Design of a Geometric Adaptive Straightness Controller for Shaft Straightening Process (축교정을 위한 기하학적 진직도 적응제어기 설계)

  • In order to minimize straightness error of deflected shaft, a geometric adaptive straightness controller system is studied. A multi-step straightening and a three-point bending process have been developed for the geometric adaptive straightness controller. Load-deflection relationship, on-line identification of variations of material properties, on-line springback prediction, and real-time hydraulic control methodology are studied for the three-point bending process. By deflection pattern analysis and fuzzy self-learning method in the multi-step straightening process, a straightening point and direction, desired permanent deflection and supporting condition are determined. An automatic straightening machine has been fabricated for rack bars by using the developed ideas. Validity of the proposed system is verified through experiments.

  • Participatory Design (PD) community recognized that identification of use case scenarios describing possible uses of the future system is beneficial for users to identify their system requirements. However, brainstorming is a typical methodology for users to create use case scenarios during PD session, which heavily depend on the people skill and experiences of the analysts. The objective of this study is to develop a theoretical framework for automatic generation of requirement scenarios. Automatically generated scenarios serves as a menu of the possible user requirements from which user group can start to generate ideas about their requirements. The convergent approach taken here is novel in that the generated scenarios describe system requirements as well as the business process requirements in which the system operates. A context-sensitive grammar is used to generate the context relevant requirement scenarios.

  • In this paper, we provide safety requirements and advices to guarantee the safety of an interface in a level crossing system which is an interface between the conventional facilities and the new ATP (Automatic Train Protection) system, as well as we accomplish a safety management for the facilities of a country that has a different standard with already standardized ATP system. The system model has been made based on a safety activity of the international standard, and then a tolerance of a risk by the safety activity through PHA (Preliminary Hazard Analysis) has been analyzed. finally we achieved HIA (Hazard Identification and Analysis) for the assumptions that have been produced from a operating scenario and a functional interface. Thus, the safety requirements for the interface has been provided from the safety plan of HIA, and we showed the safety activity to guarantee the system safety through HIA which was depend on the design.

  • In this paper we deal with the APARP theory which has been applied for UK railway system and risk assessment method which has been using in the domestic railway system for the safety demonstration. Both techniques are applied to the ATP wayside equipment for interface. Also, fur the applications of each techniques a analysis of the safety activity and a possibility of the application of ALARP theory are evaluated. Finally, we generate requirements of the safety demonstration for the future domestic railway system by way of the analysis of some assumptions and requirement data which can be applied to the risk assessment of ALARP.

  • 본 연구는 근접상황의 선박 간 충돌회피시스템을 개발하기 위한 연구로서 근거리 조우상황에서 발생하는 선박충돌사고를 감소시키기 위한 선박충돌회피 설계방법을 제시한다. 이 설계모델은 레이다(Radar), 선박자동식별장치(AIS : Automatic Identification System)와 자동조타장치(Autopilot)를 충돌회피시스템에 연계하여 선박 간 충돌 사고를 사전에 예측하고 자동회피 방법을 제안한 것이다.

A Proposal on the Marine Traffic Supporting System in VTS area

  • In port and its approach channel, traffic accidents such as collision, aground, minor collision have reached about 77% of total marine casualty in the area. In this paper, an attempt to enhance the safe navigation was proposed by offering marine traffic supporting system which helps VTS operator assist vessel effectively with the quantitative assessment on difficulty of each vessel. The system collects navigation data from onboard AIS, assesses the data in assessment mode to analyze the navigation difficulties of each vessel and displays the degree of danger of each vessel on the ECDIS in real-time to decide the intervention time or order of priority for VTS operator. The effectiveness of the system was verified by the VTS operators in Korea.

  • 해양공간의 효율적인 활용과 해상사고 예방을 위하여 해상교통 현황 파악이 필요하다. 이를 위해서는 해상에서 운항하는 선박에 대한 면밀한 모니터링이 선행 되어야한다. 때문에 본 연구에서는 선박자동식별장치(Automatic Identification System, AIS)와 선박패스(V-Pass)를 활용하는 기존 모니터링 방법에서 나아가, 위성 자료를 활용한 연안 선박감시 방법을 해상교통관제(Vessel Traffic Service, VTS) 센터에서 활용하기 위한 방안을 제안한다. 위성 자료는 광범위한 영역에 대하여 다양한 정보를 획득할 수 있는 장점을 지니므로, 부산항 연안에서 수집한 AIS 데이터와 함께 딥 러닝 기반 선박 탐지 및 분류 모델에 활용함으로써, 보다 개선된 모니터링을 기대할 수 있다. 이를 활용하여 미식별 선박들의 출현 위치를 분석하고 나아가 선박의 종류를 예측함으로써, 상세한 해상교통 현황 파악 및 예측을 기대할 수 있다. 향후에는 선박의 종류 뿐 아니라 각 선박의 해상활동을 분석함으로써, 보다 체계적이고 실용적인 해양공간활용 계획수립에 도움이 될 수 있도록 개선할 계획이다.

  • A network topology has been an important factor for an efficient network management, but data collection for the network configuration has been done manually or semi automatically by a network administrator or an expert. Requirements to generate an intro-domain network topology ar usually either all IP addresses with subne $t^ernet mask or the network identification of all IP addresses. The amounts of traffic are generally high in the semi-automatic system due to using large number of low-level protocols and commands to get rather simple data. In this paper, we propose an algorithm which can be executed with only publicly available input. It can find all IP addresses as well as the network boundary of an intra-domain by using an intelligent method developed in this algorithm. The collected data will be used to draw a network map automatically by using a proposed network topology generation algorithm.hm.

  • In recent years, there has been increasing use of automatic surveillance and monitoring systems based on vision sensors. Humans are often the most important target in the systems, but processing human images is difficult due to the small sizes and flexible motions. Particularly, occlusion among pedestrians in camera images brings practical problems. In this paper, we propose a novel method to separate image regions of occluded pedestrians. A camera equipped with a wide angle lens is attached to the ceiling of a building corridor for sensing pedestrians with a wide field of view. The output images of the camera are processed for the human detection, tracking, identification, distortion correction, and occlusion handling. We resolve the occlusion problem adaptively depending on the angles and positions of their heads. Experimental results showed that the proposed method is more efficient and accurate compared with existing methods.

  • Up-to-date cargo transport system, CVO(Commercial Vehicle Operations) is the system to manage efficiently cargo distribution as providing at real time the information of cargo location and situation through ITS and GPS technology. In this paper, we proposed the Gate Automation System of harbors among AEI/AVI. To implement his system, we use the DSRC/RFID(Dedicated Short Range Communication / Radio Frequency IDentification) which adopts an wireless communication between RSE(Road-side Equipment) and OBE(on-Board Equipment) on a vehicle. When constructing the Gate automation system of harbors, the business application ability are reviewed practically and the logistics facilities to be constructed in the near future may use this project results according to the international standard and it could help complete integrated logistics system.
