소비자의 Internet 및 e-Biz 이용에 대한 태도적 특성 -한국과 일본의 옥션 사이트 비교분석- (The Attitude Characteristics of Consumers using Internet & e-Biz - A Comparative Analysis on Korea & Japan's auction websites -)

  • The main purpose of this study is to statistically analyze the difference between Korea and Japan's consumer attitudes towards e-commerce through the use of auction websites. Here are the results. First, there was a significant difference between the Korean user's attitude and the Japanese user's attitude towards Internet usage; especially, the Japanese user's attitude towards convenience showed a much higher degree than that of the Korean user. Second, Korean users preferred brand image to price, while Japanese users preferred price to brand image. Third, both the Korean users and the Japanese showed a positive relationship between Internet usage and the use of e-commerce. In contrast to the Korean user's frequent use of the bulletin board, Japanese users tended to use the bulletin board less frequently.

  • The rapid exchanges of mobile computing environment and development of wireless communication are providing many effects for learning activity of students. Recently, PDA system developers which are studying memory capacity, communication speed and size of screen support techniques to be capable of learning from students in the wireless or moving environment. In this viewpoints, this paper has a purpose to design multimedia learning system to be able to do with sound lecture contents. The implemented system largely consists of two parts which have the teacher module and students module. The one manages learning progress of students, class management, bulletin board and etc. The other is capable of using studying and bulletin functions. The main idea of this research is focus to upgrade the effect of learning without almost treating the existing studies, which can be listening sound lecture and also seeing text and image at the same time.

  • In today's age when telecommunications using satellite has become part of our daily lives, one has to be employ preventive measures to avert any possible danger, of which solar activity is the major cause. Coronal mass ejections (CMEs) heading towards the Earth can lead to disturbances in the Earth's magnetosphere, if their magnetic field is oriented southward. Monitoring of solar filaments in this case becomes very very crucial, as their eruption is associated with most of the CMEs. Also, filaments show activation up to a few hours prior to launch of a CME and thus can provide advance warning. In this study, we present an algorithm for the detection of solar filaments seen in the extreme ultraviolet (EUV) from Atmospheric Imaging Assembly (AIA) on board the Solar Dynamics Observatory (SDO). Various morphological operations are employed to identify and extract the filaments. These filaments are then tracked in order to determine their size and location continuously.

  • The elementary school age is a critical period in the formation of environmental attitudes, environmental knowledge, and sensitivity. In this study, we examined how they affect environmental education programs that utilize traditional culture in the 6th grade of elementary school students' environmental attitudes. Attitudes questionnaire and activity sheets were analyzed to figure out the change in attitude of the students, we analyzed the activity sheets. As a result, the environmental education program that utilize traditional culture had a positive impact on the improvement of elementary school students' environmental attitudes. Analysis of students' Internet bulletin board posts, the amount of writing was increased. In addition, the sensitivity to the environment of the students were changed. Students, was considered not related to their environmental problems. However, after programming experience, they found that environmental problems are directly related to them.

  • For the purpose of developing ‘Web-Based Nutritional Education Program’, this study did instructional analysis, analysis of entry behaviors and learner characteristics to select instructional contents for nutritional education program for junior/senior high school students. Survey questionnaires were distributed from October 21, 2002 to October 26, 2002 to a total of 564 junior/senior high school students in Seoul. The total number of questionnaires collected and used in our study was 479, which is 84.9% of the total questionnaires distributed. As a result of the curriculum analysis of ‘Technology-Home economics’, subjects related with ‘food and nutrition’ in the 7$^{th}$ educational course study result, lessons including the contents of food and nutrition were ‘nutrition and meal of adolescent’ in 7th grade, ‘family meal management’ in 9th grade and ‘practice of home life’ in 10th grade. According to the curriculum analysis, ‘nutrition’ and ‘food’ were chosen for the superior subjects of nutrition education program and four subordinate subjects per superior one were developed. Then, entry behaviors and learner characteristics were analyzed: life characteristics, internet usage, anthropometrics data and nutritional knowledge. Students were interested in using computer and preferred passive activity to dynamic activity. According. to the analysis of internet usage, WBI for students should composed active parts such as game, moving image, immediate reply and follow-up bye-mail, bulletin board and com- munity activity. Students’ BMI were in normal range but they were lacked nutritional knowledge. We wrote performance objectives that were specific behavior skills to be learned, the conditions under which they must be performed and the criteria for successful performance. The next step for developing the WBI nutrition education program would be based on the results mentioned above.

국가 연구개발을 위한 웹기반의 과제관리 시스템 (A WEB-BASED PROJECT MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR GOVERNMENT R&D PROGRAMS)

  • Government R&D Project Management in Korea has had considerable difficulties because of the lack of project monitoring systems and insufficient communication. The National Program for Tera-level Nanodevices (TND Program) is a ten-year R&D program for commercialization in the area of nano technology. Collaboration and communication among the various participants such as business companies, universities, and government R&D institutes are key success factors in this R&D program. TND Program office has developed a Web-based project management system. This system consists of mostly four sub-management functions: (1) Milestones management of all R&D projects; (2) DR (Design Review) management as the mechanism for checking the performance against milestones; (3) Project activity management using the WBS (Work Breakdown Structure); (4) Budget management. Additionally, it also has many R&D supporting functions such as technology information bulletin board, community management, and visual summary of project progress and performance. This system is effective for monitoring research project as well as measuring project performance of the overall research program. This Web-based system has become the useful tool of R&D moving target mechanism and effective communication and collaboration tool. System features and adoption process of the system are also suggested.

