The purpose of this study was to investigate structural relationships among engineering self-efficacy, outcome expectation, interest, learning persistence, and career preparation behavior of engineering students. Participants (n=428) completed measures of engineering self-efficacy, outcome expectations, interests, learning persistence, and career preparation behavior. Results from structural equation modeling analysis were found to support the proposed model which included learning persistence and career preparation behavior, influence from engineering self-efficacy, outcome expectations, and interests. In addition, major persistence intention and career preparation behavior of engineering college students are influenced by the direct and indirect effects on engineering self-efficacy, interest, and outcome expectations. The implications of the findings on practice for Korean engineering college students are discussed.

Recently, domestic universities have emphasized career path to start-up through entrepreneurial self-efficacy (ESE) and entrepreneurship. The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of ESE on entrepreneurship of university students. Also we examine the moderating effects of entrepreneurial education and career uncertainty between ESE and entrepreneurship. Research sample consisted of 236 university students in Cheonan city. The results of this research is as follows: First, ESE showed a positive effects on entrepreneurship. Second, the moderating effect of entrepreneurial education was significant on the relationship between ESE and entrepreneurship. In other words, university students with a higher entrepreneurial education showed higher entrepreneurship when ESE was lower. But students with a lower entrepreneurial education showed higher entrepreneurship when ESE was higher. Finally, the interaction effects of career uncertainty was confirmed in relationship between ESE and entrepreneurship. In other words, university students with a higher career uncertainty showed higher entrepreneurship when ESE was higher. But students with a lower career uncertainty showed higher entrepreneurship when ESE was lower. In order to improve the entrepreneurship of the pre-founders, it is necessary to strengthen the behavior control of university students by enhancing the ESE. Also, the improvement of entrepreneurship of pre-founders should strengthen the ESE of university students, and should complement systematic and effective entrepreneurship education. In particular, we should provide the stability for career decision by eliminating uncertainty about the career path of university students.
As part of the free semester program, the 'Gardener for a day' program in the Korea National Arboretum was newly developed in 2018. The program was developed as a free semester program reflecting the works of a 'gardener' who performs the planning, preparation, maintenance and management of exhibition gardens. This 'Gardener for a day' program was applied to a total of 106 middle school students in October 2018. Educational elements were extracted from Korea National Arboretum exhibition gardens and career exploration of gardeners. The program was designed to provide education on theory and practices, including watching the gardener video, visiting the gardener booth, meeting with actual gardeners at Korea National Arboretum, visiting two exhibition gardens, and participating in three types of practical training as a gardener. A survey about program satisfaction and education was conducted after the program to analyze the students' satisfaction with the program (contents, management, instructor), free semester program (career planning, occupational attitude, independence), and education (awareness of forest biospecies, preservation will). The analysis showed that the following results: satisfaction with the program (score 4.0), free semester program (score 3.8), and education (score 4.0). Comparative analysis of the pretest-posttest questionnaires showed that there were significant educational effects in career planning, occupational attitude, and awareness of forest biospecies.
Purpose - Recently, entrepreneurship education has been revitalized with interest in entrepreneurship. Entrepreneurship education is an educational service activity that is provided for entrepreneurship and individual start-up success within a certain period of time. According to previous studies on entrepreneurship and entrepreneurship, the satisfaction of entrepreneurship education affects entrepreneurship and as a result increases entrepreneurship. In recent years, the number of female entrepreneurs has also increased as the number of entrepreneurial issues has increased. Based on previous studies, this research proposed the theoretical framework about the structural relationships among mentoring quality (career development, psychological social, role modeling), education satisfaction, recommendation intention and entrepreneurial intention. This study is to find out the possibility of attempting to create a theoretical basis for entrepreneurial mentoring education in entrepreneurship education program. Research design, data, and methodology - In this model, mentoring quality consists of three sub-dimensions such as career development, psychological social, and role modeling. In order to test research model and hypotheses, the data were collected from 203 female college students who participated in entrepreneurial education. The data were analyzed using frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equational modeling with SPSS 24.0 and SmartPLS 3.0 statistical program. Result - The results of the study are as follows. First, role modeling has a positive effect on recommendation intention and entrepreneurial intention. Second, career development has a strong negative effect on the entrepreneurial intention. Third, career development and role modeling had a positive effect on educational satisfaction, and educational satisfaction had positive influence on recommendation intention and entrepreneurial intention. Conclusions - As women's social advancement becomes more active, start-up support programs including entrepreneurship mentoring are increasing. The results of this study suggest how to use the mentoring program mix and how to allocate the resources for the education program when the entrepreneurial education manager plans and executes the mentoring education program. For example, this study shows that career development and role modeling enhance educational satisfaction, and in turn increase recommendation intention and entrepreneurial intention. This means that entrepreneurship education should consist of contents that include career development functions such as sponsorship, guidance, protection, and provision of challenging work. In addition, the findings of this study indicate that mentors should perform the function of allowing the participants to have confidence and professional thinking ability at the time of start up based on their experiences.
The purpose of this study is to analyze foodservice and culinary arts majors' career preparation behavior by grade and career decision-making self-efficacy levels. Toward this end, 250 students majoring in foodservice and culinary arts were selected as a sample from three universities located in Chungcheong province. A total of 217 copies of the questionnaire were analyzed after excluding 33 copies. The results of this study are as follows. First, upper-grade students were more actively engaged in career exploration, information collection, experiencing behavior, and career preparation behavior than lower-grade students. Second, the level of career preparation behavior of the group with higher career decision-making self-efficacy was higher than the other with lower career decision-making self-efficacy. Third, the interactive effects of career decision-making self-efficacy and grade on career preparation behavior proved to be statistically insignificant Thus, career decision self-efficacy should be improved and the foundation of structured career education should be established according to grade.

