This study investigates working parent stress. This study surveyed 240 working mothers who are raising toddlers and 106 teachers in Seoul, Cyeong-gi, and Incheon. For this study, the Parenting Stress scale developed by Kim & Kang (1997) was used as the instruments for measurement and parental stress. To measure maternal separation anxiety, this study used the Maternal Separation Anxiety Scale (MSAS) developed by Hock (1989), while the Attitude for Occupation scale developed by Farel (1980) was used to measure the attitude for occupation. In addition, the Preschool Adjustment Questionnaire (PAQ) developed by Jewsuwan, Luster and Kostelink (1992), and modified by Oh Chong Eun (2001) were used as the instruments for measurement and adjustment. Data analysis was done using the SPSS WIN 15.0 version and the collected data were subject to a descriptive statistical analysis, one-way ANOVA t-test, and multiple regression analysis. The influential independent variables affecting parenting stress listed in order of significance were maternal attitude for occupation, adjustment of children, maternal anxiety, and income.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the degree of socialization of household work and to analyze the influence of demographic and psycho-social variable on socialization of household work. For the purpose of this study, questionnaires were administrated to 314 housewives in Pusan. For the statistical analysis were as follows; 1)The degree of socialization in the domain of food showed significant difference by number of family, number of children, housewife's age, housewife's education, husband's education, income and sex-role attitude. The purpose of this research was to investigate the effects of demographic, occupation value, career attitude, and social support on high school students' career preparation behavior. The data was collected from the Korean Survey on of the Career and occupation of Youth in 2009(N=3,499). Descriptive statistics, One-way ANOVA, T-test, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis were performed on SPSS 17.0. The results of this study are as follows: first, career preparation behavior according to gender was much higher for female students than male students. There were statistically significant differences in career preparation behavior according to school years. The first year students' perception in of career preparation behavior was higher than the second, and third year students. The first year students' perception in of career preparation behavior was higher than second, and third year students. Second, career preparation behavior had a significant correlations with work value, career attitude, family support, and school support. Third, this study demonstrated that career decisiveness and family support was a strong factor in career preparation behavior. In addition, among all factors, the career decisiveness of career attitude was proved to be the most influential factor on career preparation behavior. The study discusses practical implications for career education programs.
The objective of this study was to compare the attitude of merchant marine student of Thailand in 3 aspects; cognitive, affective and behavioral classified by institutes, domiciles, parent's occupation, parent's income per month, motivation and information receiving concerning mariner profession. The sample used in this study consisted of 867students in maritime institutes of Thailand. The instrument implemented in collecting data was a set of 30 five rating scale questionnaires. The statistical methods applied in analyzing the data were mean, standard deviation, t-test and one way analysis of variance and fisher's LSD. The results of this research shows that the attitude in vocational education of Thai merchant marine student was of the high in every aspect. Attitude for mariner profession of Thai merchant marine student in terms of different institutes had different in all aspects. In terms of different domiciles, it shows different attitude in affection and similar attitude in cognition and behavior. In terms of parent's occupation, it shows similar in all aspects. In terms of parent's income per month, it shows different attitude in cognition and affection and similar attitude in behavior. In terms of motivation, it shows similar in all aspects. In terms of information receiving concerning mariner profession, it shows different attitude in all aspects.
This paper presents basic supporting data necessary for planning an educational intervention strategy as part of a communication strategy that would form an extensive national consensus on and enhance national understanding of irradiated foods. A survey was conducted to collect data on the knowledge, attitude, and behavior with regard to irradiated foods among community. It appeared 133 male (36.5%) and 231 women persons (63.5%). After irradiated food were analyzed, whole knowledge, attitude, and behavior standard to the irradiated food is 2.32, 11.90, and 12.92 scores respectively. The knowledge, attitude, behavior of irradiated foods according to person characteristics were analyzed. The knowledge on irradiated food was statistical difference by gender, age, education standard and occupation (p<0.05), whereas no statistical difference marriage (p>0.05). The attitude on irradiated food was statistical difference by age, education standard and occupation (p<0.05), whereas no statistical difference gender (p>0.05). The behavior on irradiated food was statistical difference by age, education standard and occupation (p<0.05), whereas no statistical difference gender and marriage (p>0.05). The coefficient of correlation of knowledge and attitude in irradiated food showed positive correlation of r=0.324 (p<0.01). This study attempted to examine a theoretical framework which synthesizes risk attitude, type of investment management and investment behavior and to provide the specific investment strategy by analysing several variables which have effect upon the investment behavior. The results of this research were as follow : 1. Risk attitude had significant differences by the variabels such as age, sex, education, income and debt/asset ratio. Also the type of investment management was influenced significantly by the variables such as age, education, occupation, income, total asset, debt/asset ratio, achievement motivation and risk attitude. The ratio of risky asset holdings was affected by the variabels such as age, education, occupation, housing ownership, income, total asset, debt/asset ratio, achievement motivation, risk attitude and type of investment management. 2. Among several variables affecting the ratio of risky asset holding risk attitude, education, type of investment management, debt/asset ratio and achievement motivation had direct effect on it. Besides age had indirect effect through risk attitude and age, achievement motivation and risk attitude had indirect effect through the type of investment management. 3. The results of this study showed that causal relation between input, throughput and output can be applied to household's investment behavior and the concept of risk or risk attitude can be applied to other fields except household's investment. Also it could be attributed to provide the investment strategy for improving level of household's financial well-being.