Recent Activities in Space Environment Engineerings in Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency

  • Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA) has measured space environment and its effects on spacecraft and astronaut since 1987. At present, we have operated space environment monitors onboard one GEO spacecraft, one QZO spacecraft, and two LEO spacecrafts. The obtained space environment data has been gathered into the Space Environment and Effects System database (SEES, http://sees.tksc.jaxa.jp/). In this presentation, measurement result of space environment in low earth orbit obtained by the Daichi satellite from 2006 through 2011 is reported as well as recent activities in space environment engineerings in JAXA. The Technical Data Acquisition Equipment (TEDA) on board the Daichi satellite (Advanced Land Observing Satellite: ALOS) had been operated in low earth orbit at 700 km altitude with 98 degree inclination from February 2006 until April 2011. The TEDA consists of the Light Particle Telescope and the Heavy Ion Telescope. The operation period of the Daichi satellite was through the solar-activity minimum period. The space radiation environment around the Daichi satellite had been almost stable. However, large solar flares followed by CMEs sometimes disturbed the space radiation environment in the orbit of the Daichi satellite. In addition, high speed solar wind often flowed and modulated the electron flux in the horn region. On the other hand, a little variation was seen in the SAA region.

  • 이 연구의 목적은 대학에서 혼합학습 환경에서 한 학기동안 강좌를 운영하고, 학습자들의 혼합학습에 대한 반응과 인식을 알아보는 것이다. 연구 목적을 달성하기 위하여 다음과 같은 연구문제를 설정하였다. 학습자들의 혼합학습에 대한 반응과 인식은 어떠한가? 연구를 위해 혼합학습 환경을 설계하고 15주간 수업을 진행한 후 게시판과 로그 파일을 분석하였으며, 혼합학습 운영 결과에 대한 반응을 알아보기 위해 설문을 하였다. 연구결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 상당히 많은 학생들이 온라인상에서의 학습을 선호하며 온라인상에서의 활동에 적극적으로 참여한다. 둘째, 사이버상에서 수업을 할 때 매체에 대한 신중한 선택을 해야 한다. 셋째, 교수자의 다양한 역할이 필요하다는 사실을 확인하였다. 따라서 전통적인 오프라인 수업과 온라인 수업을 혼합하는 혼합학습의 효과적인 설계와 운영은 의미있다고 할 수 있다.

  • 전자게시판은 비동기적으로 생각을 교환하고 정보를 공유하는 적절한 매체로써 널리 인식되어왔다. 게시판의 의사소통 능력은 협력학습을 위한 도구로 사용하는 주된 이유이다. 최근 이 분야의 연구자들은 게시판의 교육적 활용에 대한 연구결과를 다수 보고하고 있다. 이 논문에서는 게시판에서의 의사소통 활동을 측정함으로써 토의 참여자들의 복잡한 토의 행동을 정량적으로 이해할 수 있는 분석적 방법을 제안한다 토의 집단이나 개인들의 토의 행동을 기술하기 위한 특성 벡터를 제안한다. 이 특성 벡터는 토의 집단과 개인에 대한 특성화와 비교를 편리하게 할 수 있도록 한다. 상호작용 활동을 표현하는 상호작용 모델은 토의 그룹과 개인에 대한 상호작용 정도를 시각적으로 나타낸 준다. 또한, 시간에 따른 토의 활동을 분석하기 위해 시간 종속적인 측정을 탐구한다. 전자 게시판을 사용한 웹 기반 토의 프로젝트를 통하여 제안한 측정이 어떻게 이루어지는지, 또 특성 벡터와 상호작용 모델이 어떻게 구축되고 사용되는지를 실험을 통하여 보여준다.

전자우편을 활용한 문항 기반 학습 시스템 개발 (Development of an Item Based Learning System Using E-mail)

  • 본 연구에서는 기존의 웹기반 학습시스템이 가지는 학습자의 동기유발이 미흡한 측면과 대규모 학습자의 동시 접속시 병목현상 및 제한된 상호작용에 따른 학습자의 동기 저하와 같은 문제점들을 해결하기 위해 전자우편을 활용한 문항 기반 수준별 학습 시스템을 제시한다. 제시된 시스템은 다음과 같은 특징을 갖는다. 첫째, 학습자는 수준에 따라 필요한 문항을 전자우편을 통해서 제공받고 제공된 문항을 풀고 이에 대한 결과 및 도움을 학인하는 과정을 통하여 학습에 대한 동기 및 흥미를 자연스럽게 부여받을 수 있다. 둘째, 교수자는 웹상에서 별도의 도구없이 손쉽게 문항을 제작함으로써 문항은행 데이터베이스를 효과적으로 구축하고 학습자가 전자우편을 통하여 수행한 학습 결과를 자동으로 확인하여 학습자의 학습 상태를 효과적으로 관리할 수 있다. 마지막으로 교수자와 학습자가 간편한 방법으로 의사소통을 할 수 있는 대화방 메커니즘을 구축함으로써 학습 시스템의 상호작용성과 질의 및 응답의 용이성을 극대화하였다.