The purpose of this study was to examine the basic academic achievement of technical high school students, their learning capability about major, their adaptability to school instruction and whether those factors of them was linked to their career in an effort to suggest workable reform measures. Technical high school seniors to grasp their basic learning capabilities and their opinions on the curricula. The findings of the study were as follows: First, the civil engineering students at technical high school weren't fully able to understand what they learned because of their poor basic achievement. They should take all the required courses to fix their academic deficiencies in the first year of high school, and client-centered additional education should be provided about particular subjects, such as mathematics, which they should learn to study their major. Second, many of the students chose technical high school through the advice of parents or since they weren't able to go onto academic high school. So they entered technical high school without knowing well about their major, and vocational education wasn't properly publicized. As students make a critical career decision in middle school, the government should build permanent pavilions for vocational-education exhibition where interested students can acquire information and explore their career without any restraints. Current fragrant vocational education that is based on experiential learning should be avoided. Third, the government substituted regular classroom teaching for field practice, and that resulted in providing just uniform instruction, destroying learning atmosphere and eventually holding teachers back from offering quality education. To remedy the situation, two different sorts of classes should be prepared. One type of classes are for college- bound students, and the others are for job-seeking students. College- bound students should receive education about humanities to improve their academic deficiencies, and job-seeking seniors should be allowed to take field-practice courses at authorized companies in the second semester. It's advisable personally and socially to help ensure their successful and immediate social adjustment.

As basic data about students' career education in high school are being managed only in forms of NEIS, which is supported by Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, and the information for career education that homeroom teachers have operated by off-line system, it is hard to use them as practical decision support system for students' career education. In this study, we intend to design and embody web-based Student Management Total System by constructing DB of students' e-portfolios, school records and counselling data etc. And our ultimate goal with this system is helping teachers to carry out more effective career education geared to each individual student's talent and aptitude by integrating and sharing information about their career on the web site systematically.
The purpose of this study was to investigate pre-service early childhood teachers' procedures for entering college, their perception of major areas of satisfaction and career progression. The subjects of this study were 522 students majoring in early childhood education in Busan. The findings of this study were as follows. First, the major motivation of entering into college for these students majoring in early childhood education was 'to become an early childhood teacher'. Second, the majority of students majoring in early childhood education were satisfied with their majors for their aptitude for studying in this area. Third, the most commonly expressed employment preference for such students was that of a public kindergarten teacher due primarily to job security and appropriate rates of pay.
