과학일지 쓰기가 과학영재의 인지적 ${\cdot}$ 정의적 특성에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Science Journal Writings on the cognitive and affective features of the science gifted students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 과학일지 쓰기 활동이 과학영재의 인지적 ${\cdot}$ 정의적 특성에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위한 것으로 대학 부설 영재교육원 소속 과학영재 21명을 대상으로 6 개월간 온라인으로 과학일지를 쓰게 하고 분석하였다. 연구 결과 과학일지에서 글쓰기 형식에 따라 과학개념이 드러나는 양상과 함께 과학영재의 심리 ${\cdot}$ 행동적 특성이 정적 양상과 부적 양상을 보이고 있다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 과학일지 쓰기는 인지적 측면에서 과학영재의 과학개념에 대한 이해와 탐구력을 향상시키며, 정의적 측면에서 관찰력이나 과학에 대한 흥미와 태도 및 글쓰기에 대한 태도를 향상시킨다. 따라서 과학일지 쓰기는 과학영재의 인지적 ${\cdot}$ 정의적 특성에 긍정적인 영향을 준다는 것을 알 수 있다. 또한 과학영재는 과학일지 쓰기가 매우 유익하며 영재교육 프로그램으로도 적합하다고 인식하고 있어, 이러한 결과는 과학일지 쓰기 활동이 영재교육 프로그램으로 활용 될 수 있다는 것을 의미한다.

초등 교사를 위한 ADHD 아동 교수법 코칭 프로그램 개발 및 효과 (Development and Effects of an Instructional Coaching Program Regarding Children with Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder for Elementary School Teachers)

  • Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the effects of a newly developed instructional coaching program regarding Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) for teachers. Methods: Seventy teachers participated in this study involving a nonequivalent control group and a pretest-posttest design. The instructional coaching program consisted of eight 60-minute sessions. The program was developed through a theoretical development program involving six steps. To evaluate the effects of the program, data were collected through self-report questionnaires including the Knowledge Scale of Attention Deficit Disorder, Attitude Scale of Primary School Teachers Experiencing Students with ADHD, Practice Scale of Educational Intervention Activity, and the Korean ADHD Rating Scale. Data were analyzed with an independent t test, a chi-square test, and an ANCOVA using SPSS WIN version 20. Results: The intervention program consisted of 3 sectors, 8 subjects, and 24 content items. The experimental group showed a significant improvement in attitudes toward ADHD (F=22.83, p<.001). In addition, teacher's knowledge regarding ADHD (F=7.16, p=.010) and the implementation of instructional interventions (F=4.29, p=.043) improved. Further, teachers reported a reduction in children's ADHD-related behavior (F=4.34, p=.041). Results showed that the coaching program made a positive contribution to teaching skills and understanding of school-age children with ADHD. Conclusion: The instructional coaching program was well structured and significantly improved not only teachers'attitudes, knowledge, and teaching skills but also the behavior of children with ADHD in class. Therefore, the program is recommended as a means of facilitating teaching and managing children with ADHD in class.

국제신체활동설문지(IPAQ)와 액티그래프 가속도계를 이용한 유방암 생존자들의 신체활동량과 신체활동 프로그램 참여 의도 (Analysis of Physical Activity Measured by International Physical Activity Questionnaire and Actigraph Accelerometer, and Participation Intention for Physical Activity of Breast Cancer Survivors)

  • Purpose: This study aimed to analyze physical activity as measured by the International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) and an actigraph in breast cancer survivors, as well as to identify their intention to participate in a physical activity program. Methods: Breast cancer patients who had been diagnosed for more than six months (N=135) at a university hospital participated from June 2012 to May 2013. Physical activity was measured using the Korean version of the IPAQ-Short Form and Actigraph GT3X plus an accelerator for seven consecutive days. Data analyses were conducted using the SPSS WIN 19.0 program. Results: Mean total physical activity was 2298.21 metabolic equivalent task (MET)-min/week as assessed by IPAQ and 150,140.57 counts/day as measured by an actigraph. There were statistically significant correlations between moderate physical activity from IPAQ and light intensity of physical activity from the actigraph (r=.735, p<.001), vigorous physical activity from IPAQ and vigorous intensity of physical activity from the actigraph (r=.871, p<.001), total physical activity from IPAQ and light intensity of physical activity from the actigraph (r=.825, p<.001), respectively. Most (80.7%) cancer survivors reported a positive attitude toward physical activity and 57.8% expressed a willingness to participate in a physical activity program. More than half (60%) of the subjects preferred walking, 80.6% preferred more than 30 minutes of exercise, and 57.1% wanted to engage in physical activity three times a week and preferred home-based activities. Perceived barriers included fatigue, lack of strength and pain. Conclusion: It is necessary to consider intensity, personal preferences, and patient-perceived barriers when developing physical activity programs for breast cancer survivors.

