교량 신축부 허용 침목간격 검토 (Review on the Allowable Sleeper Spacing at a Bridge Expansion Joint)

  • It is increasing construction of long span railway bridge with concrete track system for speed up of railway and efficient maintenance of track. As the sleeper of the concrete track system layed on a bridge is fixed on deck of the bridge, the displacement of the sleeper and deck is same. Therefore, the spacing between two sleeper installed at the end of the adjacent deck near the expansion joint of bridge becomes vary according to the longitudinal expansion of a deck by temperature change. By the way, if the spacing of sleepers become increase excessively, it causes large bending stress of in a rail, and it can leads failure or reduction of fatigue life of the rail. Further more, the excessive displacement of the rail may induce decrease ride comfort as well as corrugation of rail surface. Therefore, it is required to determine the allowable maximum sleeper spacing to prevent such problems. For the purpose, investigation on the influence factor on sleeper spacing for straight track was carried out. Variation of bending moment in a rail, wheel force, and the ratio of primary and secondary deflection of the rail according to sleeper spacing was investigated, and, as a result, the maximum allowable sleeper spacing at the bridge expansion joint was suggested.

장대교량 신축부에서 침목간격 확대가 차량의 주행안전성 및 궤도의 구조안정성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Expansion of Sleeper Span at the Deck End of a Long Continuous Bridge on Train Safety and Track Stability)

  • Long continuous bridge deck can become contracted considerably as temperature drops, which can lead to a large expansion of sleeper span at the end of it. Since this huge sleeper span then can cause problems both with safety of train operation and structural stability of tracks, it is necessary to take the issue into consideration systematically in the designing process of the bridge. In this paper, an evaluation process through the analysis of train-track interaction was presented which can basically review the effects of the expansion of sleeper span at the end of long continuous bridge deck on the safety of the train and the structural stability of the track. The analyses of the interaction between the light rail train and tracks were carried out targeting the sleeper span as a main parameter. The safety of train operation and structural stability of tracks in a light rail system due to the expansion of the sleeper span were evaluated by comparing the numerical results with the related criteria.

유연다물체동적해석을 이용한 무도상교량 침목패드의 최적 강성 산정 (Optimum Stiffness of the Sleeper Pad on an Open-Deck Steel Railway Bridge using Flexible Multibody Dynamic Analysis)

  • 레일장대화는 무도상교량의 소음, 진동, 충격 등의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 경제적인 방안 중 하나이며, 최근 연동식 침목고정장치를 이용한 SSF 공법이 개발된 바 있다. 이 연구에서는 연동식 침목고정장치 적용 시 레일 높이 조정 및 열차 통과 시의 충격 흡수를 목적으로 교량침목 하부에 삽입되는 침목패드의 최적 연직강성을 결정하는 과정을 제시하였다. 침목패드의 최적 연직강성 결정을 위하여 관련 기존 기준을 검토하였으며, 유연다물체동적해석을 통하여 침목패드의 연직강성 변화에 따른 주행안전성, 승차감 및 궤도의 안전성에 대한 지표들과 교량 응답 변화를 검토하였다. 유연다물체동적해석은 상용프로그램인 ABAQUS와 VI-Rail을 이용하여 수행하였다. 수치해석은 30m 상로판형교에 대한 교량모델을 이용하여 수행하였으며, 침목패드의 연직강성이 7.5kN/mm ~ 240kN/mm로 변화할 때 ITX 새마을, KTX 및 화차 통과 시의 응답을 산정하였다. 수치해석에 적용된 궤도구성품 조건에서 침목패드의 최적 강성은 100kN/mm로 산정되었다.

교량신축부에서의 궤도틀림 저감을 위한 활동체결구 및 침목결속 효과 (The Effect of the ZLR and Tied Sleeper to Reduce the Track Irregularity in the Bridge Expansion Joint Zone)

  • In recent time, the cause analysis and the reduction of the track irregularity have become the most important issue in the ballasted track on the high-speed railway bridge. This is because that the frequency of the maintenance work at the bridge expansion joint zone is on the rise. The track irregularity on the railway bridge starts at the end of the bridge-deck and spreads along the bridge. Due to the dynamic vibration and the thermal expansion of the bridge, the compaction of the ballast gravel on the bridge expansion joint zone become loose and then the progress of the track irregularity result from the train-induced dynamic impact is accelerating further. Among the several options for reducing the track irregularity on the bridge expansion joint zone, the application and efficiency of the zero longitudinal restraint(ZLR) and tied sleeper are investigated in this paper. Field test construction has been conducted, then the progress of the track irregularity and the frequency of the maintenance work are analyzed before and after the filed test construction. Of the two methods, it is shown that the installation of the ZLR seems to be better than the tied sleeper.

