어린이 독서캠프의 효과적 운영 방안에 대한 연구 - 국립어린이청소년도서관의 "도서관과 함께 책읽기" 사업을 중심으로 - (A Study on the Effective Operation of Reading Camp for Children: in the Case of 'the Reading with Library Program' in the National Library for Children and Young Adult)

  • 본 연구에서는 국립어린이청소년도서관에서 소외된 어린이를 위한 '도서관과 함께 책읽기' 사업과 연계한 프로그램으로 운영되었던 독서캠프 사례를 통하여 문제점 및 개선점을 조사하고 효과적인 독서캠프 프로그램으로 운영되기 위한 방안을 제안하였다. 이를 위하여 전국 6권역에서 개최된 독서캠프의 운영 사례를 조사하였다. 또한, 독서캠프에 참가한 어린이와 사서에게 독서캠프에 대한 의견을 설문지로 조사하여 독서캠프 운영상의 문제점을 파악하였다. 이러한 결과를 바탕으로 효과적인 독서캠프 프로그램의 운영 방안을 제시하고 개선방안을 도출하였다.

저체중 또는 과체중 청소년에서 캠프 프로그램을 이용한 영양 교육효과에 관한 연구 (The Evaluation of a Nutrition Education Camp Program for Overweight and Underweight Adolescents)

  • This study was performed to evaluate the effectiveness of a nutrition education program developed for nutritionally imbalanced adolescents. A summer nutrition camp was held for 23 overweight and 16 underweight subjects. Its effectiveness with regard to was evaluated at the end of the camp and 6 months later. Nutrition knowledge, nutritional attitude, food behavior, nutrient intake, exercise habit and ideal body figures desired by the subjects. The results showed significantly higher nutrition knowledge scores at the end of the camp as compared to those obtained prior to the camp program, and these scores were maintained for at least six months. Nutrition attitude scores also improved after the education program, and these improved scores also lasted for 6 months. However, the food behavior scores measured 6 months after the education program were not significantly different from those obtained prior to the camp. Also, the exorcist habit, the ideal body figures and the body figures desired by the subjects remained unchanged. When nutrient intakes of subjects were assessed before the program and 6 months later, the mean daily vitamin C intake was significantly increased after the education program. Also, the intake of iron from plant food sources increased in the overweight subjects, while less iron from animal source were consumed by the underweight subjects. Both groups tended to consume more vegetables and fruits 6 months after the education program which may have contribute to the higher vitamin C and plant-based iron intakes. These results indicate that a 4-day nutrition education camp program sustained changes in nutrition knowledge and nutrition attitude for 6 months. The increased intake of vegetables and fruits was also achieved through this education program. However, changes in dietary behavior in adolescents may require repeated education. 당뇨캠프 프로그램이 당뇨병 환아의 우울, 자기효능감, 자기존중감에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Diabetic Camp Program on the Depression, Self-Efficacy and Self-Esteem in Diabetic Children and Adolescent)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of diabetic camp program on depression, self-efficacy and self-esteem of the juvenile diabetic patient who had participated with diabetic camp program at Seoul and Kyung In area from August 5 to August 9, 1995. Nursing staffs explained them how to respond to the questionnaire of depression, self-efficacy and self-esteem prior to beginning the program and following the program. The questionnaire of depression, self-efficacy and self-esteem was developed by both diabetes mellitus nurse specialist and pediatric nursing professors in reference with the previous research. Response items of the questions were structured as yes or no for the elementary school students and that of the questions were structured as 5 likert scale for the both middle and high school students. Paired t-test was used for the significance of the difference between values before and after the dia betic camp program. Depression decreased following the program, while self-esteem increased significantly following the program in elementary school students. There was no change in self-esteem, while self-efficacy increased significantly following the program in noddle and high school students. Self-efficacy following the program was high as the frequency of exercise increased In the elementary school students. Self-efficacy prior to the program was high as the experience of diabetic education increased in the middle and high school students. Self-efficacy and self-esteem prior to the camp was highly correlated with that following the camp in middle and high school students. The result suggests that diabetic camp program could be one of ways to decrease depression and to increase self-efficacy of the diabetic children.

THAMS Clinic Camp 운영을 통한 융합인재 양성 방안 연구 (A Study to Train Student with Interdisciplinary Abilities through THAMS Clinic Camp)

  • The aim of this study suggest the THAMS Clinic Camp program to train the interdisciplinary students with humanistic knowledge as well as the skills to perform the scientific and engineering works. Since the future of society is required students with the ability to elicit an emotional empathy, THAMS Clinic Camp program has been planed and performed from year 2012 based on the comprehensive liberal learning. The average employment rate over the past three years of the students who participated in THAMS Clinic Camp program showed 7% better than the overall average employment rate of Andong National University. The another visible educational outcomes of the THAMS Clinic Camp program are following; i) To take place the conversion of recognition for the interdisciplinary activity by breaking down the walls between fragmented disciplines to students and ii) To provide the opportunity that students will understand the past and refocus the current to have the idea to plan for the future in the right direction.