세대통합 유아인성교육프로그램의 효과 (The Effect of the Intergenerational Character Education Program for Young Children)

  • 본 연구는 유아-노인 세대통합 인성교육프로그램이 유아의 인성에 미치는 영향을 확인하는 것을 목적으로 하였다. 이를 위해 세대 통합 인성교육프로그램에 관련 선행연구 탐색을 기초로 누리과정과 연계를 고려하여 유아-노인간 인성체험활동을 구성하여 실행하였다. 연구대상은 3세 유아 28명(실험집단 14명, 통제집단 14명)과 지역내 거주하는 70대 노인 6명을 편의표집 하였다. 유아의 인성검사는 정선영(2015), 배윤진(2007)의 유아 인성 평가 도구를 연구 목적에 맞게 수정 보완하여 사용하였다. 연구결과 유아인성교육중심 노인-유아 세대통합프로그램은 효, 질서, 협력, 배려, 존중, 나눔 순으로 유아의 인성 전반에 긍정적인 영향을 준 것으로 나타났다. 이 연구 결과는 노인-유아 세대통합 체험활동이 유아의 인성을 함양할 수 있으며 우리 사회 고유의 미덕을 계승할 수 있는 긍정적인 교육프로그램임을 확인해 주었다.

수학학습부진아 지도를 위한 도움자료의 개발과 효과 분석 (The development of teaching material for stow learners in mathematics and the analysis of its effect)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop an effective teaching material for slow learners in mathematics and to investigate its effect. To achieve the first goal, several pre-used teaching material and the 7th national curriculum for elementary school mathematics were analyzed to set up a framework fur developing new teaching material. Using these developed framework and curriculum data, 370 units of lesson were developed from the 3rd grade to the 6th grade. To investigate the effect of the material, 3 slow learners (2 from the 5th and 1 from the 6th grade) were selected through diagnostic tests. Then supplementary lessons were administered after school to relieve their disability accordingly for seven months. During the lessons(lasted about 40 minutes), teacher observed the subjects in detail and .judged the teaming sequence and the learning pace. Through this observation and the test administered after the treatment, several conclusions were drawn as follow: First, the supplementary lessons using the developed teaching material helped slow learners understand mathematics and solve problems. Especially, the test scores gained on formative evaluation became higher. This might be caused by the material that enabled to relieve the disablement and the teaching method that aimed to give a meaningful mathematical experience. Second, the supplementary lessons affected positively to the affective domain of the slow learners. They convinced themselves to their mathematical ability and became active in their mathematics class. This was observed by researcher and the class teacher in their lessons. Positive attitude toward mathematics and their ability is quite important for mathematics learning especially fur slow learners in mathematics.

국가 암조기검진사업 성과에 영향을 미치는 요인 - 보건소 및 사업실무자 특성을 중심으로 - (Factors Associated with Performance of National Cancer Screening Program in Korea)

  • Objectives : Cancer is the leading cause of death in Korea. Therefore, a National Cancer Screening Program (NCSP) was launched in 1999. This study planned to evaluate the performance of the NCSP to identifying the influencing factors in relation to characteristic public health centers. Methods : To analyze the performance, the database of the NCSP records for 2002 was used. The performance index was measured by the goal achievement rate, which was defined by the real number of screenees against the expected number of screenees. Also, a survey was conducted by a self-administered questionnaire to identify the factors associated with the goal achievement rate. The questionnaire was divided into two sections. In the first section, the individual characteristics of the program coordinator in each public health center were measured, and second section was comprised of questions about the organizational characteristics associated with the NCSP. A total of 121 subjects from 241 public health centers completed the questionnaire. Results : Of the 121 public health centers (50.2% response rate), the average goal achievement rate was 72.8%. The results of the regression model showed that public health centers located in rural area (parameter estimates=38.2) and had great support from a head of center or province (parameter estimates=0.20) and tended to have higher goal achievement rates. However, the characteristics of the program coordinator, especially their knowledge of and attitude toward cancer screening, were not significantly related to the goal achievement rates. Conclusions : It appears that the most important associated factors to the goal achievement rate in the NSCP were the location of the public health center and the support for the NCSP from the head of the center or province.

Flipped Learning이 대학수학의 학업성취도에 미치는 영향 (Flipped Learning mathematics impact on the University Academic Achievement)

  • 대학기초수학 교과목은 많은 대학에서 필수 과목으로 개설 운영하고 있으나 학업 성취도가 낮은 학생들에게는 수학을 포기하는 경우가 많아지고 있어 대안적 방법으로 학생들이 자기 주도적으로 흥미를 갖고 협업을 통해 과제를 해결하도록 하는 학습자 중심 교수법으로 잘 알려진 Flipped Learning이 제시되고 있다. 따라서 Flipped Learning 수업을 본 교과목에 적용함으로써 강의식 수업의 문제점을 보완하여 학습능력을 향상하고 수학에 대한 흥미를 높일 수 있는지 그 효과성을 알아보고자 하였다. 본 연구에서는 Flipped Learning 수업을 적용한 실험집단과 기존 강의식 수업을 적용한 통제집단의 비교연구에서 교육적 효과성을 알아본 결과 첫째, 단원테스트 결과에서는 실험집단이 통제집단보다 평균이 20점 이상 높게 나타나 학습능력 향상에 큰 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났고 둘째, 성찰저널 분석에서도 통제집단과 달리 실험집단에서는 어렵게만 느꼈던 수학에 대한 태도에도 긍정적인 의견의 내용이 많이 나와 흥미도 향상에도 효과가 있었다.

