위락시설지역의 초기세척현상과 초기 강우-유출고 저류에 따른 저감효율 분석 (Analysis of First Flush of Recreation Park and Removal Rate According to Rainfall-Runoff Storage Depth)

  • Nonpoint source pollution characteristics of recreation park was investigated. Runoff ratio of recreation park ranged 23-57%, which was lower than other urban area since impervious area was less than 37%. The average BOD, COD, TOC, SS, T-N, T-P, were 14.09, 32.86, 12.19, 121.51, 7.78 and 0.72 mg/L, respectively. First flush of recreation park was analyzed by normalized cumulative load - volume curve and mass first flush ratio(MFFn), MFF10 for BOD, COD, SS, T-P, T-N, TOC were 2.90, 1.59, 2.15, 2.74, 2.60, and 1.59, respectively. Observed data showed that 62% of pollutant could be removed by storaging 5 mm rainfall-runoff and even 3 mm depth could store up to 50% of pollutant in runoff.

골판지 적층재와 EPS 사이의 압축거동에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Compression Behavior between Multi-layered Corrugated Structure and EPS Packaging Materials)

  • The evaluation of the compression behavior of the cushioning material is of importance to achieve appropriate packaging design. In order to change packaging design from polymeric-based to more eco-friendly cellulose-based nire effectively, comparative study on the compression behavior between these two packaging materials is crucial. In this study, the stress-strain behavior, hysteresis loss, and response characteristics for cyclic loading were analyzed through compression tests on multi-layered corrugated structure (MLCS) and expanded polystyrene (EPS) packaging materials. MLCS produced in Korea is produced by winding a certain number of single-faced corrugated paperboard, and the compression behavior of this material was turned out to be 6 stages: elastic stage, first buckling stage, sub-buckling stage, densification stage, last buckling stage and high densification stage. On the other hand, EPS's compression behavior was in 3 stages: linear elastic stage, collapse plateau, and densification stage. The strain energy per unit volume (strain energy density) of MLCS did not differ depending on the material thickness, but it showed a clear difference depending on the raw material and flute type. Hysteresis loss of MLCS ranged from 0.90 to 0.93, and there were no significant differences in the raw material and flute type. These values were about 5 to 20% greater than the hysteresis of the EPS (about 0.78 to 0.87).

PDMS막을 이용한 바이오 부탄올 분리정제와 투과증발 특성에 관한 연구 (Pervaporative Recovery of Bio-butanol through Dense- and Composite-type PDMS Membranes)

  • 소수성, 고무상 고분자인 polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) 소재를 대상으로 치밀한 단일막과 복합막을 제조하였으며 이들을 이용한 투과증발법을 통해 바이오부탄올을 농축하는 실험을 수행하였다. 바이오부탄올 회수를 위해 $1{\sim}5wt%$의 부탄올이 함유된 모델 수용액을 대상으로 조업온도$(20{\sim}40^{\circ}C)$와 막두께$(1{\sim}100{\mu}m)$를 변화시키면서 PDMS막의 투과증발 특성을 조사하였다. $100{\mu}m$ 두께 PDMS 단일막의 경우 공급부탄올의 농도가 증가할수록 포집된 부탄올의 농도, 선택도, 투과도가 증가하였다. 이러한 결과는 물보다 부탄올에 대한 PDMS 소재의 친화성과 막 사슬 내의 큰 자유부피(free volume)로 부탄올에 대한 확산저항이 적기 때문에 부탄올에 대한 선택도와 투과도가 높은 것으로 파악되었다. 조업온도를 $20{\sim}40^{\circ}C$로 증가시키며 투과증발특성을 조사한 결과, 온도의 상승에 따라 포집된 부탄올의 농도, 선택도, 투과도 모두 증가하였다. PDMS막의 두께가 $100{\mu}m$에서 $1{\mu}m$로 얇아질수록 포집된 부탄올의 농도와 선택도는 감소하였으며 투과도는 증가하는 경향을 보였다.

