전도성 고분자를 결합한 EAPap작동기에 관한 연구 (Conductive Polymer Coated Electro-active Paper(EAPap))

  • Electro-Active Paper (EAPap) is one of attractive electro-active polymer (EAP) materials for artificial muscles due to its many advantages such as light weight, biologically degradable, low cost, large displacement output, low actuation voltage and low power consumption. However, drawbacks of EAPap actuators include low force output and humidity dependence. To enhance the performance of EAPap, conductive polymer (PPy) and SWNT/conductive polymer (PANI) are coated on EAPap PPy as conductive polymer is coated on cellulose EAPap by means of electrochemical deposition. Two different dopants are used in PPy through conducting polymer processing. SWNTS are mixed with PANI in emeraldine base along with different dopants. The compound materials are coated on cellulose EAPap using spin coating system. The performance of PPy/EAPap and SWNT/PANI/EAPap are evaluated in terms of bending displacement, blocked force, and the effects of dopants, humidity, coaling time, voltage and frequency are investigated. Comparing with EAPap actuators, SWNT/PANI/EAPap actuators show $200\%$ improvement of bending displacement and $300\%$ increment of blocked force.

이온성 고분자-금속 복합물 액추에이터의 제작 및 이동형 액추에이터에의 응용 (Fabrication of Ionic Polymer-Metal Composite Actuator and Application to Moving Mechanism)

  • 이온 전도성 고분자와 금속의 복합물을 제작하고 이를 액추에이터로 이용하였다. 이온 전도성 고분자의 양면에 백금을 무전해 도금하여 전극으로 사용하고 이 두 개의 전극에 교류전압을 인가하면 구부러지는 형태의 빔 형 액추에이터를 제작할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 액추에이터의 제작 과정을 상술하고 이를 이용하여 이동형 액추에이터를 제작하였다. 이동형 액추에이터는 전선이 없는 형태로 하단의 전극 레일을 이용하여 전압을 인가하며 진동하는 빔 형 액추에이터의 충격을 흡수하며 앞으로 진행한다. 제작한 이동형 액추에이터는 최대 약 24cm/min 정도의 속도를 갖는 것으로 측정되었다.

  • Natural fibers can refer to all types of fibres only produced by nature. Their lengths vary from particles to long strands. Natural fibers are categorized roughly by six types, depending on the types of sources; base, leaf, seed, grasses, fruit and wood. Of these fibers, jute, flax, sisal and ramie are the most commonly used as reinforced materials in preparing polymer composites. In development and improvement of these composites, many studies have been implemented to overcome the drawbacks such as incompatibility, moisture problems and so on. The range of industry sectors of natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites becomes more extensive gradually and many of the companies all over the world are engaged in fabrications or applications. This paper mainly discussed the recent status of the domestic/overseas market and research issues of natural fiber-reinforced polymer composites. We made an exception of wood-polymer composites market which have played a great role because they had been often dealt with.

생분해성 고분자 코팅 조림묘목용 mulching mat 원지의 적용성 평가 (The applicable evaluation of biodegradable polymer coated-mulching paper for afforestation seedlings)

  • Recently, as the function of largest supplier of biomass for "low carbon green growth", the necessity for systematic management of afforestation areas is emphasizing. The forestation of seedling, besides the afforestation cost itself, is required some additional follow-up management costs, like mowing and fertilizing of forestation area, and removal of bindweed. The mulching mat for afforestation seedlings is available for rooting of little seedlings as well as initial forestation expenses. Mulching technique is also used to control soil temperature and moisture by covering the surface of ground. In this study, the paper based-mulching film coated with biodegradable polymer and functional additive was specially produced using laboratory bar coater, and analyzed for its degradable behavior. Coating colors were prepared by dissolving PE (polyester) 80 % and PLA(polylactic acid) 20 % in chloroform and finally applied to handsheet prepared by preceding study conditions. Base paper and polymer-coated paper were artificially aged by 2 kinds of degradation methods, which are soil degradation by microorganism and light degradation by 257 nm UV wavelengths. Strength property, oxidation index and morphological property were evaluated by reduction rates of tensile strength, FTIR spectra ratio of carboxyl and carbonyl group and SEM micrograph. As these results, polymer coated-paper was superior to base paper in degradation behaviors, having results with lower reduction rate of strength properties.

Metalloporphyrins 와 Polymer-bonded Metalloporphyrin 의 합성 및 Benzoquinone 광환원반응의 촉매효과 (Syntheses of Metalloporphyrins and Polymer-bonded Metalloporphyrin and Their Catalytic Effects on Benzoquinone Photoreduction)

  • pyrrole과 benzaldehyde 및 그 유도체로부터 meso-tetraphenylporphyrin(TPP)과 그 유도체 다섯가지를 합성한 후 이를 Co(II), Cu(II), Zn(II)의 염화물과 반응시켜 각각의 metalloporphyrin 착화합물을 만들고, 이 중 meso-tetra(p-aminophenyl)porphyrin(TNPP)을 다공성 polystyrene 수지와 반응시킨 후 여기에 Cu(II)의 염화물을 작용시켜 고분자결합 metalloporphyrin 착화합물 : Cu(Res-NH-TPP-$NH_2$)을 만들었다. 합성한 porthyrin 화합물들은 가시광선, 적외선 및 전자스핀공명 스펙트럼으로 확인하였고, 금속함량은 원자흡광 분광광도법으로 측정하였다. 합성한 porphyrin 화합물을 benzoquinone 광환원반응에 촉매로 이용한 결과, 일반적으로 유리 porphyrin보다 metalloporphyrin이, metalloporphyrin 중에는 Cu-TNPP의 촉매효과가 높았으며, 이에 고분자를 결합시키는 경우 효과가 더욱 향상됨을 알 수 있었다.