간호학생의 체질량지수와 체형인식도 및 체중조절행위 (The Body Mass Index(BMI), Body Image Recognition, Weight Control Behavior of Nursing Students)

  • 연구는 간호학생 273명을 대상으로 체질량지수와 체형인식도, 체형만족여부에 따른 체중조절행위 및 식행동을 파악하여 바람직한 체중조절 프로그램 개발에 사용하고자 시도된 서술적 조사 연구이다. 자료수집 기간은 2012년 3월 5일부터-3월 12일 까지였다. 자료수집 방법은 조사대상자가 직접 기입하도록 하였고, 자료분석 방법은 SPSS 프로그램을 사용하여 빈도분석 및 Chi-square test로 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면, 대상자의 체질량지수는 정상 또는 그 이하의 체중군이 88.3%였는데, 체형만족여부에서는 '불만족한다'가 77.7%였고 실제보다 자신을 살찐 편으로 생각하고 있으며, 자신의 신체에 불만족하고 있었다. 체중조절행위 유무에서는 '있다'가 84.2% 였는데, 자신의 체형이 적절하다고 인식하고 있는 대상자에서도 80%, 자신의 체형에 만족하는 대상자에서도 56%가 체중 조절행위를 시도한 경험이 있었다. 체중조절방법 선택에서는 '운동'이 48.7%로 가장 높았고, 그 다음이 '운동과 다른 방법 병용'이 31.9%였다. 하루 한 끼 이상 결식하는 비율 조사 결과에서는 저체중군의 아침 결식률이 83%로 아주 높게 나타났다. 이결과를 토대로 간호학생이 자신의 체형인식을 바르게 할 수 있도록 지도되어야 하고, 체중조절을 무리하게 시행하여 건강에 해를 입지 않도록 바람직한 운동 및 체중조절방법 등을 전문가에게 처방을 받아 시행 할 수 있도록 해야 한다.

A mothers' perspective on fish and her child's fish consumption in Surakarta, Indonesia

  • BACKGROUD/OBJECTIVES: Understanding the factors associated with fish consumption is necessary to determine strategies to improve the fish consumption particularly those high in omega-3 long chain polyunsaturated fatty acids (n-3 LCPUFA). The aim of this study was to analyse the correlation between a mother's perspective on fish and actual fish consumption in their children. SUBJECTS/METHODS: Two hundred thirty-one elementary school children grade 3-6 and their mothers in Surakarta were recruited using multi stage random sampling for this study. Data was collected in July and August 2017. A validated questionnaire consisted of 3 topics including knowledge related to the health benefits and organoleptic properties of fish and cooking technique-related attitudes on fish were used to measure the mother's response to the fish properties. A validated food frequency questionnaire and a food picture book of fish specifically designed for the survey were developed and used to assess fish consumption of the children. A χ2 test was used to analyse the correlation between the mothers' perspective on fish and their children's fish consumption. RESULTS: The median fish consumption in children was 65 g/d with fried non-oily or lean fish, e.g., milkfish (locally called Bandeng) and catfish (locally called Lele) were consumed more than oily fish as well as processed fish products. Of all children, 31% met the fish consumption recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency-Food and Drug Administration 2017. There was no relationship between a mother's knowledge related to health benefits, organoleptic properties and cooking technique-related attitude toward fish and her child's fish consumption. CONCLUSIONS: The fish consumption of children is not influenced by their mother's perspective on fish. Nutrition education strategies are warranted to improve fish consumption and maintain the optimal benefits by consuming fish, including fish high in n-3 LCPUFA.

구강건강교육 전후에 구강건강행동과 계획된 행동이론 변수들과의 융합적 상관관계 연구 (Convergence correlation of oral health behavior and planned behavior theory variables before and after oral health education)

  • 이 연구는 구강건강교육 전후 구강건강행동과 계획된 행동이론변수들 및 구강건강행동의 영향요인들과의 관계를 알아보기 위해 시도되었다. 알코올전문병원에 입원한 62명의 남성환자들을 대상으로 하여 구조화된 설문지와 구강검사를 통하여 자료를 얻었고, 상관관계분석을 이용하여 해석하였다. 교육전 상관관계지수와 비교하였을 때, 구강건강 교육후 구강 건강교육그룹은 구강건강행동과 행동의도, 행위태도, 주관적 규범, 인지된 행동조절이 유의미하게 긍정적인 관계를 보였다. 교육후 변수들은 통계적으로 더욱더 높은 상관관계지수를 보였다. 그것은 구강건강교육에 의하여 상관관계가 더욱 강화되었음을 의미한다. 이는 입원한 알코올중독환자들의 구강건강을 향상시키기 위해서 구강건강교육을 체계적으로 해야 하는 근거를 제시한 것이다.
