정지시기에 의한 '신사기가께2호' 고추의 품질과 수량 (Effect of Training Time on Quality and Yield of 'Sinsakigake-2' Pepper)

  • 정지시기가 '신사기가께2호' 고추의 생육 및 수량에 미치는 영향을 구명하기 위해 본시험을 수행하였다. 정지유인 방법은 4주지를 유인하고 측지를 3절에서 적심하였으며 정지를 정식 후 20, 45, 70, 95일 후에 실시한 처리구와 방임을 대조구로 하였다. 정지시기별 분지수는 정지시기가 빠를수록 많았다. 과중은 처리간 차이가 없었고 상품율과 주당 상품과수는 정식 후 70일 처리구가 가장 높았으며 방임구에서 가장 낮았다. 조기수량은 정식 후 45일 처리를 제외하고는 유의적인 차이가 없었다. 상품수량은 정식 후 70일 처리구에서 가장 높았고 방임구에서 가장 낮았다.

창고설치문제를 위한 새로운 해법 (A New Method for Warehouse Location Problem)

  • The purpose of this paper is to find a new method for the warehouse location problem. Akinc and Khumatvala developed a branch and bound algorithm for a one-stage problem, that is, plants and warehouses are at the same location. This paper extends this method to a two-stage problem, that is, plants, warehouses and users are located at different sites, and further this paper allows direct flows from plants to users. The new method is tested at Perkins-Elmer. The test shows that the algorithm is efficient.

홍조 붉은실속 식물의 분류학적 재검토: 누은새붉은실과 가시새붉은실의 형태와 생식 (Taxonomic Reassessment of the Genus Polysiphonia (Rhodomelaceae, Rhodophyta): Morphology and Reproduction of Neosiphonia decumbens and N. harlandii)

  • Neosiphonia is separated from the traditionally well known genus Polysiphonia (Rhodomelaceae, Rhodophyta) and 12 species includes in Korea. In this study, the vegetative and reproductive developments of two Neosiphonia species, N. decumbens (Segi) M.S. Kim et I.K. Lee and N. harlandii (Harvey) M.S. Kim et I.K. Lee, are reinvestigated. N. decumbens is diagnosed by following combination of the characters: plants 1-3 cm high, dwarf, decumbent, main axes indistinct, irregularly branched in dichotomous manner, and alternately or secundly ramified with wide angles above. N. harlandii is distinguished by the features: plants 4-8 cm high, usually solitary and saxicolous, erect, densely corticated at base of distinct main axes, rather irregularly alternate in branch, and with cicatrigenous branchlets developed numerously on every part of frond. The two species share typical characteristics of the genus Neosiphonia, such as a base attached by unicellular rhizoids, cut off by cross wall, pericentral cells in 4, trichoblasts moderately developed near the apex of branches, leaving persistent scar-cells, tetrasporangia arranged in a spiral series, procarps with 3-celled carpogonial branch, and spermatangial branches arising as a primary branch of trichoblast. Taxonomy of the two Neosiphonia in regard to Polysiphonia is discussed.

  • Tap lines are small branch piping generally less than two inches in diameter. They typically branch off of header piping having a much larger diameter. An example of a common tap line is a 3/4 inch size high point vent or low point drain. Most tap lines have at least one valve near the header tap connection to provide isolation. Two valves are often required for double isolation. A light water reactor(LWR) nuclear power plant will have several hundred tap lines. These lines come in many sizes and shapes and serve numerous functions. A single process piping valve may have three different tap lines associated with it (figure 1). Table 1 delineates the different categories of tap lines. Vibration failures of tap lines are a common occurrence in all industrial plants including nuclear and fossil power plants. These types of failures constitute a significant percentage of all piping related failures. An unscheduled plant shutdown or outage resulting from the failure of a tap line decreases plant reliability and may have a detrimental effect on plant safety. Most tap line vibration failures can be avoided through the use of appropriate routing and support techniques. Standardized designs can be developed for use in a myriad of applications. These designs will not only minimize failures but will also reduce the necessary analysis and installation efforts.

도계육에 대한 미생물 오염실태 조사 (Survey of bacterial contamination of chicken meat)

  • In order to monitoring the chicken meat hygiene, 165 chicken samples were tested for contamination agents such as the total bacterial counts, coliform bacterial counts and falling bacterial counts. The prevalence of level on number of standard plate count, total bacterial counts in less than $10^3\;cfu/cm^2$, $10^3{\sim}10^4\;cfu/cm^2$ and $10^3-10^5\;cfu/cm^2$ was 30 samples(18.2%), 98 samples(59.4%) and 37 samples(22.4%), respectively. The coliform bacterial counts in less than $10^2\;cfu/cm^2$, $10^2{\sima}10^$\;cfu/cm^2$ and $10^3{\sim}10^4\;cfu/cm^2$ was 7 samples(42.2%), 66 samples(40.0%), 92 samples(58.8%), respectively. The falling bacterial counts in plants was higher 9.1 in summer, 8.4 in fall, 7.2 in spring and 6.7 in winter, in order.