  • 실리콘/아크릴수지를 기반으로 한 내후성 도료의 조성이 물성에 미치는 영향을 연구하기 위하여 안료분산 용 및 희석용 실리콘/아크릴수지의 배합비를 중량비율 2 : 8, 3 : 7, 4 : 6 의 3종으로 변화시키면서 내후성 도료를 제조하였다. 제조된 도료의 도막물성 및 내후성이 판단할 수 있는 각종 도막실험을 실시한 결과, 실리콘 성분함량이 증가할수록 열적안정성, 염수분무 및 내후성 등이 향상되었으며, 적정배합비는 2 : 8임을 알 수 있었다. 또한 실리콘 성분을 30 wt% 함유한 도료는 고내후성을 보유함을 확인하였다.

Novel Electroluminescent Polymer Derived from Pyrene-Functionalized Polyaniline

  • A solution processable polymer was synthesized, by incorporating pyrene groups into the backbone of the polyaniline chain, and used as an emissive layer in an organic light emitting diode. The polyaniline base was reacted with acid chloride of pyrene butyric acid to form pyrene-functionalized polyaniline chains. The source of pyrene moiety was acid chloride of pyrene butyric acid. The formation of polymer from acid chloride of pyrene butyric acid and polyaniline was confirmed by the FTIR and $^1H$-NMR spectroscopy. Differential scanning calorimetry revealed high glass transition temperature of 210 $^{\circ}C$. Due to the presence of pyrene moieties in the backbone, the polyaniline synthesized in the present study is solution processable with light emitting property. The photoluminescence spectrum of the polymer revealed that emission lies in the blue region, with a peak at 475 nm. The light emitting device of this polymer exhibits the turn-on voltage of 15 V.

Synthesis and Characterization of MPEG-b-PDPA Amphiphilic Block Copolymer via Atom Transfer Radical Polymerization and Its pH-Dependent Micellar Behavior

  • Block copolymer micelles are generally formed via the self-assembly of amphiphilic block copolymers in an aqueous medium. The hydrophilic and hydrophobic blocks form shell and core micelles, respectively. The block copolymers of methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (MPEG)-b-poly(2-diisopropylamino)ethyl methacrylate (PDPA) were synthesized via atom transfer radical polymerization, with the macro initiator synthesized by the coupling of 2-bromoisobutyryl bromide with MPEG in the presence of a triethyl amine base catalyst. The atom transfer radical polymerization of 2-diisopropylamino)ethyl methacrylate was performed in conjunction with an N,N,N',N",N"-pentamethyl-diethylenetriamine/copper bromide catalyst system, in DMF, at $70^{\circ}C$. The pH induced micellization/demicellization was studied using fluorescence, with a pyrene probe. Furthermore, the pH dependent micellization was confirmed using the microviscosity method, with a dipyme fluorescence probe. The pH dependant micelle size distribution was studied using dynamic light scattering. The characterization of the synthesized polymers was established using gel permeation chromatography and from the $^1H-nuclear$ magnetic resonance spectroscopy.

플렉시블 전기변색 소자를 위한 고분자 전해질 멤브레인 (Polymer Electrolyte Membranes for Flexible Electrochromic Device)

  • 본 연구에서는 플렉시블 전기변색 소자(ECD)에 적용하기 위한 고분자 전해질 멤브레인의 최적 설계 조건을 도출하고자 하였다. 전해질 멤브레인의 제조를 위한 기저 고분자로 접착력 및 투명도가 우수한 polyvinyl butyral (PVB)을 선정하였으며 가소제로는 adipate계 고분자를 사용하였다. 실험결과, ECD 성능에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 인자는 전해질 멤브레인의 이온 전도도 및 투과도임을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 상기 인자는 리튬염의 해리 특성과 밀접한 관계를 갖고 있음을 알 수 있었다. 종합적으로 다양한 리튬염 중 음이온의 크기가 큰 LiTFSI 염이 25 wt.% 정도의 함량으로 용해될 때 최적의 ECD 성능을 확인할 수 있었다.

Polyethyleneimine Derivative for Nucleic Acid Model

  • Water-soluble polyethyleneimine (PE) derivatives containing nucleic acid bases and hydrophilic amino acids such as homoserine (Hse) and serine were prepared by the activated ester method as nucleic acid models. From spectroscopic measurements, the polymers were found to interact with DNA accompanied by an induction of conformational change. Hypochromicity in UV spectra indicated that a stable polymer complex was formed between poly (A) with PEI­Hse-Ura by complementary hydrogen bonding with equimolar nucleic base units (adenine:uracil=1:1). The induced conformation of DNA by the interaction with the polymer containing uracil and homoserine (PEI-Hse-Ura) was concluded to be a super triple helical structure. The formation of the polymer complex, DNA: PEI-Hse-Ura, was found to be affected by the presence of metal ions such as $Ca^{2+}\;and\;Cu^{2+}$.