  • To make up extended and intensive sensory integration program, Korean Society of Sensory Integration Therapist(KSSIT) planned and practiced sensory integration camp. Camp were held during 5 days and 7 children with sensory integrative dysfunction were participated in the camp. COPM, Sensory profile, STEP-SI and interview were used for deciding the therapy goals. For preparing the camp, therapists did seminars, discussion and get advices form specialists in US and Japan. Through the camp, as the theme, not only children and parents got the chance of challenging but also therapists challenged by themselves. For this camp KSSIT expected to build up more effective sensory integrative program and research.

  • Objective : Korean Academy of Sensory Integration(KASI) planned and executed sensory integration Therapy Camp to serve intensive sensory integration program for children with the sensory integrative dysfunction, to support their family with parent' education and home programs, and to suggest practical guideline for therapists through individual supervision and demonstrations. Methods : The camp was held during 5days in the children's center for developmental support that set up sensory integration tools. The camp executed the individual and group interventions that consisted of 7 children with sensory integrative dysfunction, especially dyspraxia and 7 therapists who manage them and 6 supervisors. Results : Children which served the intensive intervention showed the improved adaptive responses during the camp and their parents reported the satisfaction degree of the camp program was 83%. Their therapists also had a chance to understand the broader sensory integrative interventions through the supervision. Conclusion : To provide the clients for qualitative sensory integration service, the camp must be programmed that children with the sensory integrative dysfunction can service the intensive sensory integration program and their therapists can actually experience reeducation individually through supervision and demonstrations.

An Analysis of the Jeju Beach Science Camp Program Based on the HASA Curriculum and a Survey of Preference

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the Jeju beach science camp program and to survey the participating students'' preference levels for the activities included therein. The camp programs were analyzed on the basis of the standards set for the HASA curriculum. The program's "manipulatory skill" area included many manipulatory and creative activities while the "inquiry area" included many basic and integrated inquiry activities. It was also indicated that the "knowledge area" included many activities appropriate for understanding concepts and principles while the "attitude area" included many activities appropriate for stimulating curiosity and enjoyment. Thus, it could be seen that the areas stipulated for the HASA curriculum were considerably consistent with the purpose of the science camp. The participating students showed preference for manipulatory and creative activities included in the program. They also preferred basic, inquiry level activities included under the area of "inquiry skills." It was identified that the students most preferred the conceptual stage included under the area of "knowledge" where they were required to grasp the common characteristics of events, things, and phenomena, as also the enjoyment stage included under the "attitude" area, where they were required to participate in pleasant science activities. These findings indicate that science camp programs should be composed of manipulatory and creative activities as well as activities that aim at basic research and the understanding of concepts.

독서캠프 프로그램을 통한 독서활동 전개에 관한 연구 - 독서지도자와 집단지도 대상자와의 상호 독서활동을 중심으로 - (A Study of Relationship between the Reading Activities and the Reading Camp Program)

  • 독서지도자와 지도대상자간의 상호 독서활동을 전개하는 독서캠프 프로그램을 2000년도에 네 번 실시하는 과정에서 나타난 독서지도자와 지도대상자간의 독서활동에 관한 반응은 다음과 같다. $\circled1$ 독서지도자와 지도대상자들은 모두 독서캠프 프로그램에 적극적으로 참여했으며 지도대상자들이 더 적었으며, 자신의 생활관이나 독서관을 확립하는 계기는 독서지도자가 더 긍정적으로 나타났다. 독서캠프 프로그램에 참여하는 독서지도자나 지도대상자 모두 자신의 독서생활을 향상시키는데 많은 도움을 얻었는데, 특히 독서지도자가 더 많은 것을 터득하는 것으로 나타났다.

소아 당뇨병 환자의 자기효능증진을 위한 건강캠프 프로그램의 효과 (An Effect of the Health Camp Program for Promoting Self-efficacy in Juvenile Diabetes Mellitus Patients)

  • The purpose of this study was to determine an effect of the health camp program on self-efficacy, sick-role behavioral compliance and glucose metabolism in juvenile diabetes mellitus patients. The quasi -experimental study was designed using a nonequivalent control group pre-posttest design with the framework of Bandura's self-efficacy theory. Forty-two juvenile diabetes mellitus patients participating in this study were selected from outpatients. Of these, twenty-one were assigned to the experimental group and twenty-one to the control group. The period of data collection was from August 8 to December 9 in 1994. The health camp program for the experimental group was carried out over 6 days and the control group did not participate in the program. Collection data was analyzed by means of chi - square test, t - test, ANCOVA, Pearson correlation with SPSS /PC+. The result were summarized as follows: 1. The health camp program was effective in in-creasing the scores of self-efficacy for juven-ile diabetes mellitus patients. 2. The health camp program was effective in increasing the scores of sick - role behavioral compliance for juvenile diabetes mellitus patients. 3. The health camp program was not effective in decreasing the levels of glucose metabolism. 4. The more self-efficacy increased, the more sick - role behavioral compliance increased. 5. Boys showed the higher self-efficacy than girls and the group with diabetes patients whose family members are also patients, showed the higher self-efficacy and sick-role behavioral compliance than the group without diabetic patient among the family members. Thus, it can be concluded that the health camp program was a useful health intervention for juvenile diabetes mellitus patients.