  • 본 연구는 배지 구성물질로서 폐펄라이트와 폐암면 입자를 함유한 다양한 생육배지에서 포인세티아의 생산 가능성을 구명하기 위하여 수행되었다. 두 가지 폐배지를 위주로 1:1과 1:3을 포함한 다양한 부피비로 혼합한 10가지 조합으로 실험하였으며, 25% 폐펄라이트:75% 피트모스의 혼합배지를 대조구로 하였다. 초장, 근장, 최대 가지 길이, 뿌리수, 엽면적, 포엽장과 포엽폭은 폐펄라이트를 함유한 배지에서 대조구에 비해 큰 유의차를 보였다. 하지만 경경과 포엽수는 차이가 없었다. 본 결과로 폐펄라이트와 폐배지의 포인세티아 식물의 재배 시 재활용의 가능성이 입증되었다.

겨우살이의 종자의 기주목 접종 및 유묘 활착기술 (Germination and Seedling Induction of Viscum album var. coloratum (Kom.) Ohwi after Artificial Inoculation on the Branch of Host Plants)

  • Berries of Korean mistletoe (Viscum album var. coloratum [Kom.] Ohwi) contained one seed, which have, in general, one or two embryos but very rarely three embryos. Mucilaginous substances in berries may help them adhere to the branches of host trees. It was observed that seeds need more than one and half years to develop into normal and healthy seedlings from the time of inoculation. Many factors such as adhesion of berry, thickness of host branch, orientation of haustorial root, etc. influenced the successful development of mistletoe plants. Through the application of six-year observation results on the germination of seeds and growth of seedlings, about 80% of germination rate for mistletoe seeds and 61% of survival ratio for germinated seeds, which is more than 23 times higher in natural conditions, were obtained after inoculation of seeds on the one-year-old branches of Malus pumila var. dulcissima and Quercus mongolica trees. The technological aspects of the success can be applied to other host plants and provide a critical clue to an artificial propagation system, for this medicinally valuable genus. This is the first successful report on artificial inoculation and plant development of Korean mistletoe.

Shattering-related Characteristics and Germination Speed Based on Grain Type and Esterase Isozyme Zymogram in Korean Off-rype Rice

  • This study was carried out to investigate the characteristics of shattering habit and germination of offtype rice plants collected in Korea which were classified into seven groups based on grain characteristics. In the long-grain red rice group, the short-grain red rice group, the long-grain normal rice group, and the long-grain waxy rice group, the tensile strength of grain and primary rachis branch was relatively low and the fiber cell of the primary rachis branch was short. Characteristics of shattering-related traits and germination in relation to grain and esterase isozyme zymogram type of off-type rice plants. In most lines of the extremely late and sterile rice group, the tensile strength of grain was low, while that of primary rachis branch was high, and the fiber cell was long. However, in the type 1 esterase isozyme zymogram(EIZ) lines among the long-grain normal rice group and the type 6 and 5+6 EIZ plants among the extremely late and sterile rice group, the tensile strength of grain was relatively higher. The long-grain waxy rice group and the type 3 EIZ lines among the long-grain red rice group, showed higher germinability than did cultivars which are known to germinate well even in low-temperature. The other off-type rice group, except for the short-grain waxy rice group and type 1 and 7 EIZ lines among the long-grain normal rice group, had higher germination speed than that of the cultivars.

  • 본 연구는 구미 전자산업클러스터의 진화과정을 분석하고 지역산업변화에 정부의 역할을 이해하는데 그 목적이 있다. 1990년대 초반까지 구미 산업단지는 수도권에 본사를 둔 대기업 분공장의 집적지로 구미지역에서의 산업연계가 미약했다. 그러나 최근 20년 동안 구미는 지역 내 기업 간 연계와 중소기업의 혁신활동이 상당히 이루어져 전자산업중심의 클러스터로 발전하고 있다. 정부의 산업정책은 구미전자산업클러스터의 진화과정을 이해하는데 매우 중요하다. 초기의 국가산업정책은 전략산업의 선정과 개발을 통해 구미 국가산업단지의 성장과 전자산업 중심의 전문화에 영향을 미쳤으며, 최근의 혁신클러스터 정책은 기업, 대학, 연구소간의 연계를 강화하고 지역 내 혁신네트워크 형성을 지원하였다. 경상북도와 구미시는 지역 대학 및 기업과 직접 협력관계를 맺고 지역의 연구개발 역량 향상과 중소기업 지원을 위한 정책을 중심으로 지역 발전에 기여하였다. 중앙정부와 대기업의 역할에 더해 지방정부와 중소기업의 역할 증대가 구미산업클러스터 진화의 기반이 되고 있다.