The study investigated the hygienic practice attitudes of 500 housewives living in the Seoul area through survey. The suey questionnaire evaluated general information, purchasing behaviors, 4 parts of hygienic practice attitude and the associated factors. The subjects were mostly full-time housewives aged in their $30{\sim}40's$, high school graduates from middle-class families who had been married for $6{\sim}10$ years. The mean score for hygienic practice attitude was 2.9 out of 5 point scale, representing a fairly low hygienic practice attitude except for food preparation area(3.4 pt.). Factors affecting hygienic practice attitude were age, occupation, and marriage term. Practice attitude was positively correlated with age (p<0.01). Full-time housewives had better practice attitude. Housewives with <5 and >26 years of marriage showed inferior practice attitude (p<0.05). In addition, food purchasing behaviors were strongly related to hygienic practice attitude. Housewives gathering hygiene information from mass media maintained a significantly higher practice attitude (p<0.05), and so did the housewives focusing on 'nutrition' and 'freshness' when fish and frozen foods were purchased (p<0.05). In contrast, housewives focusing on cost had a significantly lower practice attitude (p<0.05). In conclusion, the level of hygienic practice attitude of housewives was fairly low and was affected by age, occupation status, marriage term and several aspects of purchasing behaviors. Therefore, it is extremely important to conduct training and education for housewives to improve their hygienic practice attitude and awareness of hygiene.
The purpose of this study was to find out the relationships among the eating behavior, the nutrition knowledge & the physical growth, and factors influencing each of them in middle school students. Eight hundred three boys and girls, who were sampled from the third graders of 6 middle schools located in Taejeon and Ahnmyeondo, were asked to fill out the questionaire. The statistics used for data analysis were Frequency, Percentage, Oneway, Crosstabs, Chi-square($X^2$), t-test, Pearson Correlation, Regression, and Path analyses. The results are summarized as follows: I. The asked students showed the significant difference in frequency intaking food and the eating attitude depending on sexual distinction and area. The girls got higher frequency score(intaking food) than the boys did and the students in Taejeon got better eating attitude score than those in Ahnmyeondo. Also, the girls got higher nutrition knowledge score than the boys did and the students in Taejeon got higher nutrition knowledge than those in Ahnmyeondo. 2. The higher the economic level was, the higher the frequency score(intaking food) was. Also, the students whose father had the occupation involved in the tertiary industry and better school ing made higher nutrition knowledge, eating attitude, and frequency intaking food than others. The students whose father had the occupation involved in the tertiary industry and better schooling were taller and heavier than others. 3. The variables influencing on the frequency intaking food were father's school ing, father's occupation, economic level, sexual distinction, eating attitude. The variables influencing on eating attitude significantly was only the birth order. The variables influencing on the height were sexual distinction, residential area, eating attitude, frequency intaking food, father's schooling. Also, the variables affecting the weight were sexual distinction, father's schooling, eating attitude, frequency intaking food.
The purpose of this study is to investigate of differences on the viewpoint of value, job aspiration, job attitude between male and female librarians. The objects of survey are 60 librarians at National Assembly Library. The results of the survey are as follows 1) In general, librarians have advanced propensity on viewpoint of value. The purpose of this study was to find out the amount of the household work time related to food and examine the factors affecting the time accomplished by married female home-based workers and on-site workers. The data were collected from 165 married female home-based workers, and 292 married female on-site workers in Pusan and Kyungnam province, by the self-administered questionnaire. frequency distributions, Cronbach's alpha, t-tests, Pearson's correlations, and multiple regression analyses were conducted by SPSS/PC+. The major findings of this study were as follows: (1) both married female home-based and on-site workers spent more time on household work related to food in a weekend than in a weekday, (2) in a weekday, occupation was significantly related to the amount of time that married female home-based workers spent on food household work, whereas age and occupation were significant for married female on-site workers, (3) on Saturday, the significant factors of the time spent on food household work were the number of family and occupation for married female home-based workers, and educational level, occupation, sex role attitude, existence of children of 6 years or under, and existence of elders/disability within the family for married female on-site workers, and (4) on Sunday, for married female home-based workers, the number of family, occupation, and the level of market good substitution had significant effects on the amount of time spent on food household work, and for married female on-site workers, age, the number of family, occupation, sex role attitude, work hours on Sunday, and the level of market good substitution were significant.
