An Algorithm for Collision Avoidance of Two-Arm Robot Manipulator Using Redundancy (여유 자유도를 이용한 두 팔 로봇 매니퓰레이터의 충돌 회피 알고리즘)

  • An algorithm is suggested for collision avoidance of two-arm robot manipulator using redundancy. End-effectors of each redundant arm should move along each prescribed straight path to complete the given task, while avoiding collision with each other. Self-motion, considered as motion of each axis not to change the position and orientation of end-effector, is utilized in order to solve this problem. At each sampling time, self-motion is executed with the view to making farther between the links of each arm. Simulation results for two-arm robot manipulator, which has 9-d.o.f. respectively, are illustrated to show the performance of the algorithm.

  • 본 논문에서는 종방향 충돌경보 및 회피시스템(FCWA ; forward collision warning and avoidance)의 일환으로 가변적인 경사도를 가지는 고속도로상의 차선, 차량, 그리고 도로의 곡률을 효과적으로 검출할 수 있는 알고리듬을 제안하였다. 먼저 2D 영상좌표계에 나타나는 투영효과를 제거하기 위한 역투영(IPM; inverse perspective mapping)기법을 소개하였다. 또한 IPM과 필터로부터 차선과 차량을 효과적으로 검출할 수 있는 알고리듬을 소개하였다. 마지막으로 경사가 있는 실제도로영상에 대한 IMP의 수정된 파라미터 보정에 대한 개념 및 실제도로의 곡률 검출을 위한 기하학적 함수 추정기법을 설명하였다 실험결과 제안한 알고리듬이 실제도로영상에서 차선, 차량, 그리고 곡률의 검출에 효과적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In this paper, we present an analysis of the throughput when there are multiple piconets and WLAN sharing the ISM bands. The analysis takes channel propagation characteristics and the capture effect. We also propose an algorithm which can be used to reduce the amount of channel scanning. By using traffic prediction of the interfering WLAN, we are able to maintain a reasonable performance in terms of fraction of time channel is wasted due to collisions or unused channel. Through computer simulation, we demonstrate that the proposed algorithm achieves reduced scanning frequency.

  • Two robots working in a common workspace may collide with each other. In this paper, a collision-free motion planning algorithm using view time concept is proposed to detect and avoid collision before robot motion. Collision may occur not only at the robot end effector but also at robot links. To detect and avoid potential collisions, the trajectory of the first robot is sampled periodically at every view time and the region in Cartesian space swept by the first robot is viewed as an obstacle during a single sampling period. The forbidden region in the joint constraint map (JCM). The JCM's are obtained in this way at every view time. An algorithm is established for collision-free motion planning of the two robot system from the sequence of JCM's and it is verified by simulations.

  • Recently, autonomous vehicles have been studied actively. Autonomous vehicles can detect objects around them using their on board sensors, estimate collision probability and maneuver to avoid colliding with objects. Many algorithms are suggested to prevent collision avoidance. However there are limitations of complex and diverse environments because algorithm uses only the information of attached environmental sensors and mainly depends on TTC (time-to-Collision) parameter. In this paper, autonomous driving algorithm using I2V communication-based cooperative sensing information is developed to cope with complex and diverse environments through sensor fusion of objects information from infrastructure camera and object information from equipped sensors. The cooperative sensing based autonomous driving algorithm is implemented in autonomous shuttle bus and the proposed algorithm proved to be able to improve the autonomous navigation technology effectively.

  • In this paper, we develop anti-sway control in proposed techniques for an ATC system. The developed algorithm is to build the optimal path of container motion and to calculate an anti-collision path for collision avoidance in its movement to the finial coordinate. Moreover, in order to show the effectiveness in this research, we compared NNP PID controller to be tuning parameters of controller using NN with 2 DOF PID controller. The experimental results for an ATC simulator show that the proposed control scheme guarantees performances, trolley position, sway angle, and settling time in NNP PID controller than other controller. As a result, the application of NNP PID controller is analyzed to have robustness about disturbance which is wind of fixed pattern in the yard. Accordingly, the proposed algorithm in this study can be readily used for industrial applications

  • Navigation is a method to direct a mobile robot without collision when traversing the environment. This is to reach a destination without getting lost. In this paper, global and local path planning in fixed obstacle and moving obstacle using genetic algorithm are presented. First, mobile robot searches optimal global path using genetic algorithm without falling into local minima. Then if it finds a unknown obstacle, it searches new path without crashing obstacle. Also if there is a moving obstacle, mobile robot searches new optimal path without colliding with the obstacles. Various simulation results show the proposed algorithm can search a shortest path effectively.

  • In this paper, we proposed an efficient medium access protocol to share single transmission medium for several stations. There are two well known types of medium access protocols: collision allowance and collision avoidance, and each of them is adopted to their own suitable network with advantage. Our proposed protocol have channel reservation facility based on collision allow medium access protocol, CSMA/CD. In a collision, the stations delay collision with generating pseudo collision signal to reserve channel. Then, the collision terminates and the stations, which reserve channel successfully, participate the next competition with higher medium access probability. We show that the proposed protocol reduced collision times and improved utilization of the channel.

  • In this study, we propose a new approach to impliment autonomous travelling of mobile robot based on obstacle avoidance and voice command. Obstacle Avoidance technology of mobile robpot. It has been used in wide range of different robotics areas to minimize the risk of collisions. Obstacle avoidance of mobile robots are mostly applied in transportation systems such as aircraft traffic control, autonomous cars etc. Collision avoidance is a important requirement in mobile robot systems where they all featured some kind of obstacle detection techniques in order to avoid colliding. In this paper it was illustrated the reliability of voice command and obstacle avoidance for autonomous travelling of mobile robot with two wheels as the purpose of application to the manufacturing process by simulation and experiments.