  • It was estimated that the anti-vibration measures at the source location of railroad are the most active and effective ones. Among CWR(Continuously Welded Rail), elastic rail fastener, floating slab, ballast mat, under sleeper pad, etc. like these various kinds of measures in the source, under sleeper pad as an anti-vibration measure was constructed at the railroad track supporting structures in the Jeon-la Line. In this study, through the field measurement of vibration at the railroad track supporting structures and nearby the ground, the vibration reduction effect of under sleeper pad were evaluated by insertion loss. As a result, vibration reduction effects were 5.0∼12.5㏈ on the concrete slab of the bridge, 3.9∼7.5㏈ on the ground nearby the bridge respectively.

  • This paper presents the analysis results to evaluate the application of separation sleeper boot of turnout in concrete track in subway. An analysis includes the dynamic load on turnout-bridge and the ballast improvement method of upbound and down line independent girder in servicing line. From the results, the aspect and the property of separation sleeper boot of turnout are evaluated. FE analysis explain the relationship between independent bridge and track behaviour of dynamic loads. The assessment of application based on FE analysis results in a good improvement method of servicing subway line is proposed.

  • The continuous welded rail(CWR) track without the rail expansion joint has many advantages over the conventional track in a variety of fields including the speed-up and the ride comport. However, due to the excessive axial force in the CWR and the track-bridge interactive behavior, inevitably, the rail expansion joint must be installed at the vulnerable zone such as the bridge end zone, etc. In this rail expansion joint zone, the frequency of the maintenance work to repair the track irregularity is on the rise. This is because that the creep of the sleeper is occurred in the moveable zone of the rail expansion joint. In this study, among the several options for reducing the track irregularity on the rail expansion joint zone, the application and efficiency of the tied sleeper is investigated. Field test construction has been conducted, then the progress of the track irregularity and the frequency of the maintenance work are analyzed before and after the filed test construction.

  • Parametric studies are executed by numerical method varying then number of strain gauges, rail section and distance of sleeper from which the followings are obtained. Wheel forces or lateral forces are measured by connecting eight strain gauges on rail to single Wheatstone bridge. The method eliminates the influence of interaction and measured stability. Strain gauges are fastened on the neutral axis of the rail so as not to be influenced by sleeper.

도시철도 교량상 급곡선 자갈궤도용 콘크리트침목 손상원인 분석 (Damage Cause Analysis of Concrete Sleepers for Sharp Curved Track on Urban Railway Bridge)

  • 약 본 연구에서는 도시철도 교량상 급곡선(R=180m) 구간에 부설되어 있는 침목 하부에 방진패드가 부착된 자갈도상 궤도구조의 콘크리트침목 손상유형에 대한 원인을 검토하고, 침목중량화 및 도상자갈 개량에 따른 콘크리트침목의 손상저감 효과를 분석하였다. 이를 위해 대상 교량에 부설되어 있는 콘크리트침목의 손상(균열) 발생 유형을 조사하였으며, 종합검측차를 활용하여 획득한 궤도틀림과의 상관관계를 통해 비교·분석하였다. 또한 수치해석 프로그램을 활용하여 궤도구조별 콘크리트침목 구성품에 발생하는 응력을 검토하여 개량에 따른 콘크리트침목의 손상 저감 효과를 입증하였다. 분석결과 궤도틀림이 심한 구간에서 침목의 축방향 균열이 주로 발생하였으며, 수치해석결과 궤도구성품 및 콘크리트침목에 발생하는 응력은 4-Anchor를 사용하는 체결구조에서 하중 분산 효과에 따라 발생하는 응력 수준은 작게 나타났다.