Bio-CAD를 위한 인체공동부의 3차원 모델링 기술 개발 (Development of 3D Modeling Technology of Human Vacancy for Bio-CAD)

  • Custom medical treatment is being widely adapted to lots of medical applications. A technology for 3D modeling is strongly required to fabricate medical implants for individual patient. Needs on true 3D CAD data of a patient is strongly required for tissue engineering and human body simulations. Medical imaging devices show human inner section and 3D volume rendering images of human organs. CT or MRI is one of the popular imaging devices for that use. However, those image data is not sufficient to use for medical fabrication or simulation. This paper mainly deals how to generate 3D geometry data from those medical images. A new image processing technology is introduced to reconstruct 3D geometry of a human body vacancy from the medical images. Then a surface geometry data is reconstructed by using Marching cube algorithm. Resulting CAD data is a custom 3D geometry data of human vacancy. This paper introduces a novel 3D reconstruction process and shows some typical examples with implemented software.

부분적으로 자기장에 노출된 굴곡형 스프링을 이용한 대변위 전자기력 구동기 (Large-Displacement Electromagnetic Actuators with the Meander Springs Partially Exposed to Magnetic Field)

  • 본 논문에서는 대변위 구동이 가능한 구동기의 설계를 위해 기존의 전자기력 구동기에 비해 낮은 스프링 상수를 갖는 굴곡형 스프링을 적용하고, 변위가 발생하는 방향으로만 로렌츠힘이 생기도록 굴곡형 스프링의 일부분만 자기장에 노출시키는 구동기를 제안한다. 굴곡형 스프링의 양쪽 부재가 자기장에 노출된 구조(prototype F)와 굴곡형 스프링의 한쪽 부재만을 자기장에 노출시킨 구조(prototype P)를 설계하고, 제작하여 실험한 결과 prototype P 가 굴곡형 스프링의 양쪽 부재를 자기장에 노출시킨 prototype F의 구동성능에 비해 $16.9{\pm}1.2%$의 진폭 증가를 보임을 실험적으로 검증하였다. 제안된 구동기는 제한된 면적 내에서 작은 전류(<50mA)와 작은 자기장(<0.3T)으로 대변위 구동을 가능케 하여 광 스위치 또는 광 단속기 등에 응용이 가능하다.

구제역 방제를 위한 중소형 살포기의 성능실험 및 영상처리를 이용한 분석 (Performance Test and Analysis of The Small Medium-sized Sprayer for Control of Foot-and-mouth Disease Using Image Processing)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 축산 농가에서 병원균의 전염성으로 막대한 손실을 가져오고 있어 이를 효율적으로 방제작업을 할 수 있는 살포기를 개발하고 성능실험은 영상처리를 이용하여 분석하는 것이다. 실험 설계는 용지를 10m 간격으로 세로 5개, 가로 7개 총 35개를 설치하여 살포량과 살포거리를 실험 하였다. 실험 방법은 A4용지를 바닥에 고정하고 색소를 살포하여 얻은 데이터를 영상처리를 통하여 이치화 하였다. 성능실험 후 용지를 수거하여 거리를 분석한 결과 60m까지 살포가 가능한 것을 알 수 있었다. 살포기의 이동거리별 A4 용지의 이치화에 대한 검정색 비율은 30m까지는 살포가 높게 나타났다. 실험을 통해 60m까지 살포가 가능하여 축산 농가의 방제작업에 사용이 가능할 것으로 판단된다.

여과분리형 생물반응조의 고액분리 특성 (Solid-Liquid Separation Characteristics with Bio-filter Media Reactor)

  • 여과분리형 생물반응조 운전에서 발생하는 flux 감소 원인을 분석하였고, 상등수 수질과 침강성 변화가 flux에 미치는 영향을 평가하였다. 또한 여과막 모듈과 역세정 장치 일체형 시스템의 특성을 평가하였다. 반응조는 17L 유효 용적의 아크릴 반응조에 $100{\mu}m$ 공경의 여과막 모듈을 통해 배출되는 여과시스템으로, 여과시간이 경과함에 따라 상등수의 수질 특히 탁도와 TOC의 수질이 악화됨에 따라 flux가 점진적으로 감소하였다. MLSS 농도가 18000mg/L 이상에서는 여과저항이 급격히 증가하였다. 상등수의 수질과 flux와의 관계를 규명하기 위해서는 MLSS 농도가 10000mg/L 이상에서는 곤란함에 따라 5000mg/L이 적절한 것으로 판단된다. 활성슬러지 플록을 파괴시켜 SVI를 250으로 조정하여 여과를 시작한 경우, 상등수의 탁도가 증가하여, 침강성이 악화됨에 따라 flux도 점차 감소하였다. 여과막 모듈과 폭기세정 장치를 일체화한 시스템에서 공기 공급은 30~60초 정도로 설정함이 적정한 것으로 나타났다.

