A typical Mold method is to form a gate electrode, a gate oxide, and emitter tip after fabrication of mold shape using wet-etching of Si substrate. In this study, however, new Mold method using a side wall space structure is used in order to make sharper emitter tip with a gate electrode. Using LPCVD(low pressure chemical vapor deposition), a gate oxide and electrode layer are formed on a Si substrate, and then BPSG(Boro phospher silicate glass) thin film is deposited. After, the BPSG thin film is flowed into a mold as high temperature in order to form a sharp mold structure. Next TiN thin film is deposited as a emitter tip substance. The unfinished device with a glass substrate is bonded by anodic bonding techniques to transfer the emitters to a glass substrate, and Si substrate is etched using KOH-deionized water solution. Finally, we made sharp field emitter array with gate electrode on the glass substrate.
Repair and retrofit system of concrete structures has been developed from conventional reinforced concrete overlaying, steel plate bonding and recently to fiber composite systems. Research and study on carbon, aramid, and glass fiber composite system has been actively carried out from all over the world Glass fiber composite is proved to be competitive technically and enconomically, among fiber composite system. CAF system is a system developed locally using all domestic materal, glass fabric and epoxy, and improved in shear bonding property by utilizing silica fume mixed with epoxy. All the tests on material properties, structural behavior, constructiveness at site and quality control procedure proved to be most appropriate system so far developed. Futher research work is and will be under progress for utilization of this system which will be applied to more adverse situation.
The purpose of this study was to assess the 24-hour shear bond strength of amalgam to glass ionomer cement, using five different intermediaries. The intermediaries used in this study were Scotchbond 2 (light curing dentin adhesive), Panavia (resin cement), liquid' of glass ionomer cement (chemical curing & light curing), and uncured mixture of light curing glass ionomer cement. This study was operated with 48 specimens devided into 6 groups. The experimental groups are as follows: Group 1 : Bonded Amalgam to chemical curing glass ionomer cement with liquid of chemical curing glass ionomer. Group 2 : Bonded Amalgam to light curing glass ionomer cement with liquid of chemical curing glass ionomer. Group 3: Bonded Amalgam to light curing glass ionomer cement with resin cement. Group 4: Bonded Amalgam to light curing glass ionomer cement with light curing dentin adhesive. Group 5: Bonded Amdlgam to light curing glass ionomer cement with liquid of light curing glass ionomer. Group 6: Bonded Amalgam to light curing glass ionomer cement with uncured mixture of light curing glass ionomer cement. 30 minutes after amalgam condensation, all specimens were stored for 24 hours in water at $37^{\circ}C$ and tested with Instron (1122). The following results obtained: 1. The shear bond strength of group 6 was higher than those of the other groups (46.7 kgf/$cm^2$, p<0.05). 2. The shear bond strength of resin cement intermediary group was lower than that of the group using uncured mixture of light curing glass ionomer cement. 3. The results of group 1 and group 2 were different, even though the inter-me diaries used were same. 4. Intermediary of Group 5 did not show complete set in Scanning Electromicroscopic examination. 5. Light-curing dentin adhesive did not show any bonding ability to amalgam.
The purpose of this study was to compare the fracture and shear bonding strength of resin-modified glass ionomer cements with composite resin and conventional glass ionomer cement Three kinds of restorative materials including a composite resin (Z 100), a conventional glass ionomer cement(Fuji II), and resin- modified glass ionomer cements(Fuji II LC, Vitremer, Dyract and Compoglass) were investigated in this study. For measurement of fracture and shear bonding strength, disk samples of the materials were prepared and cylindrical samples of the materials were bonded the flat enamel and dentin surfaces according to manufactuer's instructions. All specimen were determinated by using an Instron testing machine with a crosshead speed of 1 mm/min. Then, each treated enamel and dentin surface was observed by SEM. The following results were obtained. 1. The bi-axial flexural strength of Z 100 was highest, and Fuji n LC, Vitremer, Dyract and Compoglass were significantly higher than Fuji n (P<0.05). 2. The shear bonding strength of Z 100 on the enamel and dentin surface was higher than other experimental groups except Fuji II LC(P<0.05). Fuji II LC was significantly higher than Fuji II (P<0.05), but in the case of Vitremer, Dyract and Compoglass were similar to Fuji II (P>0.05). 3. The shear bonding strength of Z 100 and Fuji II LC on the enamel surface were highly increased as compared with dentin surface (P<0.05), but in the case of Fuji II, Vitremer, Dyract and Compoglass were not different between enamel and dentin(P>0.05). 4. In the Z 100 and Fuji II LC, obvious etched enamel surface and exposed dentinal tubules according to remove of smear layer and smear plug were observed.
The carborundum abrasive specimens bonded with a soda-borosilicate glass were prepared. Samples fired at specified temperatures with various mixing ratio and forming pressure were examined in terms of the structure, bonding strength, and microscopic observations. Increasing the forming pressure up to 400kg/$\cm^2$, the structure became denser in proportion to the forming pressure. The bonding strength was generally increased with increasing the mixing ratio (Vb/Vg), but the bloating phenomena were observed when samples were fired above 95$0^{\circ}C$ with mixing ratio above 20%, consequently, the bonding strength was decreased. Samples fired at the temperature range 900~95$0^{\circ}C$ with mixing ratio 15~30% had the dense structure with various grades.

We report a new FCOG (flip chip on glass) technique using solder bumps for display packaging applications. The In and Sn solder bumps of 40 ${\mu}m$ pitches were formed on Si and glass substrate. The In and Sn bumps were bonded at 125 at the pressure of 3 mN/bump. The metallurgical bonding was confirmed using cross-sectional SEM. The contact resistance of the solder joint was 65 $m{\Omega}$ which was much lower than that of the joint made using the conventional ACF bonding technique. We demonstrate that the new COG technique using solder bump to bump direct bonding can be applied to advanced LCDs that lead to require higher quality, better resolution, and lower power consumption.
Chip on glass (COG) bonding using anisotropic conductive film (ACF) is a key technology to assemble a driver IC onto a LCD glass panel. In this paper, an experimental investigation was conducted to investigate the correlation between contact resistance and characteristics of image taken by machine vision based inspection system. The results show that the contact resistance was strongly influenced by the contrast ratio of conductive particle rather than the number of conductive particles. Also, number of conductive particles whose contrast ratio is below 0.75 is crucial for determining the quality of the assembled samples. On the other hand, in the result of high temperature high humidity storage test, the contrast ratio of samples was increased. However, in the case of open-circuit samples after temperature humidity storage test, the number of conductive particles whose contrast ratio is above 0.75 was more than that of the closed-circuit samples.
