficiency through more array than conventional 6 inch cell compared to same area. In this study, we fabricated c-Si cutting cell with various lasers and laser conditions such as power, speed, and number of times. In the case of picosecond laser, excellent surface characteristics were obtained due to small surface defects and low thermal damage at the output of 20W and the speed of 100 mm/s. However, it is not possible to fabricate a cutting cell having good characteristics due to nonuniform cutting inside the wafer when the processing for forming a cutting cell is not sufficiently performed. For nanosecond lasers, the best wafer characteristics were obtained for fabrication of excellent cutting cells at a frequency of 500 kHz and a laser speed of 100 mm/s. However, the nanosecond laser has not been processed sufficiently in the condition of a number of times. As a result, it was confirmed that the wafer thickness was cut by $63{\mu}m$ of the cell thickness of $170{\mu}m$ in the condition of five times of laser process. It was found that more than 30% of the wafer thickness had to be processed to fabricate the cutting cell. After cutting the 6-inch cell having the voltage of 0.65 V, we obtained the voltage of about 0.63 V.

The transient characteristics of the Mg/Air fuel cell were ascribed to the load current, electrolyte concentrations, air electrode area and electrode distance. It was found that transient phenomena occurred in the load current, which is due to activate of the oxidation and reduction reaction process. The transient time increase with the load current increase. The transient characteristics were investigated with regard to internal resistance. The maximum power output analysis was employed in order to explain the delayed action under various experimental conditions. The internal resistances had a significant effect on the transient characteristics. The transient curves thus obtained were in almost agreement with internal resistance characteristics.

CTL cell that is one of the standard electromagnetic generation equipment can measure the characteristic of the electromagnetic susceptibility and the electromagnetic interference. In case of being input the same magnitude signal with the phase difference of 0o or the phase difference of 180o at two input ports of CTL cell to be the fundamental resonant frequency(TE011) of 2.20GHz, the characteristics of the electric field and the magnetic field at the uniform area were measured. And, it measured the electric field characteristic due to the variation of the input power, the test position and the input frequency under the dominant E-field and the dominant H-field of CTL cell. Using these mesuremed data, it examined the operation characteristic and the available frequency band of CTL cell.
The variations of the positive and negative electrode potentials, and of internal pressure were measured during the charge of the sealed type Ni-Cd cell. Both polarization characteristics of a paste type Cd-electrode as a gas diffusion electrode in 30% KOH solution and the effects of active carbon electrode as an oxygen consuming auxiliary electrode of the Ni-Cd cell on the charging characteristics of the cell were studied. Peak voltage at the end of charge of the cell is ascribed to the peak at the negative electrode potential, which is due to the concentration polarization by the lack of $Cd^{++}$ ion and oxygen concentration. And the recovery of the negative electrode potential is resulted from depolarization by the increasing diffusion limiting current density with the increasing oxygen pressure. The active carbon electrode was effective as an oxygen consuming auxiliary electrode. The internal pressure of the cell could be maintained below 200mmHg even at one hour rate charge and overcharge by the use of active carbon electrode as an auxiliary electrode.

The tandem solar cell composed of a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSC) and a thermoelectric generator (TEG) was designed. In such new cell, the characteristics of DSC and TEG were investigated. DSC uses the wavelength range of 380∼750 nm and has the maximum efficiency of below 10 %. If the solar light transmitted through DSC can be converted to heat energy, TEG can generate electric energy using this heat energy. By this means, it is possible to utilize most of solar energy in the wavelength range of 350∼3000 nm for electric generation and it can be expected to obtain higher solar energy conversion efficiency exceeding the known limit of maximum efficiency. For this purpose we suggest the tandem solar cell constructed with DSC and TEG. In this structure, DSC has a carbon nanotube film as a counter electrode of DSC in order to collect the solar light and convert it to heat energy. We measured the I-V characteristics of DSC and TEG, assembled to the tandem cell. As a result, it was shown that DSC with carbon nanotube and TEG had the efficiency of 9.1 % and 6.2 %, respectively. From this results, it is expected that the tandem solar cell of the new design has the possibility of enhanced conversion efficiency to exceed above 15 %.