Assessment of the autogenous bone graft for sinus elevation

  • Objectives: The posterior maxillary region often provides a limited bone volume for dental implants. Maxillary sinus elevation via inserting a bone graft through a window opened in the lateral sinus wall has become the most common surgical procedure for increasing the alveolar bone height in place of dental implants in the posterior maxillary region. The purpose of this article is to assess the change of bone volume and the clinical effects of dental implant placement in sites with maxillary sinus floor elevation and autogenous bone graft through the lateral window approach. Materials and Methods: In this article, the analysis data were collected from 64 dental implants that were placed in 24 patients with 29 lacks of the bone volume posterior maxillary region from June 2004 to April 2011, at the Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Inha University Hospital. Panoramic views were taken before the surgery, after the surgery, 6 months after the surgery, and at the time of the final follow-up. The influence of the factors on the grafted bone material resorption rate was evaluated according to the patient characteristics (age and gender), graft material, implant installation stage, implant size, implant placement region, local infection, surgical complication, and residual alveolar bone height. Results: The bone graft resorption rate of male patients at the final follow-up was significantly higher than the rate of female patients. The single autogenous bone-grafted site was significantly more resorbed than the autogenous bone combined with the Bio-Oss grafted site. The implant installation stage and residual alveolar height showed a significant correlation with the resorption rate of maxillary sinus bone graft material. The success rate and survival rate of the implant were 92.2% and 100%, respectively. Conclusion: Maxillary sinus elevation procedure with autogenous bone graft or autogenous bone in combination with Bio-Oss is a predictable treatment method for implant rehabilitation.

고농도 분말활성탄 결합 MBR 운전에 대한 활성탄 교체주기의 영향 (Effect of powder activated carbon replacement on HCPAC-MBR system operation)

  • This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of PAC(Powder Activated Carbon) retention time on stable operation of high concentration powered activated carbon(HCPAC-MBR) in the treatment of secondary domestic wastewater. The pilot scale HCPAC-MBR system was operated at two different SRTs, 25 days and 100 days. The main drawback of HCPAC-MBR system was the rapid increase of trans-membrane pressure. The increase rate of trans-membrane pressure was proportional to SRT value at constant flux. This result seemed to be caused by reduced amount of EPS adsorbed on the PAC in the reactor by decreasing the SRT of the PAC. The particle size of the PAC was also influenced by SRT. The PAC size was decreased as SRT was increased. The change of particle size could be one reason for the change of trans-membrane pressure. The pore volume in the cake-layer formed on the membrane surface became to be increased by reducing SRT, because the cake-layer was highly composed of the PAC. Therefore, increased pore volume might play a role to reduce the trans-membrane pressure. The removal rate of E260 and TOC was also inversely proportional to SRT value.

양손 전극의 임피던스법을 이용한 심박출량 측정의 최적화 (Optimization of Measuring Cardiac Output by Both Hands Electrode Impedance Method)

  • In this study, a new method that can estimate ICG data from a subject's both hands to measure Cardiac Output under convenient sensor environment. With this aim, a grip-type electrode was implemented to measure ICG. To improve the accuracy of measurement, the regression equation was extracted using multiple bio-parameters and our result was compared with the thoracic ICG equipment(Physio Flow$^{(R)}$, PF104D, Manatec Biomedical, France), which is being used in clinics. The subjects consist of 26 men and 4 women(age in $22.0{\pm}3.32$). They are no cardiac disease. Parameters available for regression model were used gender, BMI, MBP, LVET, dZ/dt(max), distance between the measured electrodes, body impedance, and PTT. As a result of analyzing the ICG measurement value on thorax and both hands, the correlation with stroke volume, heart rate, and cardiac output was $R^2$=0.853, $R^2$=0.958 and $R^2$=0.899, respectively.
